Received a text about my JP Morgan Chase account (which I don't have). Defiantly a scam.

I received a text message from JP Morgan Chase: "please call 1.877.311.6607 immediately about recent activity on your account."
Feel strange to google this number and known all about it!!!

I received the same text message telling me to call immediately about recent activity on my account.......I don't have a Chase account.  Seems like this hit everyone around the same time this evening, quite odd.

I checked my account online, and I did not find any suspicious translations. I believed this message is a SCAM.

My husband just got one of these too.  When I tried to call the number it would not go through.  I would not have given personal information either.

My son received this as well.  Glad I googled!

I received one today  at 6:45 pm. I don't have a Chase account, so it's not only for Chase bankers.

My wife got this text also.... she almost called the number with her pin. Always, always google strange numbers!

I also received a txt msg from "3586" with the msg "JPM_EFS@myaccount.chase.com/ Message from JP Morgan Chase. Please call 1.877.311.6607 immediately about recent activity on your account. Thank you. /"

I checked my account and there were "no new messages" so I knew there was something fishy about that number.

I have personal and business Chase cards and regularly get SMSs from them so thought it was genuine.... glad I googled here first.

I got an email from 3850 telling me to call this 877-311-6607 number on my work blackberry which is not even the email address on my chase account.  I immediately knew it was a scam and did a search and found this site with other complaints about the number.

I called it for grins to see if I could get some information to give to my local DA and it has a funny automated greeting (computerized voice) asking for your account number.  I entered all 6's and it told me it was an invalid number but no one human would come on the line.

The email gave an email address of JPM_EFS@myaccount.chase.com.  If you go to www.myaccount.chase.com the web page looks like a legitimate Chase website.  The message asked me to call the 877 so I am not sure they would expect anyone to go to the website.  I did not try to see where a "reply" to the email would go.


This is most definitely a scam be careful.

got a text message syaing that there is definitely a problem with recent activity on my account and said to call 1-877-311-6607 of go to JPM_EFS@myaccount.chase.com.  Gotta be kidding me.  Our bank account is just fine.  So you scammers can shove it up your a__!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yep, Just got the same text message... SCAM... Scammers SUCK basket BALLS, base BALLS, soccer BALLS!!!!! etc.

Got email saying to call Chase, my bank.  So I called it assuming honesty from everyone, then voice message wants my credit card number to unlock my account.  WTF???  My account is perfectly fine, WTF?  

Then I google the phone and got here.  Whew, don't give out your personal info.  Go directly to your bank's branch if you have any problems.

I recieved a text message telling me to call this number. I called and it told me that my account was restricted as well. It asked for my number and I almost gave it out.
