These people are invasive! They don't quit and they are very annoying. Today, I received two calls from them, one with this number and the other was 877 214 7850. Both identified them selves as "United States"! Unbelievable. How do I get them to stop?

This person called and was extremely rude and defensive, so I hung up on him.  Justin, at 877-260-6799, with the department of education.  Yes, Justin.  He called back, and left the most AMAZING voicemail - asking for "a male to call back, as I won't be able to distinguish if it is the same female calling me back."  Priceless.  I only wish this were a real company, so I could report his rude self to his boss.

This doesn't work for businesses that have a range of 300 numbers and they keep calling down the list hoping to get a fax machine from their fax machine. Instead they end up at our receptionist with fax tones in her ear.That's what is happening to us. I called a number, found on one of the faxes, and got hold of some representative who asked for ONE number to removed from their list. When I told her we had a range 300 numbers she sad she would submit the list. I asked her when the calls would stop (3different ways) and she said she is 'submitting the list now' 3 times. I hate people who give stupid answers. I gave her my call back number but never expect to hear back. I'm turning it over to our legal dept in case our receptionist get hearing damage from all the fax tones in her ear. Pretty sure 'war dialing' in against the law.

btw this is all a dialing campaign for NY Industrial Roofing in port jefferson, NY (Long Island). I guess they are trying to drum up business after hurricane Irene.

I called the number back and it is "BRI" a marketing group that makes customer service calls/surveys on behalf of their clients (i.e. Banks, Cell phone companies). If you listen to the whole message it allows you to enter your number into there "DO NOT CALL" list.

They keep calling....I thought we were on a Do Not Call registry...I will try and see if they can be blocked

This number called me two times a day for the past 5 weeks. After I saw you guys' post i called the number and you get an automated message, continue listening and they give you an option to be completely removed from the calling list. So hopefully once that request has been processed i won't have to deal with the calls anymore.

Yes it is BRI and they are a telemarketer for TDVISA. They want to offer a program on your visa called Credit Expert...just sales people. Unfortunatly in this day and age we are at the mercy of telemarketers. I phoned TD VISA and told them I want my info to NOT be given to third parties and they sent me a form that I filled out and gave back to them...no more BRI calls now ;D

It wasn't an automated message when I picked up. Some person saying "hello? hello?" over and over again, as if they couldn't hear me.

bloody tele marketing or survey people from this number have called my # 2/day for 2 weeks and almost 60 times since september, how do I know? I was away and my phone log indicated this heavy volume, glad to know i can block them, hope it works....really steamed on the praries.....

Thanks for your posts, this number has being calling my home number for the last week or so at least 3 times a day, and they don't leave a message. As posted before, I called back the number and listened to the whole recording to press option 1 to be added to their do not call list and it said it may take up to 72 hours to be removed, so hopefully that will take care of it.

Just got a call from this number and they said they were representing a copy called "Credit Alert"   Wanted me to try it free for 30 days, and after that,they would start billing my credit card something like $17 a month.  I kept trying to tell her I wasn't interested, but she kept on.  Finally she gave up and said goodbye.  Did she get my number through one of the companies I deal with?  She asked for me by name, and my number in the phone book is only listed as "D"

I've been getting calls from this telephone number a lot everyday. Today I googled the telephone number and I found this helpful list. I read all the comments and picked the best one for me. Then I called them back, pushed 1, then entered my telephone number with the area code followed by the # sign and waited for 2 seconds. Then an automated recording said that my number will be added to their no-call list after 72 hours. Also, it said that you may get called again as it takes 3 days for them to get my message to take my number off their call list. Thanks again everyone for your comments.

They call me anwhere from 2 to 5 times per day. I haven't picked it up. I've now heard mixed things about what happens if you do... a person, a recorded message, nothing.
people say to call back, listen to the message and press 1 to be put on their do not call list. This makes me very suspicious.
There are a lot of scams out there these days. How do I know that pressing option 1 isn't going to allow people to make long distance calls against my number or something.
I need a call blocker app for my BB and just block them from calling me. I am sick of it.
BTW... I checked another reverse number lookup and it said it belonged to a company called "Allstream". I don't believe it's TD Visa, certainly not just them. I don't even have a TD Visa.
I believe it's a scam. I mean, who in their right mind would do business with any compnay that harrasses them like this? It doesn't make any business sense. TD would lose all their customers.

So annoying, I get at least 2 calls a day now. Have picked up twice and hear a crackly "hello" and it just hangs up. They call all hours of the morning/day/night. Not answering anymore and trying the tip on contacting my phone provider. 1-877-260-8744

I am tired of getting calls from this number and I dont answer the phone - let it go to message machine but they never leave a message - Lik others it says its from the No Call List - so why do they have to call me a dozen times a day - cant they get the hint when I dont answer the phone and since when did the no call list call people to list numbers I thought that it was a voluntary thing if people wanted thier name on the list

Get several of these calls daily, so annoying.  No one ever answers but I can sometimes hear voices.  Also tried getting on the do not call list but get more calls now!!!!!!!  How do we stop this harassment? I don't want to change my number but might have to.
