Just called right now. And some indian guy answered with a thick heavy accent. I couldn't understand him very well. He asked for my zipcode & age. But I didn't give him my name or personal info which I'm glad I didn't. They also were going to charge me $1.60 something for a portfolio & password. I said to my self this is b***s***. Why would someone want to charge you money for this??? And minutes in the convo I had a sick werid feeling this was a "SCAM". And, I quicky hungup. Whewwww... that was a relief. My advice to anyone who plans on calling Don't! And if you plan on calling hangup fasst! Duces.

It's legit.  I called and registered.
If you don't have any contacts to anyone from the entertainment industry, you have to start small.
The registration fee is $1.98.  I paid it and it was a legit transaction, just be careful that you listen carefully to the speaker and you read the instructions after you signed in.

This number is in the Pennysaver for movie and tv extras. I wouldn't trust it. Look...if you are looking to be in the entertainment industry, this is really not the way to do it. I have family and friends in the industry and they were connected by their educational experience and involvement working from the bottom and moving up.

Wow, a total scam, from the moment they pick up the phone, the first thing they ask you is your area code...  who knows what they want your credit card info for....  can't believe that Ad is still up in the pennysaver.

Saw the ad in "PennySaver." Entered the phone number in Google. Saw the comments. Most helpful. Did not call. Thank you all. To anyone who gave them info, move fast. Cancel any card for which you gave them numbers. Contact your banker, now. Good luck to you.

I say let your banker know about your situation. And ask them to change your credit/debit card number. And if the banker wants to charge you for the service. I say pay for the service fee. It's better than letting those scammers a run at your money!

I called to set up myself and they didn't want to work with me because I didn't have a credit card account or a credit gift card. After I the conversation was finished I realized I was going to be scammed. So I immediately looked up the number online. Don't give your information to anyone asking for a credit account until you meet them in person or you're confident the people you're doing business are legit.

I also called the number and had the same conversation as the other above.  The thing that really made me "goosey" was that I wanted to have a profile for both my husband and myself.  But that required that I give a second credit card.  They said that they COULD NOT do both profiles on the same credit card! I've never heard of such a line of BS......

been seeing that number in ad for Movie Extras in Pennysaver for months now ...
and after reading above comments,  after looking up any info on that number on internet search engine (what co. that number belongs to),  it's seems like a scam to me too, and I bet whoever set it up has a half a million dollars by now, or will be a millionaire, if they are still running their ads .... and I bet they are counting on the fact that if they are only scamming you out of $1-2, that you won't report it as a scam, and that you'll just chalk up the loss of $1. to experience, out of shame or because it is just a small amount ...  but use your brain!!  if they get $1 from a million people ....  they will have made a million dollars from scamming a million people out of a simple/small one dollar....!!! -- so all you considering signing up,  DO NOT ... make these cheaters millionaires! -- There's legitimate agencies for movie extra work, like Cenex in Burbank, where you go in person, pay one-time  charge of $10. with which they take a photo of you, put it in their computer & take your info in person,  and no creditcard needed, and once signed up they got phone lines you can call daily/hourly to check for extra job listings,  with legitimate jobs at legitimate shows/movies in the Los Angeles area!!
It's only minimum wage for non-union extras, but real honest work & pay!!! --
(and they's not in India .... you can check their co. and website on internet! --
God bless you all -- with insight, wisdom and wealth!

I also called this number  that i saw in the Pennysaver and got the same thing as Jazzy. They ask for your credit card number to
Pay for your "portfolio" and say if they don't contact you
In 90 days you can get your money back.( lies I bet!!) But the lady spoke with such a heavy accent, I could barely understand her. Anyways, sounds like a scam.
So don't call this number if you see it in the paper!

I called this number but it seemed as if I was transferred to India or something and they were reading off a script. It would cost $1.98 to set up a portfolio online for media directors to then contact me within 90 days. I hung up before gathering anymore information. Sounds pretty scamy to me.
