seems like a travel agency scam

travel agency...recv. a fax with their number...typical scam...6 days & 5nights in Cancu for $199.00 yeah right.....

What do they want from me?

I received a call from this number, and I believe I have been suckered...I purchased the vacation online, and every time to this date 3/7/11, I am yet to be able to get in touch with anyone to book the .  None of the contact numbers work and when ever i tried to contact via email, a generic response is sent saying that someone will contact you,...I'm still waiting...DO NOT DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My husband and I got scammed as well.  Fax came in through Ford fax machine at my husband's work.  Booked trip,  about 6 months ago.  Is there a time limit to which your bank takes disputes.  I worry it's too late.  This is so horrible,  also because I gave the memo to  a coworker who booked 16 members of her family as well.  How embaressing and sad that this kind of human being exists,  hopefully he is rotting in a jail cell somewhere and is bankrupt himself.  
Any info reg. booking last year,  we'd love to hear,  I'm going to try and file a dispute tomorrow with our bank.

I just got their memo and it has a "Delta" letterhead!  I called the no. (877)807-7608 and asked if they had a web site.  Go to the mymexicanresort.com address and then found all this info.  By the way, after the person gave me the email address he hung up.....nothing said, just hung up!  That was my first clue! They are just crap!!  BEWARE!!!!!!!

I just see people canceling but not following with really booking?  Has anybody really gone?

It seems nobody has really followed through to booking the Vacation.  How far has everyone gone to get their vacation?

I fully agree that this sucks and no one ever says anything and I'm glad that i'm on this blog b/c I wish I would have checked here earlier.  I will call tomorrow to and try to get my refund.

I gave them my information too but haven't signed anything.  What did you try to do.  I will call them to get my refund!! Can't believe I fell for it.

I've been recently scammed too and they told me the same thing b/c I thought it was legitimate.  How can they send something internally and make it look like it was generated internally.  Did you call them for a refund?

I have not signed anything,does this mean its still too late to get my money back...those DAmNscreemers!  I wish I would have asked about checking out the site first before I jumped at it.  It is too good to be true and I sucked.  What are my options at this point?? Can anyone help?

Hey, my boyfriends job handed out these faxes so he believed that it was from his job! He booked the 6/5 for cancun or cabo for $199 pp as a surprise for us, when he came home I recognized the fax as it had come throught my job before and our HR dept sent a fax out saying it was not from them and to disregard it.. I also called and tried to ask them questions and they only wanted my credit card info before theyd even speak to me, and then my bf called and started asking some serious questions and they just keep hanging up. They sent him a "confirmation email" from a gmail account..PRETTY FISHY... We called his bank and told them about the company and this is a scam, but they claim that they can only investigate it after the charges have come out of his account and there is no trip.. what has been your situation so far? Please update me, I can leave my email addy if youd like to communicate that way. thanks!

No these trips don't exist!!! They are scam artists!!! Anyone who calls 1-877-389-9150 will be a victim of fraud and scam!!! I am a travel professional, and spoke to someone at Mymexicanvacations.com, and he hung up on me because I kept asking him to repeat himself due to muffled phone voice. I could barely understand the guy, and I guess he caught an attitude because of all the questions I was asking. DO NOT BELIEVE THESE JOKERS---THEY ARE SCAM ARTISTS!!!! Anyone who can't give you specific information on where you desire to stay, allows a year to travel, and asks for money upfront and tells you to call the Customer Service Department to give them info on your preferences--are SCAM ARTISTS!!! I am sorry for those of you who fell for this.

OMG! this exact thing happened to me... to many ?'s, wanted to talk to my husband to use the business card  they claimed was in "good standing" & referred us to them. ya right! $400 was gonna get us on our way... i needed to give them a card to hold 1 of the last 2 packages left. said i didn't need my husband to make that decision.  i asked him where he was, "cancun" odd... after not giving him the info & insisting i talk to my husband he hung up... BEWARE.

I got my money back. I'm with a credit union and I had to file a fraud report with the credit union and with the FBI, there's an internet compliant site (your bank will give you the website). Once you get a confirmation # that you filed the report, write a brief narrative of why you dont think the company isn't legit, the bank will treat it like a theft/fraud and MAY give you your money back. My bank did.

i received a fax with the continental airline logo on it

You said until it.. until it what  I called my bank in the evening told them not to let any transactions happen.  so they were on it. I canceled that card.  got a call from the bank  said a transaction took place .  I said no way I told you last night.  the money went back in..this evening its gone again.  what the? if the bank stops it that's it isn't? thought this was from my works hr department who are super cool.....
