I did not authorize  24.97 to be taken out of  my account.  I realized what was going on when I checked my bank statements.  I am ill and on a fix income.  It is to bad we have to check everything we do.  I was charged four months before I knew.  I amcalling BBB and stopping the charge taking out of my account.  I wish I knew where they got my account number from the bank.

I am having the same problem with this company, at least you were able to get somebody to answer, i've tried for 2 days. last month after the unautorized withdrawel of funds for $52.00 i left a very nasty message that this was illegal and i needed a return phone call, nothing happened and i tried for 5 more days with no answer. I received new debit/credit cards from my bank and activated them on July 13th, not sure how this company was able to do it but they took me for another $40.00. i have instructed my bank that this is a fraudulant company and my only recourse of action is to cancel my current account and re-open a new one. what a pain in the a**.
BIG SAVINGS PLANS IS A JOKE AND FRAUDULANT COMPANY-DO NOT SPEEK TO THEM--HANG UP ON THEM IF CALLED.

the same thing happened to me and i was treated rude by 2 diff individuals named Ingrid and Carolyn...when requesting to speak to a supervisor i was told they would have to call me back. i advised them that i read the reports and supervisors dont call back. so, at that time she told me she was going to hang up on me and i asked why. i said"is it because im asking to speak to a supervisor" and she could not answer me..i think its part of their scam. if they were really customer service they would infact take the customers call. so, i did go and file my complaint with the BBB. I just cant stand someone to take funds out of my account for services i never used or signed up for.

I received calls from this number on my cell phone several times last week and the week before, but I didn't pick up. I never pick up for strange numbers on my cell or house phone. I look over my bank statement online daily, sometimes multiple times a day. I'm on a low, fixed income, and conscious of where all of my money goes. If it were just a dollar, I wouldn't have cared, but I received two charges of $24.95 from Bigsavingsplans.com within two days...one on Wednesday and one on Friday.  I sent messages to my bank and called the number listed in the description on my statement, and I haven't any contact since either day I reported the unauthorized charges. I did not agree to any plan. I went to their site, I stay home a majority of the time so I know I don't need what this obvious scam site says it offer. At this point, I just want them to cancel this account that they made in my name, if they're going to fight with me over giving my money back. I'm a full-time college student, I have to know where my money goes and any charges from services I didn't ask for, I will notice the moment it shows up.

Visa Tackles Scam Practices
(Wednesday, April 28, 2010)

Visa, one of the world's largest credit card companies, is taking aim at "scam" marketing practices that were quietly used by some of the Internet's largest retailers in recent years.

Retailers will no longer be able to allow third parties to charge a customer's card without the card owner re-entering credit card information, Visa said Tuesday. This is Visa's response to one of the biggest scandals to rock online retailing in years.

Last year, the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation launched an investigation after learning that thousands of consumers had complained about receiving mysterious credit card charges.

The committee concluded that millions of consumers were misled into signing up for so-called loyalty programs with the help of companies such as as Classmates.com, Continental Airlines, Priceline, Orbitz, Buy.com, and many others. Lawmakers said during hearings that these merchants had made an unholy but profitable alliance with one or more of three so-called post-transaction marketing firms: Webloyalty, Affinion, and Vertrue.

Under most of the agreements between the marketing firms and retailers, an advertising page is presented to shoppers while they complete a transaction at the retailer's online store. Many shoppers say they entered their e-mail address and pushed a large "Yes" button on the ad because it appeared to be a $10 cash-back offer or coupon. Many of those who complained say they thought they were being rewarded by the retailer for making a purchase.

Buried in the fine print are the full terms of the deal. Customers are notified that by providing their e-mail address they are joining a membership program and agreeing to pay one of the marketing firms a monthly fee, typically between $10 and $20. Many people said they didn't see this notice.

Visa's new requirement is designed to send a "clear signal to cardholders that a second purchase is being initiated and protects them from questionable marketing practices," the company said.

With the government leaning on them, many of the merchants involved have severed ties with the post-transaction marketers, which have also taken steps to alter their business practices. They haven't gone far enough, however, critics have said.

Bigsavingsplan.com gets your credit card information when you purchase something such as travel on the Internet, then if you click the pop-up window that says "Click to see your reward" that moment all your credit card info. gets passed to this company.   They call you and say everything is free, such as magazines and coupons.  But actually if you don't catch it in time you will see that there are monthly fees of 19.95 and 24.95.  After 2 months I had $90 in fees that they refuse to give back to you.  They are total scammers and prey upon people who have credit cards and fail to check their monthly statements.  All these other magazine merchants then got my credit card information and I saw charges for $39.95 and $34.90.  The magazine merchants agree to give you back your money if you call them.  But BigSavingsPlans.com will NOT give you back your money.  Be sure to cancel with them on the phone right away if you ever see one of their charges show up.

This number belongs to an online business by the name of bigsavingsplan.com out of Glenview, IL.  I came across this number on my credit card was charged with two unauthorized transactions, which I never did from my own.

I immediately called the number on the website 877-244-7299 and spoke with a girl who told me I signed up for their service 10 days ago and the (unauthorized) charges to my account were shipping fees for the giftcards and info they sent to me.

They say I have verified the confidential information to their agent and agreed to buy their plans , which I never did. When I asked for my money to be back to my account. They say, they do not have money back policy.

She threatened me that She would charge my card again in the next month if I do not cancel the member ship (which was a identity theft fraud by their agents).

I just canceled my credit card and kicked their butts in this way.

Be aware not to share your personal information to any unknown website or flank callers.

Had the same thing happen to me.  I received a call stating it was a free 30day trial and I told them that I would discuss with my wife.  They said that there was no money exchanging at this point, but I would receive two Target Gift Cards for free.  I then saw two $2.95 charges on my statement which put me overdraft and I now have two $34 fees attached to my account.  They told me that they would cancel, but they won't do refunds.  I demanded something to be done and Michelle said that a manager would call back within 24 to 48 hours.  That never happened.  I also emailed, and received no response.

I am also contacting the BBB.  Big Time Scam.  I can't afford two overdraft fees since I have a baby and had just had two deaths in my family within 5 weeks.

I've also had the same problem I was charged $2.95 twice. So I called the 1-800 number and had told them I didn't want this I wanted my money refunded. Don't you know a couple days later I was charged two payments of $24.95. Then tonight one month after I called and told them I wanted my money back that they never returned I got a charge of $19.98 that made my account overdrawn so now I have a $34.00 fee. I am contacting them one more time if nothing is done I will be contacting the bank and the BBB. Watch out it's a SCAM!!!!!

Bigsavingsplans.com did the exact same thing here too!  First, they charged my account $2.95 twice and later $24.95 twice, for a total of $55.80 (if my math is correct)!!!  They would not provide any information to me or my bank when we attempted to call, however they claimed that the charges were authorized!! That is just not true. I've never even spoken to anyone from this company nor have I EVER authorized a charge from them.  I still have not recovered any money from them, or my bank.  I think everyone needs to file the complaint against bigsavingsplans.com with the department of consumer affairs.  They need to be stopped!

They orginally called 25th of March which at the time I told them That I was home bound and did not see the benefits for me and that I was not interested.  I received my bank stmt and there are two charges for $2.95 taken out of my account on the same day. When I talked to Rebecca and Crystal on 4/6/10 they were the rudest customer service reps that I have ever spoke with.  And they said that there is no refund from the other comany who orginally called me. Crystal gave the companys ID #10060.. Im guessing that that is a lie... Something has to be done about companys like this... It may not seem like a lot of money, but $5.90 is alot when you are on a fixed income...
