Received the same call thanks to all that said it was a scam my only question is how did they get my cell phone number ??????

Fishing Scam if it was the bank calling you they already have all your banking information!!!! (RIGHT)

Called it back, got asked for my card number, and hung up - i don't even have a bank of america account

Recvd, SMS text on two different phones from two different numbers. Called 877# a recording asks for your card #, exp date then PIN. I entered false info and it tries to verify the number and at that time it would have cleared out my account.

Received same text at 10:40 am.. And I do not have a Bank of America account. Scammers I assume.

Total Scam, both my work cell and my personal cell got it along with my wife and her cell phone. BoA states there is nothing they can do about it and said NOT to call the number or reply to the text.

I didn't key in my credit card number, tried to bypass by hitting 0 but it doesn't work.

I recd the same thing...wierd since I knew I had nothing with BOA....scam...

Please dont call back that number.. and if you did please get your card blocked and get a new card

Yeah, me too. It appears to be from some sort of IM service like skype, ichat or aim, the caller ID is 362-45. What is this?

Got a text also that said unsolicited activity on my account call immediately.  I called just to tell someone off and the only thing you can do is punch in a credit card number.  I wonder how many people fell for it.

...yes I called it.  Was immediately asked for my card number.  I'm thinking SCAM!!!

i too got the similar message and when called back.. they asked me all my card details and i found something suspicious so i reported to the bank about this... and they said it was fraud call.

Note that I don't have, nor have I ever had, a BOA account.

I just received the same message and Bank of America is apparently looking into the situation.

Rec'd text saying that there is unsolicited activity on a BoA account.

I currently have a Fraud Investigation for charges I did not make on 2 of my BOA accounts, I have had nothing but problems. I pay my bills out of my BOA accounts and my accounts are frozen. I can't even check my accounts or credit card, nor use them. This happened on 10/05/2009.
Yesterday I received a call from this number on my cell phone saying:

When I called this number a recording said the number was disconnected!
