This is the second one I have received and this time there was a blocked i.d. number so I can't block it from my cell, and yes, I am with T-Mobile.  I also don't have a Chase account but what gave me the clue it was a hoax, is that I don't give my cell phone to businesses.....they get my land phone.

The first clue that this is not a legitimate text message is that when you call the 877 number they ask you to enter your account number.  Chase tells me that they would only ask for your last four digits on your account for verification since they already know your account number.

Just received the same stupid message (SCAM). They will never learn that Bankers do not work on the week ends and holidays when the real banks are closed. I never received these text messages until I also went to T-Mobile, funny isn't it? Go to your T-Mobile account and should be able to block this text from coming to your number.  I was getting a lot of these scams as t-mobile.com and T-Mobile put a block that you can set up to stop the texts from finding you. good luck.

I totally agree with you, I know it's a scam, but what about all the other people such as elderly etc.  These scammers make me sick and there needs to be a Federal Investigation on these scammers and an easier way for people like us to report them.

I also got the same message as above on my cell phone twice in the last week. I am a T-Mobile customer.
I have a Chase account but did not call the number. Thanks for helping me to verify that this is a scam.

Just got a text from them.  Whenever I have a legitimate problem, I get a person calling.  They may leave a voice message, but a business will never text.  They do text me when my account is below $50, but that's all.

We just recieved this message.  It is obviously a hoax.  No way to trace the message as far as I can see.  But I am like a bulldog, I don't let go.  I hate scams like this and make it my personal mission to shut them DOWN!!!!

My account is closed and I got this same text message and when I called the number they asked for my account number and wanted to reactivate my account. I did enter the account number and then they asked for my expiration date. fortunately for me I had destroyed the card so I could not give them that and when I did nothing they disconnected the call. Then I called chase at one of their contact numbers on their website and the person told me it was probably one of the phishing calls. He said since I had not entered any of my personal info that it is probably okay. Could have had an issue with this. I can't believe I did this, oh well live and learn.

I just got this text message. When i called Chase through their normal customer service line and asked for verification, she couldn't find that number in their phone book. She said she was 95% sure it wasn't from them.

Got this text 10 minutes ago - obvious phish, and i seem to get 2 or 3 of these a week.  I never used to get them with sprint, but i get them frequently now that i am T-Mobile.  Coincidence?  I doubt it.
