My husband is receiving call at his grandmother house out of town saying that he wrote a fraud check when we don't even have checks now they saying that he have a warrant out for his arrest

number was given to me something about some bad checks don't know what they are talking about

called my job, cell phone, and brother, left a message said her name was tina wilson and that her client filed a complaint in her office and she has a court summons that she will deliver to my job or my home if I don't reply ASAP!! I don't even know who this person is nor do I not what company says that I wrote a dishonored check!!! before I agree or willing to hear them out they need to give me more information on her client!! .... if any one knows who this is please reply ... THANKS!!

My son received a call from this number "Unknown Caller" asking for me.  The caller, Brook Bailey told him I had written bad checks and would be served a subpoena. I have not written any bad checks and am very concerned about this call.

I had a message left on my machine.  Saying the same thing about bad checks. I do not have any bad checks.  Have they called you again?

Someone from this number is calling my home and cell leaving very threating messages. they are Mason Davis and Danny Fisher  Worldwide and SSA

Same thing happening to me. Left very threating message on my home phone and called my work. Federal employee so no a good idea for Mason Davis or Danny Fisher

I received threating phone calls from this number. That stated that I owed money and that if I did not pay they were serving me with court papers. They also called all my family members saying I wrote a check fradulantely. I work for a company and we are close with a collection agency and the contact and my collection agency stated that EVERYTHING they say and do is AGAINST THE LAW. If they call you state that you know your rights and they are breaking (2) laws: 1 - The Fair Debt Collection Practices ACt and the Consumer Credit Protetction Act! And like I did notify the State of New York Attorney General!!!!

I recieved the same phone call today except her name was kelly stevens. What ever happened with your phone calles? I have no bad checks?

I continually receive threatning calls from this company. The comapny is called S & S Group.
They call my phone number looking for Chris Mcenzie. I have no idea who this guy is but its my phone number now. I have told them at least 15 to 20 times not to call me anymore, but they insist on doing so. What can I do about this??

If you owe debt and are summoned to court (served by a real process server or via US Mail but *never* by telephone) you must appear or the creditor/collector will prevail by default. Otherwise, this threat of a court summons for a bad check is a common ploy of scammers and should be ignored. If you get called at work, tell your supervisor about it immediately and ask for your workplace's cooperation in crippling scammers.
