I just received a text too. They we contacting me about a job I applied for about a week ago. They did ask about my education level but didn't push me into doing anything like signing up for school. It was a brief call and they explained to me that they weren't the actual employer but that if the employer wanted to interview me that they would call or email me to set up an interview. It was just the job board doing a prescreen of my application information.

We just got a call from this number.

Same as most everyone else.
But I returned call to that no.
She said she is verifying my info I placed on the job app online!
5 to 45 min to complete...
All her ?'s were from the app!
Done in 10 min.
She said now that my app info has been verified.
She will recommend me to the client.
Any further contact will be from the employer.
That this is a new tool to weed out unqualified applicants before forwarding to an employer.

I have verizon and just received a txt to call regarding a Administrative job. No company name. This is B.S no legitimate company would txt a potential candidate about a job!!!! DO NOT RETURN A TXT OR CALL!!!! Make a complaint to the BBB in your area

Just got a text from this number. It says it's for the maintenance handyman job that I applied for. I did just apply for for that type of position but I would never respond to a company that would text me and not bother to call me directly. I would also never return a call to a number that cannot be found in the yellow pages. What kind of a business does not want to have a listed number. PLEASE DO NOT RESPOND TO THIS NUMBER!!!

I received a text from this number this morning, I also have AT&T. Told me to call this number about an HR job I applied for. I have been applying to a lot of jobs off Monster and Indeed websites so I figure thats how they got my information. Yet they didn't say what company it was for or anything. I was wondering if it was legitimate, I have my doubts off the bat because I have NEVER had companies in the past contact me in this way about a job. Companies will either call or email, not text. And especially after reading these other posts I am definitely NOT returning the text. I have had a problem in the past with getting scam texts with AT&T so watch out!!

Well i just got me one of these calls this morning from 8772314708 about a warehouse job i applied for..i did..but they couldnt give m any info on the company...which leaves me uneasy..they asked about my education...and thats it wierd....oh well

These people ask you to text "STOP" back to their number, but my gut reaction is that you should NOT respond in any way. The last thing you want is for their system to verify that you have a legitimate number because then they can compile a list of verified numbers and sell these to other scammers. But, if they already have your number, they could potentially sell it anyway.

If you get repeated texts/calls, check into the government's do-not-call registry. I would only recommend that you do it AFTER you start getting unwanted calls on your number.

Got a message asking to call about a HR job I applied for, which I don't remember applying for such a job. Sent them a stop notice, and hopefully it has stopped.

They sent a text about a desk job position. Who has the nerve to capitalize off people searching for valid employment in a tough economic time!!! This is ridiculous! Watch out people!

I just got a text from this number asking me to call about a Mail Clerk Job I applied for (which I never did). It's a phishing scam, folks. Pure and simple. Don't fall for it. Call AT&T and make a complaint. If enough of us do, maybe we can put a stop to it.

I got 2 different text messages about some job and the other# is 888-455-5537 - same type message but when I texted back asking for location of the job I did not get a reply. I did not call back figuring they were some sham gathering people info. Unemployed I posted my resume with a particular job in the CT jobs link from their dept of labor. Had a FL address at the bottom of the posted jobs. Phoney baloney. Blocked them on cell.

Same here, I got a text from  32075 on my cell phone telling me to call this number about a job.

I called the number and its Career Network.  The recorded voice basically says they verify information for positions applied for, I assume its because you applied online, Once you are connected with an agent they will verify all information that you gave and will ask a few questions on behalf of the companies.

I received a text from them to call them for a unarmed security officer position.
