Call comes from automated caller, requesting a call back at the above number for an important message.  Does not reveal who company is and does not reveal who they are calling for.  Have received six of these calls at random times.

I get the same calls saying its an important message but I always hit the end button.

Call also comes from automated caller wanting me to call back giving me a reference # to use,    Been getting them for some time and at all times of day.   They never say who they are.

This is the message I get from the automated caller:

Hello.  I am calling with an important message.   This is not a sales call.   Please call me back at 1-877-341-2479.   That number again is -1877-341-2479.   When calling, please reference the following number <7-digit-number>.

We receive this call nearly every evening.  We also get it Saturday morning at 8am.

Woman called from number, and when I stated This is TR With ______ _______ Company (This is my company cell and used only for that purpose) She asked for a George Williams, I restated my name & company and said that this is a business phone and there is not, and never has been anyone here by that name. She then just hung up. Will wait and see if they call again. (After some research I found out the number belongs to Bay Area Credit Services) Seems like a couple months ago I was getting calls from Bay Area Credit looking for someone with a different name (than this George guy or my name) too, but it was from a different phone number.

Just got a call from them - hung up - a few hours after I was told they  (Bay Area Credit) wouldn't call again!!

I get them every day in the AM. I don't pick up. The messages are vague. They always tell me it's very important I call back. Since I don't owe anyone any money, I delete their messages as soon as they start.

Received about 4 calls now on my cell phone. How would they get my cell phone number? I didn't notice if it was at the same time every day. I don't answer if I don't recognize the number so I let it go to voicemail. The message is the same as others mention, but the case no# is cut off and I don't get what it is. I've never tried calling them back. How do I get their machine to stop calling?

As everyone else, multiple calls from both this number and 800/697-1234.  I actually owed for an ambulance charge so I paid it.  Then I continued to get the calls.  I wish that the cell companies would invent a mechanism to block these numbers.  What a concept, huh?

I recieved the call from this number and decided to call back as I was curious. They were looking for someone with a different name. They removed the number from their call list. They did sound like a collection agency.

My credit card was stolen and used within the last week so when I saw Bay Area Credit 925-776-2903 on my caller ID but no message on the machine I was eager to call back.  When I called back, a man answered saying "Bay Area Credit" (with background noise of other phones/people).  I inquired about why I had received a call.  He said it wasn't a telemarker, checked the phone number where I had recieved the call and then gave me 1-877-341-2479.  He told me it was a business matter and that I should call to resolve it.  I called the number he gave me and got a female recording telling me their business hours - but no identification of the business.

I just got a call to my cell phone from this number at 3:59 pm PST.  I answered but there was no one on the line, and so I googled the number and found this site.  My phone is usually off at this time of day, so I have no idea if they call regularly at this time.

I keep getting calls from this number on my caller ID but no messages.  When I am home and answer the phone, no one comes on the line.  I called the number back today and a girl answered the call.  I asked why she keeps calling and leaves no message.  She asked for my number and said she was trying to reach a Mr Simpson.  I advised that person passed away 3 years ago (not my relative) and offered to give his family a message and she said that would not be necessary.  She was callling for Bay Area Credit

CALLS EVERYDAY AND NOBODY ANSWERS, I JUST HANG UP, but they are very
annoying!!!!

Receive calls on a daily basis, sometimes caller leaves a voicemail other times they don?t.  When I?ve answered the phone or called back, this is what happens every time: The caller is a recorded female voice saying "Hello, This is not a sales call. We are calling about a personal debt. Please call us back at 877-341-2479, and gives a reference number, then hangs up?. The caller does not identify who they are. I just ignore them now, because I don?t have any debt, never have.

i get these calls at the same time daily because it is a computer programmed to call at that time. i have no debt and have no desire to talk to some machine or stupid person acting on behave of a collection agency. can you imagine having that job? do they train a person to act mean and angry as if it's the money from their pocket they are collecting. i will have my attorney call them and get some enjoyment. she won't even have to act. i just hope everyone else getting these bogus calls will file complaints and we can put a stop to it. thanks for listening.....

well, I finally decided to call them back... and guess what! the phone number's been disconnected!  It will be interesting to see if we still get calls from them....

I live in North idaho and get the same as everybody else, I have not called them back but Maybe the FCC should be contacted.

Get these calls randomly, with the same messages as the others.  I have reported their phone number to the do-not-call agency.  Everytime I get another phone call, I file another complaint.

I've received a couple of calls on my cell from them. I travel extensively on my job so I don't maintain a land line at home; I use the cell for everything. They call and don't leave a message, so they're almost certainly using an auto-dialer -- I don't ansewer so with no voice on my end to activate their response system the call doesn't get transfered to one of their reps. If you call back you get an automated voice that does not name their company, but just says "Please hold while we transvfer you to the next available representative". As far as I can tell I don't owe anybody anything, so I don't feel any great need to talk with them. Besides, I don't talk to people who won't properly identify themselves.

This number called me constantly, I never picked up (they used to call early on Saturday mornings) and they never left a message.  I ignored it because I figured it was a charity or something and I didn't want to be rude (I don't donate to charities over the phone).

Finally I called today and got someone, and they mentioned they were looking for someone I never heard of.  How they got my number, I have no idea, but they took me off the list.

I am still considering contacting the FCC about these calls, I think this is a very questionable business practice using people's personal numbers in a shotgun approach to collect overdue accounts.

got the same call consistently. turns out it was a medical bill that I didn't create. They had my name but wrong address..which is an address I've never lived at... and the last 4 digits of my social were turned around. It was almost like they were trying to get me to give them my social.

got a call with a reference number. called back.. turns out there was a hospital bill fee which was not paid for. 75$ and had gained interest to 82$ and was needed to be taken care of. they're just a collections agency.

Left daily messages on my answer machine that I have an important message waiting for me and that I have to call back this number and reference some # they gave me.

I don't want to call them back because they don't identify who they are.

I keep getting the same call late at night which is extremely irritating. "this is not a sales call.. etc" Or I'll pick up and press one to tell them to cease and desist calling that the person does NOT live here and no one answers the phone. I was put on hold for a good 10 mins and still no answer when I gave up.


These calls started up as of 1/1/08 for some reason..
