This number has been on the "Do Not Call" list for almost a year now but still receive sales calls.  This is one of many.  The line they called is in my home but is used strictly for business purposes.

Caller did not immediately pick up. When he did, he said he was Marcus from Direct Source. According to Marcus, they have records showing that my mortgage interest rate is over 3%. Amazing as I don't have a mortgage. I refused to answer any of his questions, informed him that I wanted to be put on their do not call list (he snickered when I said that) and I hung up over his arguments that he could save me money on my mortgage.

I answer and don't say anything.  If there is noise in my room, I cover the mouthpiece.  There is always a half second to cover it while the call is transferred to the operator.  I then listen to the conversations they have with their co-workers and any background noises.  Then they say "hello" a couple of times and hang up.  Though I had one guy that evidently was waiting for the line to connect 'cause he waited forever.  I then whispered "I'm wasting your time."  He cussed and hung up.  Sometimes it can be very entertaining.....I'm bored.

NO!  If you pick it up, you confirm that it's a "live" number.  Just don't answer.

We've stopp answering these calls after telling caller to stop calling.  Being on the Do Not Call List doesn't seem to help.

Called 5 times in one day. Told him to take me off list and he said your not understand me. I said no your not understanding me take us off your list. He laughed and hung up!!! Grr. I'm tempted to call him FIVE times and laugh at him!!!!

Same as the others. Called wanting to reduce our mortgage. Particularly interested in knowing if I am over 62.

call on 11/05/2013 told caller i am on the DO NOT CALL list and I work for a REAL lender and we DO NOT call people at 6:30pm nor do we EVER call people and told him to take me off thier list immediatly and never call back he laughed at me!

Sadly it does not stop the illegal telemarketers. Those.. if legit do get caught up with sooner or later. It doesn't cover political, some surveys and charity's.Most of those will remove you from their list when asked and if legit.  It also can't stop the frauds, scammers, extortionist and other law breakers! Those are really the worst offenders right now and since they do not obey any laws they will just keep on calling.

You can buy a call blocking device now days or a phone. And of course a whistle or boat fog horn works well also! But don't push any buttons to remove or talk, the best thing to do is not really answer, pick it up and hang it up asap!

Hung up on me after he asked how I was doing..where is the DNC list?

Just listened to a message on my phone received from this number.  The message was a man shouting a profanity into the phone and then hanging up.

Called twice on 8/28/13 within 15min apart. I do not recall the name of the mortgage broker they claim to be from. The call is about reducing mortgage rates. From what little research I can find, the 'real' company they are from is called PayOff911 and they call to generate leads for mortgage brokers that pay for them. So for the most part the company they claim they are calling from could be any mortgage broker that has paid PayOff911 for leads. I mentioned the Do Not Call List and the lady said they scrub for that and she would take me off their list...we will see. I will also enter a complaint on the DoNotCall website.

They have awful customer service when a supervisor hangs up on you after explaining that you've asked to remove your number. Yet they continue to call. I am 32 years old have my own home and no mortgage. So I don't know why they would call me after telling them that they have the wrong number.

Still calling.....Twice today already!  I'm on the do not call list, but it doesn't seem to mean anything.

Called about reducing my mortgage rate , told him I don't have a mortgage which threw him off guard when I asked him what list he was looking at saying that my interest rate was above 3%. He said they would put me on the their do not call list . I'm sick of these telemarketers calling so why not have fun with them when they call and call them out on their bogus lists or info they have in front of them .
