not a creditor, selling car warranties and other crap complete scam artist, told them to not call this # back, put you on a no call list. been going on for at least 6 months, told them at least 20 times not to call me but they keep calling, since our justice system does not work, if anyone ever finds out the location let me know I have friends in every state and around the world. these people need to be taken care of personally

I am an RBC customer and I noticed the number might be related in an earlier thread... in any case they call me once a day. I was able to block the number with my phone so it goes straight to voicemail. It's annoying because I have to go and listen to someone say "hello" then cut off every time to erase it!
none 2013-05-10 19:24:07 Unknown
This number calls 2-3 times during the day when im about to leave for work, they never even leave a vm regarding the call. So annoying, atleast they call on my landline and not my cell phone. That would be even worse...

Ya these d*cks call all the time. When you pick up, they turn around and sell your number to other d*cks, so that they can call you all the time. This is why a lot of the time they just hang up. It is a computer dialer. You are fighting the machine. It is relentless. The best thing to do is never pick up your phone so they will never know if your number is valid or not to turn around and profit from you. Since cellular phones are not registered here in Canada, they do this so that they can start the same BS as if you had a land line, next thing you know 100 p***s are calling selling windows and time shares and all sorts of sh*t. TRUST me don't pick it up. It's not a collection service and its not anything important.

It is a telemarketer selling accident insurance for rbc. After about 25-30 calls of silence when i answer, someone with a heavy east indian accent tried to sell me insurance.

This number just called and there was nobody on the line; obviously a telemarketing operation.
I called back and got their voice mail, which told me to state my name and phone number to be removed from their list.
Simple solution: Call back, leave your name and number, hope they never call again.

This is the first of many calls to come I?m suspecting. I just cancelled my car insurance a month ago as my car blew up. I didn?t answer. Next time I will tell them that I?m someone else and the person they are calling for has been recently deceased.

Bought a panasonic phone , now I block all unwanted calls, the ones that call even though I`m on the do not call list. The others just because I can . Sorry Mom.

They called my work cell phone, from VOX, a supplement program from RBC.
You can leave your number if you call them back, and they will remove you from their list.

Contact VoxData [a legitimate Canadian company located at 1155 Metcalfe St., 18th. flr., Montreal, QC., H3B 2V6, that derives it's income by doing contract "call centre" work, amongst other things; www.voxdata.com/en/contact-us/] at 1-800-861-9599 and speak to a representative. Give them this number [1-877-330-9754] and tell them you want to be removed from their list-- though you will have to confirm your own telephone number.
According to the CRTC, they're obliged to comply within 30 days, so you will likely receive more calls until VoxData finally gets around to actually deleting your name and phone number from their list.
Yes, I realize that commerce drives business and all that, but personally, I would never purchase insurance from a bank that pestered me with phone calls at all hours. And, I'd likely stop banking there as well.
P.S. Hey Mike H.: you gotta read the article in Consumer Reports concerning credit card insurance; it's not a good deal at all! By law, you aren't responsible for fraudulent charges on your credit cards; if your card(s) is/are lost or stolen, just call the credit card issuer and have it/them cancelled. It's worth it to always keep a photocopy of your credit cards (front and back) and i.d.'s eg. driver's license, health cards, etc. (front and back) somewhere safe so you have the information you need to get them replaced quickly.
CanUK 2012-06-19 17:46:14 Unknown
This only works in certain cases, however. On the website it tells you that there are exceptions, such as if the call is from a company you do, or have done, business with. So if you have an RBC account (as my wife does) they can get someone to call you all they want and generally become a major pain in the a***! Also charities and government (of course - they can always do as they please) bodies are exempt from being blocked. It's still a good idea to reduce the amount of calls but won't stop them all, unfortunately.
canceled 2012-06-13 18:15:05 Unknown
I called the number back and there was a message recorder to leave my name and number if I wished to be taken off their calling list. So I did! It was RBC about insurance.
