This so-called company, Cardholder Services, has called me numerous times over the last few weeks.  Very annoying.  This don't want to stop.

Perhaps a courtroom is where this will end up...

12-1-11 I have gotten at least 20 from various #s the last from 208-610-0771 Dearborn MI. Whenever you quiz them they just hang up. This is a scam outfit that moves its call centers frequently and i don't know what kind of a guy Mark Burton is but lieing Scum-Bag Slime ball comes to mind! If you want to write him, 21955 Cypress Drive #48-f, Boca Raton FL 33433 is his address, but cc the attorney general from your states consumer protection division when you do because this outfit is under investigation nation wide.

I have received several calls from companies claiming they were calling me to help me lower my interest rates with credit card companies.  But when I ask card they are calling about or how they obtained my information, the people hang up.  When you ask intelligent questions they get flustered, hang up and when you attempt to call the number back it hangs up on you or is busy.

I am sick of receiving these calls on my cell phone and next time will begin telling someone off and asking questions later(its annoying)

I just called the 866-969-4236 number for American Debt Negotiators. Visited with Anne the supervisor. She indicated that the Card Holder Services are not associated with their business and that the Attorney General in FL has been contacted on their behalf to stop the associated perceived connection. From what I have read, I don't believe her.

The call from Card Holder Services today came out of OR (503), I called back and received the typical "press 1" to discontinue receiving calls garbage, it doesn't work.

Perhaps we all need to contact our US Legislators and apply pressure until they get the point we want these calls to stop. Look up your Representative's numbers at http://www.usa.gov/Contact/Elected.shtml

This message starts before the recording machine starts recording it.
They call about once a week with their message.
They claim that we qualify for something with the stimulus package, but the "time is running out"
and we should press 1 on the phone to participate or find out more - my answering machine does not have NUMBERS on it -

I tried to call the number that was recorded in my answering machine back - to tell them to TAKE ME OFF THEIR LIST - I DON'T WANT ANY MORE CALLS FROM THEM - but it's a non-working number - they probably have a dummy number where their calls are forwarded through

their number 877.298.8855

These calls are coming weekly or two times a week. Last night was 3:00 A,M.!!!!! The message says, "This is your last chance to reduce your credit card rate during this stimulus.  Push Option 1 now."

I do not have caller ID.  The company name is never mentioned.  I would love to find out who it is and "send them my own message!"

Wow, I've been receiving same messages. Skeptical, so I thought I would check online, and found this site. I really should have known better, but I guess when you feel a little desperate, you just want to believe. Thank God people like everyone here speak up and post these things, to snap me out of it. I would have been kicking myself if I got tricked into giving out my info, or money that I can't afford. I've been getting the exact same message, but from all different numbers now. These are a few... 800-847-2911, 1-321-304-9999, 642-119-4102.

This is a scam operation calling itself "Debt-Free Lifestyle Today."

A recording from "cardholder services" threatens that this will be the final notice (if only!); sometimes it's a man, other times a woman, always with a different name.

Press 1 to speak with a person.

(If you get disconnected, you can call these losers back at 310-568-6007 or 877-282-3707; they have also called me from a variety of area code 406 numbers.)

No matter how many times you deal with them, you'll probably speak with somebody different, always an American-sounding name but a foreign-sounding accent.  I've talked with Janie, Roger, Vivian, Jason, Henry, Ivan, among others.  If you push hard enough, you'll discover that the supervisors have last names - like Phillip Reed, Dexter Young, and Nathan Howard.  (Mr. Howard claims to be the top man; he has no boss, he says.)  It's kind of fun getting through to the actual managers, since most are fictional (like "Mrs. Promin") and spend their entire days in a meeting and can never come to the phone!

The first-line guys think the "company" is based in Boca Raton, FL, but the managers claim it's in Inglewood, CA.  One thing is for sure:  NOBODY will give you an actual mailing address.

They call 2-3 times a day, despite my being on the Do Not Call list and after numerous requests for them to cease and desist calling me.  I've gotten this far in the game.  How can I sue them without knowing their address?  Help!

A guy called me with a very thick accent and said that his name is Phillip Reed. sound like an Indian. said can lower down my interest rate. I said OK tell me more about it, he explained the program I thought he might help. so I said OK send me something in writing. than he started asking me to provide him my social security number and my bank account number. When I said no send me something in writing, he became very rude and harsh to me and threaten me that he will misuse my identity. That F***in Bastard harassed me that he need my Routing and account number right now. I hung up. again the bastard called me and told me that he already have my bank routing number and i shall provide him my account number, which I did as I was scared. Then he forced me to say yes or correct to a lot of questions when I tried to stop him he said do not interrupt me during the recording I will misuse your information. I got real scared now and said what that f***in bastard required. I haven't received any thing in the mail and my account was debited. when I called to check no body answers to me and hang up on me. O lord save us from these blood sucking f***in vampires

I work in a hospital and got a call on my direct line wanting to know if I wanted to consolidate my credit cards for the low interest of 6.99%.  I asked if they were random calling and they said they were trying to reach a Usi Garcia.  I believe this is a scam.  I spoke to both Mark and Ivan.

talked to a Peter Laz at ext 4146 at the above number and it sounds legit until he says let me transfer you to be recorded verbally to make a verbal contract so we can mail you the documents for you to sign. He said I had 7 days to review it from today but it takes 2-3 or 4 days to get it in the mail!...Then you have to call back with in seven days from the verbal contract to cancel and you have to talk to him to cancel, but will you actually get through to him? Lets see. Cause the number my phone said he was calling from was a different number he said to call him back on. crazy right?-702-520-9116.

Same person(s) on writing the success stories.

Automated recording from 'Annie' stating that the federal reserve has lowered interest rates as a stimulus to the economy and that my credit card (doesn't say which) interest rate can be lowered to 4.9%.  Urges to call before the offer ends and that I should consider the message as a 'final notice' and to call 877-282-3707.  Caller ID reports inbound number as 562-288-7178 "Private Suite"

Called my cell phone, gave me a prompt saying I could lower my interest rate. I pressed 1 figuring why not, but it turns out you have to have like 3,000 in debt to qualify. It sounds like a scam and that they're just cold calling people- even cell phones and numbers that are on the 'do not call' list. I wouldn't trust a company like that with personal information, much less with financial decisions.

After they called once said I didn't qualify, they have called AGAIN since then! ANNOYING!

Yeah I just got a call from these guys on my WORK phone.. Something is not right. Same automated message with "annie" calling about the Fed lowering it's rates.. gave the same 877 number for callback but had a 402-xxx-xxxx number, like JS in Washington didn't get a chance to write it down and my phone doesn't save caller ID at work. Seems like a scam (may be legit business but these credit companies usually do more damage than good to your credit).

I will say I believe they got my number from Capital One as they are the only business with my direct work line on file.
