Just received same message from Atlanta number.

Most of the time when you fill out an on line "survey" and you are asked to put your cell number in is how they get your number.  Add numbers like these to your "blocked" list in your cell phone.

Everything all the poeple here are saying is true.  I got all the way to the end because I knew there was going to be a catch because Mr. Tony Davis (obvious psyudonym and speaking from an obviuosly overseas call center) tole me that all I had to do was "pay was the $1 handling fee".  I immediately replied "I'm not giving you my credit card number under any circumstances!"  CLICK.....what does this spell people SCAM! There is no such thing as a FREE anything under circumstances like this.  Never ever give your credit card number over the phone!  If it sounds too good to be true it is.  Block these types of numbers if you can and report them to your carrier.

Where can I report these kind of calls and/or text?  And who is giving out people's phone #s to these scammers?

I got this call and the person asked me to provide a credit card number that they could bill my shipping charge to.  I then said you can mail a gift card in the standard mail for less than fifty cents.  They then said the gift card had to be shipped FedEx and that costs more.  At that point I asked for an address that I can mail the shipping fee to and the operator hung up on me.  I also got a text message on my phone saying I won.

I received the same text ...for the 100.00 gift car.....Scam... In Georgia....so I followed the number to here....Beware...

Just got the same text. The text was received from 1 209-217-2069

Recceived the same text in Charleston, SC: ID # 27.  Sounds like we have a support group here.

Also using the number 850-960-0295.  Got the same text

This same scam artist is now using text messaging... it is as follows:

And I was looking forward to shopping.....

All of the above is true and my Gift Card ID was 200.  They hung up on me twice and on the third time I gave them a bogus name and then I read the posts from here to her.  I then asked if she too was going to hang up too and I heard CLICK....lol.  So here's the catch; how do we shut down mongrols like this?  I may spend the rest of my day calling, listening, and then hang up because at least I can keep them occuppied and spare somebody the expense and they get charged for the 800 call. Be well one and all...if it's too good to be true, well, you know the old saying.  The only thing you can get for FREE is advice but then again, people charge for that too!

I just got the same message.  I replied Stop.  I'm sure its a scam if they won't indicate who they are.

I received a txt message from 607-232-3420 stating "we have a 100 Dollar gift Card for you"  please call 877-300-7580 Gift ID 45

I just received a call from cell phone 601-699-0780 (Mississippi) that stated I just a $100 gift card as "Thank You for your visit" and that I should call 877-300-7580.  Definitely a scam.  I just reported both telephone numbers to my cell phone carrier.

Their was a message sent to my husband's cell to call this number because he had won a $100 gift card. It was sent by the cell phone # 1-469-226-9137. The cell phone # comes from Texas and it states he won it because it was a Thank-you for visiting them. This is a scam.
