I got this call I was on noticed that I would be served by USC for a bad check.

I got the same call that said "check fraud" and I haven't had a check book in 6 years. It said something about a "District Court." We don't have a district court. It didn't give any amount or anything. It was nuts.

I got  a call saying i been severd thay will see me in court and good luck to me cuz im going to need it thay left this an mt voice msg who is this he left his name roneld johnson. this is soo crazy. should i belive it or is it a scam!!!!!!

They also called saying they are with USC and the original message was from a David Andrews and said it was about check fraud and gave me an account # with my last 4. When I said I could pay anything they threatened me with court and jail and then hung up. They also put down things saying I said this when I didn't. Called the company they said I owed and they said that they didn't have the account. When I called back and asked for David Andrews he said he wasn't with the company that he might be a processor.

Received message from 8778054307 - looks like a string of numbers reference check fraud but that's it, no details.  What might that mean?

I received a message where someone stated check fraud and they are calling from the state, but did not say which state.  Sounds a bit odd, so I'm ignoring until I receive more details.

So did I. They also gave me a "case number" that end in the last 4 digits of my social security number. The woman stated in the voice mail that it was "basically about check fraud, I don't know if it's you or someone using your information but you need to clear it up or you'll have to go to court."

Sounds sketchy to me--who leaves info like that on a voice mail?
