This pitch is older than Methuselah. Any membership deal is only as good as the company pitching it, remember Direct Buy, well their history and so are the dollars members paid to join. Same pitch from travel outfits. Nothing is "free" so don't walk but run as fast as you can away from these types of offers. By the way we received the same "grand opening" card in the mail last year from an outfit in Bothell. Speaks volumes about these folks.

Seattlewest, did you decide to do the deal?  We went last night to the presentation, got our vouchers and were looking at possibly doing it.  I think in the long run it would be cheaper to pay the smaller amount here than booking the entire trip myself.  You figure you're getting $1,940 ($620X2 + $350X2) worth of a vacation and it would cost you around $500 or so for having the pay the fees, taxes, port fees, etc.  That's not a bad deal.  I'm still kicking it around since it would be a decent savings.

Got the card, made the call, have an appt for tomorrow... think I will cancell it. Thanks to those of you who actually went and found out what the scoop was. I KNEW it was too good to be true. Makes me mad that there is upfront money before you can even see the booking times. I certainly won't give them money for info that may or maynot work for me... that would be silly.

I just called the number and made an appointment prior to reading Seattle.  I may change my mind due to the fact that they require you to send them a money order of $174 prior to even viewing the booking times and the cruise only $620/less per person with airfare $350/less.  By the time all is said and done I think I am able to get a better deal on Vacations to go...great cruise prices!  I've used them over 10 times for cruising.

I got a post card and called too.  It was weird.  I'm glad Seattlewest wrote - thanks - i won't be making my "appointment".  the weird part was the statements " they close their doors and even if you are a minute late you won't be admitted..."  Sounds like a group control project.

I attended the 90 minute presentation and addtional 30 minute personal pitch at the Country Inn in Bothell before receiving the vacation vouchers.  The company is Archer Travel Services from Montrose, CA.  It a Costo-like service for a "license" that they want you purchase immediatly for $10,500 and then $300 per year after that..  They assure you that it will save you 4 to 80% off on all travel arrangements and restaurants for life if you purchase it today.  Its good only for 10 years if buy it later. After, they realize you not going to buy today, they offer discounted licenses for $9,500 to $6,500. The diffrence in price appeared to based on the probability of getting ideal accomondations on short notice.  They would not allow me to take any published information.
Now that I have the free travel vouchers,  I have to first send $174 money order by certified mail to recieve the instructions on reservation procedures.  After three to four weeks I'm supposed to recieve my booking instructions after which I have to respond in writing my selection of two deapature times at least 60-days apart, and at least 90 days in advance. The cruise voucher is only for cruises $620 or less/person and the airline fare is $350 or less per person.   Any input would be appreciated???

I got the postcard and did make the call. The outfit is Dream Vacations of Bothell, Washington. They want to schedule a 90 minute presentation of their discount vacations and, in return, give you a certificate for a free cruise on either Carnival or Norwegian. I did not make an appointment.
