I received a call from the number (951) 468-0381 Yesterday 6, yes six times on my cell while I was at work.  They are talking to me about check fraud and criminal activity.  They threatened to come arrest me at work or at home and how if I would pay them 981.37 they would settle. Then they told me that they could tell that I had never ever been in any legal trouble or had any judgments against me. They told me that if this went to court it would cost me 8,500.00.  I demanded that they let me call them back after work but was informed this had to be taken care of NOW!  I hung up on them.  Then they called my work four times and then asked for my supervisor and a fax number.  So far they haven't faxed anything or called any more.  However, the sent a 911 number to my phone so that when I turned my phone on it dialed 911 THREE TIMES.  WTH??????

This is to inform you all that they are a scam. This company practices in violating the FDCPA on a regular basis. They buy Out Of Stat debt and try to threaten law suits that they cant proceed with and then they try to tack on intrested that is illegal to do. SO Mr Murdock or who ever you really are we are aware of you and your company and will advised the BBB, NARCA , and any other person who cares to get get the real answers. So Mr. Murrdock please be adived to be a little bit more professioanl when your being recordered..

When they call, while on the phone, Google their number and start reading these complaints back to them! They will hang up.

Calls from this number were sent to my majic jack voicemail.  I do not have a phone connected to my majic jack so the voicemail was recorded and sent to my email.  They said the same garbage as has been reported by everyone else on this site.  This is definitely a phony.  I've had the majic jack for a couple of months and I selected a random phone number.  There is no listing for these numbers. They do not have my name or any other information about me. They just keep leaving messages about "a property you own" and to call them back immediately. They also repeat the same threats over and over. I never call them back. DO NOT RETURN THE CALLS FROM THEM. DO NOT ANSWER ANY CALLS FROM THEM. Eventually them will stop. They are trying to scare you into giving them money.

they called my mother inlaws house looking for me said it was very important i call them back so i did  they asked me if i receved court papers in the mail so i said no i dont know what your talking about then said i was being sued for check fraud when i never wrote a bad check to anyone the told me if i pay $585 then i wont be sued for $3000 but i have to pay in 3 days i find this to be very fishy

Their business is unknown, as they may be using a router located in this building or they may be apart of an unregistered company. This requires the help of any individuals if a complete trace were to be completed.

This person calls and says that they are going to send a Sheriff to arrest us because they have a lawsuit against us and constantly harass us so I had to cuss them out today and tell them to go ahead and send the Sheriff.

Recieved a call from these people threatening to prosecute me criminally for a debt that they refused to verify in writing. This is an illegal practice!  A collection agency cannot threaten you with criminal prosicution OR tell you that you are a "defendant" in a lawsuit that doesn't exist (and if they are still trying to collect, it doesn't). These people are also verbally abusive which is illegal. Don't let them scare you. They want your money & don't care what they have to do to get it (including scaring you to death) If they call tell them that you won't take any action on the debt until they supply you with proof of the debt in writing. If they get verbally abusive tell them that you, again, expect proof of the debt in writing and are going to file a report them to the FTC. Try to document the phone call as best you can so you can give the FTC an accurate account of what threats they made during the phone call.

I received a call from this same company today... They asked for a lump sum. I explained that I just got laid off and that I didn't have any money to  pay with right now maybe next month and he responded "never mind you're just a deadbeat that doesn't pay your effing bills" I said excuse me? And he yelled "shut your effing mouth and I'll" I hung up on him... I called the company back and asked to file a complaint on mr. Murdoc and the operator said good luck and hung up on me. I doubt this is a legitimate company, I have worked in debt collections and we were never allowed to talk like this even if the customer was being rude we had to sit there an be polite. I called the cops and spoke with a deputy he suggested to watch my accounts and filed a report so that if something does happen that I can bring the report into court about the phone call...

I received a phone call yesterday around 8:35pm est from the above number , A man stated I was name in a civil lawsuit and i owe epay loans $600.00  and they will settle for $400.00 and  if you don't pay a officer will come to your home and issue you a summons to appear in court . Can someone  tell me what to do?

