Thank you relief for the information.  I havent responded to any of the calls.   They keep leaving messages... In the past I have responded to call and they refuse to give me the inforamation on whom they are or what it was about.  This is why I think they are just phishing for info.  And when I didnt give them the info  they got nasty and threatening.  I have spoke with an attorney' office regards to fair debt law and they sent me a link to the fair debt law.   They are sooooooo breaking it.   I just dont want them to show up at my employment.

If you think that a caller may be a fake debt collector:
Ask the caller for his name, company, street address, and telephone number. Tell the caller that you refuse to discuss any debt until you get a written "validation notice." The notice must include the amount of the debt, the name of the creditor you owe, and your rights under the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
If a caller refuses to give you all of this information, do not pay! Paying a fake debt collector will not always make them go away. They may make up another debt to try to get more money from you.
Stop speaking with the caller. If you have the caller's address, send a letter demanding that the caller stop contacting you, and keep a copy for your files. By law, real debt collectors must stop calling you if you ask them to in writing.
Do not give the caller personal financial or other sensitive information. Never give out or confirm personal financial or other sensitive information like your bank account, credit card, or Social Security number unless you know whom you're dealing with. Scam artists, like fake debt collectors, can use your information to commit identity theft ? charging your existing credit cards, opening new credit card, checking, or savings accounts, writing fraudulent checks, or taking out loans in your name. There is this service called Consumer Credit Helpers that I have been reading about that have been helping a lot of people. Maybe contact them and see if they can help. I think there phone number is 855-672-1988

I too  received a call today stating he received paperwork in "his office" and that he was giving me notice that I was being put on his schedule for service on October 3rd  at my home and place of employment..  He provided me with the number 877-300-1438 and a claims number and said unless he hears differently I will be served.

First off process servers dont call you and for warn you that they are going ot serve you papers!  What idiots they are.   This is the 3rd call in the last 6 months.  It seems whom ever is making this calls, call every 2 months.   They never leave a name or  the name of the company that hired them to serve papers. or to whom  we need to contact, just the number  and a claim number.   Its a major scam.  It wouldnt suprise me if they are connected with the pay day loans you can get online.  Check with your states attorney,  you maybe suprised that there are several complaints and a pending law suit.

I received a call today stating he received paperwork in "his office" and that he was giving me notice that I was being put on his schedule for service on September 28 at my home and place of employment..  He provided me with the number 877-300-1438 and a claims number and said unless he hears differently I will be served.  Well like one of the posters above, All types of serving is done by the Sheriff's department.  This is a TOTAL scam!  I saved the message and if I receive more I will report it!
Be Aware!

Alright J,S,KK the are a collection agency trying to collect on your out standing debt. Lets be truthful alphabet Gang. We all owe $$$. I had many payday loans out there that I honestly could not pay back...I wanted to but couldn't. Within a year I started getting all kinds of weird calls like you have been receiving. I filled complaints to my local PD, reported them to the BBB, FTC FDCPA AND CCH. Nothing ever happened until i called CCH consumer credit helpers. you can STOP the collection calls with one call. DONT PUT UP WITH IT!!!

I continue getting calls from this number as well. They have called many other extensions within my office as well and left messages about intent to serve and appearing at my place of employment and home.  It's quite frustrating because when you call the number they provide,  they want YOU to give them your information and don't provide anything in return. DON'T GIVE THEM YOUR INFO...THEY PROBABLY DON'T HAVE IT TO BEGIN WITH!!!!  I've reported this number to the federal trade commission, BBB, FBI and local media. I believe it's a scam trying to get unsuspecting people to think they owe something to avoid prosecution and con payments.  This is totally against the collections best practices, fraud, and privacy violations. Don't ever give out your information. Tell the caller that if this is legit then they should already have your mailing address and should send you something in writing.

Got a call from this number stating they would be delivering a notice of intent on 8/31 unless I called back 1-877-300-1438.  I called back earlier in week and got no answer.  I called the number today because I received another call and the number was rerouted and the person answering phone refused to give me company information.  I simply asked for the company name and she hung up on me.  I would like to know who and what this is for.

Debt Collector
I also received a call at my place of employment (which came up private on our caller id) from a woman saying she will be at my job or home tomorrow to serve me between the hours of 12:30pm and 5:00pm. When I called (the phone rang funny as if it was routed) her back she answered the phone "Claims Department".  I said I didn't catch her name and she says Ashley Parker.  I asked the name of her business and she asked me if I had a claims number.  I ignored her and asked for her business name again.  She hung up.  I am not a fool nor will I be fooled.  If anyone is collecting from you, they must give you the info such as business name, address, etc.  Furthermore, in NC we don't have process servers....the Sheriff's department does that. Don't be fooled by these people who try to bully you out of your money. I've been scammed like that before.

Collection agency posing as a law office.

I dont owe anything so I am ignoring the calls now and I reported to my local police department and attorney.  When I answered she says "she is not with the company but working for another company to assist the first company that wants to collect from you" ??, I then tell her I dont owe anything and to never call me again. She will not state who it is, who she works for, what her direct number is, when I asked for her name, title, number and the company she worked for, she became irrate and hung up. I would love to know who the (she) original caller is before receiving the 877-300-1438 (I have all of their information).  She states she is going to serve and all she serves is a bunch of empty threats.

I would love to know who she is her address, direct phone number and company she works for, so I can relay this information to my attorney and police department HAVE THEM SERVED WITH REAL PAPERS AND SEE THEM IN A REAL COURT!
