Okay, it's probably EOS CCA.  Even the wikipedia has them and a link to their home page.  When I searched the name I got the following link to the Ripoff Reports.

They left a message identifying themselves as ELS CCA saying it was an attempt to collect a debt and that I should call back.  They didn't say for whom they were calling or who they represented.  I'm not about to call anyone like this back.  Their call showed up as TOLL FREE on my phone and it was a robo call.  If they become a regular caller I'll have to block their number.

If this is EOS CCA from as far back as four years ago, it's a d/b/a for Collecto, Inc., of Norwell MA - a collection agency.  After three calls in one day last week, none of which I answered, I received a Notice of Collection Placement today, dated the same day, demanding payment to a firm with which I had never done business.  I didn't bother with the F***Y ** letter, just the nasty letter to follow - Certified, Return Receipt Requested, rejecting the claim, demanding rescission, and expunging any negative reference to my credit report.  I added that an apology would be nice.  How they concocted a phony claim is puzzling, but i suspect it's a 'throw mud at the wall to see what sticks' tactic, and possibly to cow some fearful person into co-operating.  Does it matter that I'm 77 years old?  Since this is an obviously fabricated claim, these are more illegitimate scum bags.  

I just purchased concert tickets from Live Nation and at the bottom of the screen there was a $50 rebate option. I clicked on the link and this is the phone number provided to call for your rebate. I googled the number as I figured it was not true and this is where it lead me. I hope this helps!

2 messages left on my house phone stating they have important information from a debt collector and leaving this phone number.  Mechanical voice sounds like ELS CCA, which I can find no information about.

Gave organization name as "EOSCCA", though when I called the # back the organization was given as EOCCA. The call was supposedly for a relative. They refused to identify the organization beyond giving the string of letters/name. I let them know I could not relay information from anyone who refused to identify themselves appropriately. I warned that I would report them to the AG of PA. As there was still no explanation from the rep., I reported them and called to let them know I had reported them for failureto identify themselves, and for giving a false name (EOSorXCCA, when the phone was answered for EOCCA). I also found a number for a local office: 585-256-6060. I called and asked for further information - and again was refused. I insisted, pointing out that the USPS will not process mail without a return address. After some time on hold, the rep stated that they were an accounts receivable firm. Given their hesitation to answer this question repeatedly, who knows. But, in short, this organization seems short on integrity.

I get numerous calls asking for a person that is not at this location

We continue to get calls from this number. What a bunch of low-life sub humans. With a little effort they could get an honest job.

sounds like what happened to me only with a black female doing the calling. Really rude people and for what.

This company has repeatedly called me at all hours of the day and weekend asking for someone I have never heard of. I called the number they gave in order to remove my name. That was weeks ago. When I actually get their call (if I'm home) there is no one on the line, and no way to talk to anyone. So, I just spent a few minutes calling their number ten times and putting in my number to remove.

If everyone did this, maybe we could overload their system. Just a thought.

If they are a legit company they are doing their clients a huge disservice through their sloppy business practices. But, I think they are scammers.

I've had these people call a few times asking for my NEIGHBOR!!!  I have called them back asking not to call me about my neighbor.  I asked her how she got my number and she said by looking up the address as I have the same address as my neighbor, but live in different apartments.  Each time I call back to get my number off their list, they still call back anyway.
Is this legal?  looking up addresses and calling for a neighbor?  
I am getting sick of all the calls that start at 8 in the morning until late at night (not all from them, but from not for profit groups too)

Just called the number back and had the option to remove the number from their list to discontinue the phone calls.  It was all automated hopefully it works.  The recording said 24-72 hours it will be removed.

These people keep calling me and I have no debts.... I see online others have complained also.

Number called several times, 2 day lapse and renewed calling again; asking for a relative [who I am sure is NOT in debt] as a collection agency who must find her.
I did not call them back but they have returned again today for a third round of calls.
Are they expecting people to pay off supposed debts for family members perhaps?
Can't understand what they can gain but is obviously a scam.

These people call repeatedly, even on weekends. I once talked twice in one day to two different people calmly explaining that noone by that name lived at this number. The second guy was more aggressive. He said my credit was being used by this person. I told him to send me the paperwork sent to the person using my number. Wouldn't even entertain the idea. Nor would he tell me the name of the company.

We then got into a Judge Judy exchange where I told him I'd report him for harassing me and him shouting at me that I'd better listen up because my credit was being ruined. I did her, "Are you trying to talk over me?" until he hung up.

Now if I answer the phone, which I often do as I don't look to see the number before accessing the call, and I use my name as this is a business line, they hang up. I think they've added a note.

How is having them send you a check supposed to help?

In checking my credit report, it shows negative rating from EOS CCA.  Was denied loan application due to this.  What steps should I take to clear this up?  Any help appreciated!

Better yet have them send it by money gram or western union that way they won't have your address. and you can pick it up at numberous places. And Then they will probably leave you alone if you tell them every time they call that they will have to pay for any information that you have.

I think that everyone who gets a call from this number asking for information on someone should tell the party calling to send you a check then when the check clears you will call them back with the information that you have on the person they are trying to find.  Ask them to send it Fed Express and ask for at least 2000 dollars.  I am going to tell them this the next time they call me looking for someone.

I got one this morning sometime for a person that I do know but haven't seen in over 10 years wanting to know their location. I might call them and tell them send me a check for my information and I will tell you what I know after the check clears. The message was from Carrie Smith at 877-207-1406.  You think they might pay me for the things I know? Like you Darknessp times are hard and I could use the money.

I get calls from this number at midnight and all through the day,what the heck do i just get rid of my phone period,i have tried calling these people and got nothing.when will it ever end?i hope someone out there can stop this nonsence.
