WHEN I CALL THE NUMBER BACK NOTHING HAPPENS.

When the number comes up on the cell, answer it with the following greeting:

"Special Agent Gott Shew, Federal Bureau of Nuisance Calls. You have the right to remain silent or hang up and notify your supervisor the Bureau has captured the phone number and location of your current operation.  May I please speak with your supervisor?"

okay, the "Got You ( Gott Shew) is a bit hokey - but if everyone who gets a call from the same agent - maybe they will start thinking they are being traced?

No answer.

Received calls to my cell phone everyday for past week at least once a day and some days two and three times...I don't answer because I didn't know who and let it go to voice mail only they never leave a message...now I know it to be a scam and very annoying...I am on no call list...this is crazy..thinking the no call list is the do call list...

It's simple guys. Call the # back and enter your phone number on the do not call list. It was VERY SIMPLE to be removed.

calls me at least twice a day for past few weeks - never says anything, just hear breathing.   I put them on "hold" and go on with whatever I was doing.

I got the same call a few minutes ago. Could barely understand her "broken English" and I told her I couldn't understand her and I hung up.
I was replying to an email that I thought was from Texas Steakhouse, I get their email every week, and like everyone has said, one question lead to another and another. I have got to stop falling for all that crap.

When I see these nimbers on my caller ID. I answer the phone county morque. This throws them off !!!

don't know who is calling - states blocked number - never leaves a message - just hangs up - don't want them bother me anymore

These are scammers. Calling scammers back only confirms your number. So yeah, calling them back works great for the scammers but not so great for the suckers, because now you will just get more junk phone calls.

Received an notice to visit bit.ly.com and to enter a special code for winning an ipad.  Visited the site, entered the code and then I received a lot of spam in my email and a phone call from (877) 252-8166.  Totally agree with you and will never ever again, believe companies, because all they want to do is get your money and waste your time.

My toddler answered the phone before I could and apparently whoever was on the other end didn't want to talk baby babble with him. I called the number back and it was Degree Counseling.

Just got a call from them.  I didn't answer and no voice mail.

They call me 2 or 3 times a day and do not leave a message .I wish the calls would stop

I applied for scholarships online yesterday and have been getting calls back to back this morning. I didn't answer the first time so they hung up and called right back. SMH---stop calling me I am trying to work!!

I called back but it's nothing but dead air. No option to opt out. Wtf.

they keep calling me, several times in a row, i don't answer any calls i dont know the #, n it will go to voice mail, n it sounds like a { boiler room } looks of ppl talking ect,in the background, but never is a mesgz left?

Ugh, this number has called 10 times in the last 2 weeks!  I never answer but would love to find out how to block it!

If you call 877-252-8166, they have a recording that will allow you to be placed on the do not call list.  It is unfortunate that you have to ask them not to automatically call you.  It is a college degree counseling service.  Recently, I signed up for a free online newsletter and it prompted me to fill out additional information about me.  Although I clicked the box that I did not want to hear from someone regarding obtaining a degree, they have called several times over the past few days.  I wish they would figure out that all this does is make people dislike them even more, instead of actively encouraging people to call them.
