I gave the info to michigan state police. Said they will look into it. Cops said it might be setting us up by finding out who has chase accts. then future contact asking for acct. info. Beware brothers and sisters.

Received a text from 0881@tmomail.net saying Service: Card locked...Call 877-278-3114...Received text after 10:00pm on 11/11/2009
Brenda 2009-11-12 15:09:13 Unknown
Got the same text and I'm also a T-Mobile user. Will ignore it, or better yet, we should call the number and give them phony names, account numbers, pin numbers! If enough people do that, it may teach them a lesson! LOL!

Sorry for the two extra posts. Didn't know they had gone through

Got two messages from this number. Spoke to t-mobile who called the number and confirmed it is a fraud. Let t-mobile know if you receive this message.

Got the same message on one of my 2 cell phones. Just said card frozen and to call that number - didn't name a bank. Also with T-Mobile. In my experience, any bank would just verify the last 4 digits of the card and ssn. Funny thing is that cell that I received it on is not the phone number used on any of my personal accounts. Also have been getting a lot of suspicious telemarketing calls on the same number in the last few days.

I just got this, as did my husband -- at the same time no less. We don't bank with Chase (never have, never will) -- I guess I will be contacting Tmobile in the morning. I hate spam texts!!!
Yasmena 2009-11-12 03:18:07 Unknown
I just got one of these texts, too, and I thought it was because I owed Tmobile money. I went to the Tmobile website/my online account, and my bill isn't even due until the 19th. I just texted these people back with "WTF are you talking about." Wonder if I'll get a response...haha I hate spam and scams!

I received two of these texts. The first one I ignored, the second brought me here because I googled the phone number. I'm calling T-mobile in the morning. This is obviously a scam.

Yup, T-Mobile user-and Prepaid refill cards, no less. This is the 2nd message I've gotten like that, but the first one lists a different number, and the info is really sketchy (8544@tmomail.net Info: Co-Op-Service: Card-Frozen. Cal:877-278-3114).

Yeah I just got a txt sayin my card is frozen, plz, yeah right, I DON'T EVEN BANK WITH CHASE! Plus it was a "txt" and from a weird *tmomail.net* sender........ lol yeah......ok.....I'm always leery anyway because these days fraud is as popular as breathing oxygen it seems!! Don't respond, if its legit u will get a call and/or mail NOT A TEXT!!! Or u will find out when u try to use ur card and it doesn't work..... BUT, if ur a worry wart, just call ur card co directly during biz hrs..... trust me, its worth it... because if u fall for this scam u will have more to worry about than u ever barganed for. ;-)

Anne 2009-11-12 02:42:15 Unknown
I wonder if someone broke in to T-Mobile's database and is now spamming the hell out of us all! I'm going to message T-mobile now...
Belle 2009-11-12 02:39:44 Unknown
Yes T-Mobile.
belle 2009-11-12 02:37:34 Unknown
Oh, I hope you didn't give them the info!
Anne 2009-11-12 02:37:16 Unknown
Ok, my brother just got one, too. Are we all T-Mobile users?
Belle 2009-11-12 02:35:31 Unknown
I just got a text message saying my card is frozen and to call 877-278-3114. After reading the previous post I think I'll just call my card company instead...
Anne 2009-11-12 02:34:05 Unknown
Similar experience, saying card is frozen and to call this number. Obviously a SCAM! They also texted my mom's phone 8 times in one hour last night.

Said debit card was deactivated and to immediately report to Chase at the following number: 877-278-3114. It said 3 easy steps to reactivating my card in minutes; 1.Enter your 16 digit card number... verified 2. ender you 4 digit exp. date, now 3. enter your PIN now.
Thank You, reactivation process complete, goodbye...
I'm really suspecious....
