I received a voicemail from a blocked number which turned out to be this Crosspoint Associates. They claimed to be legal counsel and used fancy words. But when I peeled back the BS layer, it is actually a debt collector. They just bought an account for PayDayOne from 2007 that I owe $100 on. Give me a break. Good cover though, liers!

Sister, you are full of it. Little mental sticky: If you are being served in a civil case, no sheriff, cop, etc is coming to the house to do so. It is a process server, if you are served in person. A "legal courier"...please. I don't know about where you are from, but in the ol US of A, they don't call you first, just in case you run. What a bogus post. Go back to work, ripping off old ladies.

Hey thanks for the advice Tulsa.....but because I listened to you I was served and now have to go to court. I am glad you are not my lawyer. I knew I should not have listened to you. My husband told me to take care of it but I showed him what you said and we both believed you. I don't know who Alex Lawson is but Joseph Riley showed up on my doorstep.

Called them back. This is from a collection agency, Crosspoint Associates, LLC, 270 Northpointe Parkway, Amherst, NY 14228. They were looking for someone else with my name, but not my DOB or last 4 of SSN. Asked them to delete my cell phone number from their system; they said they would.
See, no "legal courier" would really have shown up in 2 days...just a ruse to get you to call back out of curiousity (which I did).

Received message on my cell phone from a blocked number from a person identifying himself as Alex Lawson, identifying himself as a "legal courier" saying he will be bringing out a "certified notice of intent for my appearance in court" within 2 days, & saying if I have any questions I can contact "the claimant's office directly" at 877-229-8223 with a case number that is not a local court case number.
It will be interesting to see what if anything shows up.
