constant phone calls and calls to my employer. threats to come to my work place. when i call back the call will not go through and when i call the 877 number i get an answering machine. yesterday i got 7 calls in 3 minutes!!
name of woman calling is athena andrews. no company name given

a woman calld Athena keeps calling me and leaving nasty messages about papers being filed against me. She has also called my employer twice and said that if I called the 877 nmber he would not come to my place of employment. I called the number and got a recording called Nationwide and west coast hours. I am in EST so I was unable to talk to them. yesterday she left me a message that I was on her rute for today but no one ever came. when I tried to call her number directly it would not go through. I am going to file harrassment charges I think. If they continue to call my work I may lose my job!

julie evans called my employer and spoke to my boss telling all these derogatory threats what can i do?  Help

Got a call also they were trying to get info from my job and said they wanted permission from my job to come and serve me with a warrant, same phone same last name of person calling.

I was getting calls from 770-871-0619 using the police threat. They were not looking for me, but a relative. I found their phone call was from a bill collector in Charlotte, NC. I also found out they had called  the relative's place of work--told his boss,  "the police are coming for him", threat. I reported them to the Better Business Bureau in Charlotte, NC and they agreed to stop the calls. The Better Business Bureau ( bbb) has a web page and you can file your complaint with them online. Wouldn't hurt to try it that way. They denied the police threats ( of course they would because that is not legal). If enough of you would file complaints about them to the BBB, they might loose their business license.

Lady called saying she was from the State of ME District Attorneys Office saying they have a case against me for fraudulent checks... well I dont have a checking acct. per se so I have no idea where or how they got my name & number except thru a payday loan. She called twice within 5 mins. of each call. As I have had 2 calls from scam a***oles about a month ago. My wife told them I died and to go to hell and that she knew they were scammers. ALWAYS  LOOK UP TO SEE IF ITS A SCAM BEFORE YOU PAY THEM ANYTHING. Because if you do they will keep trying to get money from you. NEVER give them money.

I got this call 3 or 4 times in the last 6 months. They threaten to send the police that never come. But there was a lady that called today she was very rude with threats and yelling on my answering machine. I called the number back I told them it wasn't me. He threatened me with being arrested so I agreed to pay so they would stop. Can I still file a complaint?

First ... Go on to the fdcpa website and file a harassing complaint. They are BY law not allow to threaten u with arrest/harm/police etc....unless they are planning on following through and that would be an extra expense to them.  Most creditors do not sue under 3k.Debtors prison is long gone so scratch that. Call them back and advise them u would like a validation of ur current debt and original creditor. Payday loans are minimal and would require civil court.And depending on ur state u will get those notices by mail.  I'm not going to say these ppl are fake but they break every law when trying to collect a debt. So if u do have a valid debt u can def. report them for violations. Their office would be fined and they would pay off ur debt. You walk away with 1k in damages sometimes. $500.00 may come from that pleasant person u speak to on the phone if they are not terminated by HR first.

THEY JUST CALLED ME AND SAID THEY WERE GOING TO SEND LAW ENFORCEMENT TO MY JOB SOMETHING ABOUT A PAYDAY LOAN. I TOLD THEM I DONT HAVE A LOAN BUT SHE WAS VERY NASTY AND I HUNG UP ON HER. HOPEFULLY THE POLICE ARE NOT COMING TO MY JOB.

I second that CoCo @ first I thought I was the only one getting these annoying calls but like you I figured this has got to be a scam cause they don't stay on the phone with you for any long period of time... Like if they r being traced or something & when I refuse to give my information they get their panties all bunched up and get an attitude like if they are on their period....

received a call from this unknown number, male left a message to call back 877 280 2450 with a case number, said i would be summoned by him or law enforcement if i failed to call back within two hours..something about fraud check charges!!! this has got to be a scam

SOMEONE KEEPS CALLING MY PHONE FOR SOMEONE ELSE THREATNING ABOUT A COURT SUMMONS ABOUT CHECK, BUT I HAVE TOLD THEM TIME AND TIME AGAIN THAT I AM THE WRONG NUMBER FOR THE PERSON THAT THEY ARE LOOKING FOR. SOMEONE HAS USED MY NUMBER AND ADDRESS. AND IT'S ALWAYS THE SAME MAN WITH A DIFFERENT NAME, THE SAME VOICE AND I HAVE RECORDED HIM BECAUSE HE ALWAYS GETS SMART WITH ME. THEN HE'S SAYING HE'S A SHERIFF, THEN A REPRESENATIVE, AND OTHER POSITIONS.....

i need to know who is the caller.