I've gotten the same calls...three times now. Same message about "the property".  I called the number back the second time they called and the guy just says he's with the corporate office with JDI and associates.  He kept wanting to know the number that was called so he could "look me up".  I refused to give him my number and he got nasty and hung up on me.  They called the third time today and I called back still refused to give my number.  When I told him when I looked up his number I found reports of it being a scam, he said, "Good luck with that" and hung on me again.   Total BS!!!

I received a voicemail yesterday from (951)737-4800 saying 'this is JDI Assoc, we have left several messages for you to call us back (not true as this was the first of any), it is extremely important that we speak with you today, this is regarding the property address, our number is ^, we need to hear from you today.' Then today a different number (951) 271-4840 saying 'I'm calling for *name* in regards to a situation that requires immediate attention, it is also a time sensitive matter so it is very important that you return my call ASAP, my direct line is ^, call me back.'
I don't have any 'property' other than my vehicle and it is mine free and clear and has been for the last 3 years. If I do call these jerks back or answer, I'm going to give them the number of my lawyer and the non-emergency police. I believe somehow they have come across old debt files that have only the last 4 digits of a social listed and a contact number and they are using that info to run a scam. When I looked up the first number above also on this site, that was my understanding and perception.

I checked these people out on the computer they do not exsit , The number traces back to a Real Estate Company . I called the State Police and talked to them gave them all the information that I had found and they looked it up and told me the same thing that I found . And told me that it was 100 pecent a SCAM!

Received a phone call from JDI & ssociates at 957-271-4840 on 01/04/2012.  Asked to return the call regarding property.  Never heard of them.  Decided to check out their phone number.  Glad I found this website.

I have gotten calls from this company, for someone who rented a house from me 3 years ago. If they were a 8.8 out of 10 company, then I would be able to get them to stop calling me. I do not owe them any money, and they are breaking the law. If you really think they are a "trusted" firm, then give me a phone number for them, that won't all of a sudden get "disconnected". I am going to be contacting the Attorney General, because I have proof on my answering machine that they violated the law.

These People called me told me my SS# and told me that I had a civil Suit Aganist me .  When I repeataly asked what for the woman on the other end told me she couldn't tell me anything and put me on hold then we got diconnected. Then I got another phone call the next day saying the same thing agian ! By then I pissed off and a man got  on the phone and starting talking real fast wouldn't tell me what the civil suit was for and then proceed to tell me that I owed all this money for a bill that I did not know about , I asked him for some paper work or at least send me the court papers for the law suit and he wouldn't give me any information what court or where it was . So I told him until I got any paper work I was not agreeing to pay any thing and hung up . He called back and spoke to my husband and told my husband that he was sending the police to arrest me if I refused to talk to him about the collection , I wouldn't speak to him .So , my husband talked to and agreed to pay the bill , But Iam afraid this is a scam he already gave out his bank info along with to post dated checks to pay the bill , he told him If he did not agree to pay it or I did not pay the bill I would be arrested . I told my husband not to do it that wwe needed to check it out first but , he wanted to get the bill collector to stop calling and did not want to have me arrested as they were claiming they were going to do . what can I do ?

got a call threatening court proceedings from a 6 year old debt they had my last 4 digits of ss#  said i owed $2700 but would settle for $250 if i would buy a debit card at walmart and load the money and give them the # said i had to do it today

Its is a scam they cannot go after someone for money and threaten people I think they should be but out of business .I am a attorney and wish they would call me I would make them think twice all the info they get is old and try to scare peole into paying .I saw tell them I need to talk to a attorney before I do anything and see if they still bother you its all a scam

I got the same "official" sounding message in my voicemail.  To be honest, I NEVER pick up unless I know the name or number.  I have been getting a lot of calls, both "robo" and "human" from various bill collectors asking for someone named "Ashley", maybe someone who had my number or gave my number? Ashley if you're here honey please pay your bills so these guys stop cluttering my voicemail.

First I got a phone call from JDI about property. Then the next night they called looking for my niece who does not share my surname and lives in another state. They are very aggressive about what they are trying to do. If you have caller ID and don't recognize any number, don't pick up.

This group of collectors step all over the collection laws.  Why, because they get away with it.  You must keep records of times, and the threats made. If you can get the individuals name that is making the call would also be helpful.
