Who is MCW? at this # 877-274-1450, can you give the full name I want to send them a certified letter. thanks
Dedbeets 2011-06-06 21:04:11 Unknown
It's NCW which stands for National Credit Works. When you take a loan, you are required to pay it back. Crazy world.
Selero 2011-06-06 21:04:11 Unknown
I have gotten the same phone calls repeatedly. I did not take out a loan, write a fraudulent check or any of the other alleged charges I am getting phone calls about. I have no idea where these people got all of my information. None of their claims show up on my credit report and none of the civil claims they have threatened to file in the past have been filed. They are scam artists. Do not confirm any of your personal information.
And thanks retard for wasting your time making fun of people who have legitimate questions. Way to go!

I got a call from this number on my cell phone telling me to have my attorney call them it was a legal matter and they are calling my cell phone. Who is this?
Dedbeets 2011-06-06 21:04:11 Unknown
When a bill comes in the mail, send payment. Then you will stay out of collections.
Dan 2011-06-06 21:04:11 Unknown
They do not mess around with court filings. If you owe them money, settle with them. You'll be happy you did. Once you're on a payment plan with NCW, they'll treat you like gold.
Don't owe, won't pay 2011-06-06 21:04:11 Unknown
So, Dan, give me your address. I will send you a bill. Then you can pay me. I could use the money.
I PAY all bills that are MINE. I have NEVER had a bad debt. So, if you call me and tell me that I have a bad debt, I can just laugh you off.
That's how people should respond who know they don't owe these scam scums.
Susan 2011-06-06 21:04:11 Unknown
Dan works for them.
troll 2011-06-06 21:04:11 Unknown
correct, you are bound by that agreement with the original creditor, but not 3rd party debt collectors.
troll 2011-06-06 21:04:11 Unknown
no way, is that how it works.
Ms. Martin 2011-06-06 21:04:11 Unknown
NCW is first party you loser!!!!!! They own the debt!!! So yes they can take you to court, perhaps some studying is in order for you
Curious 2011-06-06 21:04:11 Unknown
So is this 877.274.1450 # a scam or not? I've had others do this that actually turned out to be scams.

Just because my name is John Doe and your name is Jane Doe does not mean I know you or where you live, what you eat, and who you do. So when I say she doesn’t live here and never has and I have no way to contact her. You send me to another department to have my number removed but it don’t stop I continue to get these phone calls. So please STOP CALLING ME.

I keep getting messages for someone that I don't know from this number. They keep leaving messages for a man I don't know. It's quite annoying. I don't know whether or not to call them back to tell them...because it may also be a scam.

This bozo who called himself Mr Keyes not Mr Rice (my mistake) called again yesterday and harrassed my wife some more. Anyone who would harrass somebody's mother over a debt should be drawn and quartered. Anyway, my wife called to see about getting our number changed and the phone company said it would cost 40 bucks. They suggested we try *77 which blocks unknown numbers. This is the way the call came in. We got the call back number from him the first time he harrassed my wife. Anyway, it seems to be effective, as he has not called since.

This company called looking for my son who has not lived here for nine years. He told his mother all about the "debt", a violation of the Fair Credit Collecitons Act. I worked for a collection agency for three years and know better. He also told my wife that he had a summons and even gave her a docket number. He told her that our son could go to jail. As stated in a previous post, third party collectors cannot sue, only the first party. He had my wife in tears, obviously trying to get her to pay. He gave the above toll free as a call back number. I called it and got a recording saying I had reached NCW and enter the extension, which I did. A guy named Mr Rice gave me the same bs that he gave my wife. I told him collection agencies were not allowed to divulge this type of info. He said he was not a collection agent and worked for a lawyer, but would not identify him. I chewed on him some more and told him never to call my number again. Time will tell.
truthsayer 2011-01-26 19:57:13 Unknown
Of course your attorney did tell you that third party debt collectors CANNOT sue and that only the original creditor is eligible. Your signed agreement was with the creditors not the collectors...

PLEASE, do your research before you interact with anyone associated with this outfit!
my favorite site is budhibbs.com
First of all NCW is breaking every debt collection law there is, you (even if in debt) have rights. DO YOUR RESEARCH! Second, they are not accredited or bonded and currently have an "F" rating with the BBB. Third, they are being investigated by the NY and FL AG, there may be others investigating them that I am not aware of.
REPORT THEIR ABUSE TO YOUR STATES AG!
Don't fall prey to these criminals and yes they are CRIMINALS from theft, fraud, illegal drug sales and money laundering. To name a few...
I see some of the "collectors" have made their presence on this thread. F.Y.I. Respectable companies do not project themselves in this manner.
Tired of this 2010-12-14 18:03:42 Debt Collector
These people called my daughter, then started calling me at home...then somehow they got my cell phone number.
I called them back several times before they finally called me. I had already checked up on them and I knew what was coming.
They had my name, someone else's social security number AND birthdate.
We never got to the part about what bad debt I had.
I hope they call me back next month. Would love to get their address!
John 2010-12-14 00:00:27 Unknown
Good company to work with if you're willing to pay your debt back. Found out the hard way that they will take you to court. My attorney saved my life. Don't let it go that far.
Dedbeets 2010-12-09 01:22:02 Unknown
Or, you could all put that same effort into paying your bills in the first place. Losers.

So I just got a call from this number and they are saying my loan was not pd. The loan was pd in full i have faxed bank statements and other documents to prove i have pd it and they are telling me they have no record of it. I'm getting really annoyed and very tired of the harassing phone calls and messages.
