A lady named Kim Taylor called and said she was with the local county sheriff's " Summons Division", and that deputies were coming for one of my fellow employees. The county I live in does NOT have a Summons Div within the Sheriffs office!! The number she left was 855-323-8979. She threatened me with legal action if I did not help her.

So I recieved a call from a man claiming to be from a company named CRA. The gentlemen said his name is Maurice Parker. I have never heard of this company so I looked it up and found this blog. I'm glad I did! He gave me an 888 number for my friend to call about some situation they have with her. So I'm going to update the list because the number they gave me isnt on here. I got this same call. I have added the numbers he left and the number he called from. A Mr. Parker. but left no other info. I dont even have a credit card or and credit for that matter. how the heck did they get my info?

They called my home phone too about an hour ago.  They claim having a lawsuit against me, but then they provide no information and they don't seem to know what the matter is about.  It was a Mr. Lange or Lange that called.  They seem to be a new number for CR Associates out of Texas.  They call relatives, and then they try to call you.  That company is known as involved in drug deals, scamming, etc.  There is an even a blurb for them in a website on how to scam people.

I just got a call from them right now and literally got into it with these people big time. They threatened me with a lawsuit and a judge. I told them that I was recording the conversation and they said that they have software to detect if someone is recording the call and that I was not. A Mr. Miller yelled at me and even made comments about now that Obama was president that things would be tougher on me. We got into a screaming match then he told me the judge would deal with me harshly because of my profanity and hung up on me! I called the number back and a man named Maurice answered and wouldn't give me any info on what CRA stood for. I let him know that I looked up CRA and know that they have a class action law suit against them in Pennsylvania and he claimed that they are not the same company (Capital Recovery Associates) that I looked up. All he would tell me was that CRA stood for the names of the partners but when asked would not tell me the names of the partners. I told him that it sounded like they were involved in fraudulent business if they couldn't give me any more info. I was also told that the government was investigating me for fraud.

This man Maurice had ALL of my credit info including past & present debt, ss#, employers and residences.

I was told that the IRS would be after me, that they were involved with the government and that they were pursuing a lawsuit.

These people are absolutely pysho.  They called a distant relative seeking information about me.  When I called back they starting screaming at me and making threats to me, then hung up.  When I called back, they accused of me being mean, and then hung up on me again.

They just called asked me to contact asap "it is a time sensitive matter dealing with filing 732517" yeah right, Mr. Lang. The number was 877 284 6622 but the caller id was 702 946 0389 these people are just wrong!

I just got this call asking for a relative - I gave them another work number with no additional comments. Spoke to a guy named Dirk Miller. This is dangerous - they have way too much information.

OMG!!! It happened to me too.  They know which city I'm calling from and said they're in the same city!  1st time they call about a week ago something about court, etc... Got a call today.  A very rude offensive man named Tony proceeded to tell my husband of five years that this is an issue that has been going on for years and that I refuse to take care of it.  He than would not tell my husband what the issues was.  He was very, very rude.  My husband hung up on him and he called back stating the he would take our house.

I got a call today and they used my maiden name and told my husband they will take our house. He then hung up and was very rude said he was with CRA.  I have no idea who these people are.  He also told my husband that this issue has been going on for awhile. Would not elaborate on what he was talking about.

Demanding I return this call. Urgent tone of voice. Very rude and hung up.
