I had signed up for no marketing phone calls.  Why did this come through?

How do i make them stop? We already get verizon.

no name.  I get this type all the time and it is Verizon. again.

I get several mystery numbers regularly. I too am on the DNC list, but yet they still come through, often. This # (877-222-3340) comes through often and once again it was on my ID today, June 9, 2008. I can't stand it! I've previously answering these calls and respectfully declining whatever it is they are offering- in addition to telling them not to call again. That doesn't work either.
Now,if I am home I dont bother to pick up, otherwise when I get home I look through the caller ID to see how many mystery toll free calls have come through. It's very annoying. This number comes up way too often. It feels like an invasion of my privacy.

I too get a call from this number almost on a daily basis.  I have tried pushing 7, 7, 7, then just push 7 until I get a dial tone.  This is suppose to take me off of their computer, guess what it doesn't work.  I'm ticked, I have everything Verizon offers yet they won't leave me alone.  And yes, I'm on the do not call list.

i just got a call from this freaking number... they basicly call me every single day !!!!! and most of the time i am not home (thank god) !!!

They seem to call me on a daily basis.  I never answer it either........thank goodness for caller ID.

877-222-3340 is Verizon Marketing.  It comes up as Unknown Caller.  File a complaint with your state attorney general.  This crap of getting arround the law has to stop.  No ID, I complain.

The Do Not Call list applies to telemarketers (unsolicited sales calls).  Just being on the list does not eliminate all calls you are unfamiliar with.  If you do business at any time with a company, they may call you legally.  Research companies may call you. Simple solution is don't answer unfamiliar numbers.  If it is important, someone would leave a message.  Relax, it is only a phone call.

On 8/28/2008 at 2:11 PM received a call from this number with no message left.

Verizon is the worst offender for calling with sales pitches..even after being asked repeatedly not to call. In a word, they SUCK.

Same number called at 3pm, daily, from Verizon.
I called them to take my name off there hit list, but Nada.
My number is also on the Do Not Call Registry.
I hate Verizon!  Especially there wireless service.  Boycott!!!.

It's actually a number for AT&T that is no longer in service.
