UPDATE: Apparently started getting calls from some one new with the SAME story yet they say they dont know who Coyne Trace is and stating that THEY (Coyne Trace) are a fake collector the got another voice mail as shown below. This time from "Mercedes Fuller" calling from 877-312-0141 and telling me to call 877-867-8119

"Mercedes Fuller" (no mention of who she was representing yet what I can assume is that it's Stillman, Wise and Associates based out of NY). In a broken message (as if scripted) she stated that they had two pending cases against me for "check fraud" and stated that I needed to call them back and reference "case number" (***432) asap. She continued to incoherently spew "Failure to call us back will enter a plea of guilty on your behalf ". The end of the voice mail was ended with "You have been officially been served". Kinda hard to develop a check fraud record when neither CheckSystems nor Telecheck have you in their system.. Sounds like some boiler room recovery agency trying to reclaim some expired debts and trying to trump up ways to scare people into calling them back.
Note: You can only be SERVED by a civil servant (aka. Constable) within the county in which you reside. NOT by a voice mail (that for all they know, may no longer belong to the person they are attempting to "Serve".

same thing happen to me they wanted me to call and GIVE them my work address and home address so they could "serve me" wow with the threats!

Follow up: Nothing ever transpired from this.. Just another penny to dollar debt buyer trying to use fear tactics to collect on expired & non-validated debts.

I had 5 missed calls from a blocked number within under 5 mins. When I finally answered it, a man named Joe Romero started off saying that there were 2 charges being filed against me. He never said who he was, what county, the company he represented nor who he/or his firm was calling on behalf of. He only mentioned a "case" number (RG*****599) and that if I didn't call the 877-228-5844 within an hour then he would have to move on with the paperwork. By the time I got to the office, I had a new voice mail with him saying he hasn't heard anything from (I'm assuming Coyne Trace) and that he had spoken with my work's HR department on serving me papers then ended the voice mail with "the best of luck to you".
