They called me asking for the last four of my SS# so they can give me some personal information. I did not comply, so then they asked me for my year of birth. I asked for a number to call back and they gave me 877 383-4576 x384. I think this is a scam trying to get your info.

They call my cell and work number, and have now started calling the main office. I call back and never get a person. So frustrating!

They've been calling for months asking for "Tamara."  I keep telling them there is no one at my number by that name.  I have--every time--asked them to stop calling but they continue to call.

1.  Hook your landline up to your fax machine on your printer and set it to pick up at 2 rings...they can't stand it!

2.  Save the recurring numbers all as a Spam Contact.  Then either block all calls from the contact or change your ringer to "none".  You'll never hear it again!  

3.  I'm not certain how my brother did this:  he recorded the "auto answer" menu for that particular company...the "Thank you for calling ...listen to our menu options."  Then he set it up on his iphone  so that whenever they call him, it sounds like they are looping, calling their own company!  They're so baffled and don't call anymore!

these people call house and two cells back to back many times a day.   once in awhile they leave message.... if your not so and so dont listen to this message...

This company calls my place of business and cell from all different numbers.  Thank goodness for the internet.  I would never pick up a call from them.

The caller says that they want to speak to someone about a "Business Venture."  The person they wish to talk with has not been a part of the household for over five years.  They will say nothing more.  It is very irritating.

They keep calling my cell from this number and asking for someone I don't know, I think the previous owner of my cell number.  I have told them for almost 2 TWO years now that I am not that person they keep calling.  I WANT THEM TO STOP STOP STOP CALLING MY CELL NUMBER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My Caller ID identifies this number as being from Nationwide Credit. They do not leave messages. I don't pick up the phone. I have previous experiences of phone calls from other debt collection companies. I answer the call, i explained to them they are calling the wrong number but they won't stop calling. Reporting to FCC has been effective in the past. I will do the same this time. They are the same callers as 770-644-7400

I have contacted all creditors and request they not call me at my place of business and these people keep calling me at work

A caller left a message on my answering machine trying to "confirm" the "location" of someone related to me, requesting that I call back <b>(877) 383-4576</b>. The number turned out to be the latest in a string of toll-free call center numbers for <b>Nationwide Credit, Inc.</b> (NCI), a collections mill that is the target of at least half a dozen criminal investigations and innumerable lawsuits for violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.

have received at least 6 calls from this number in the last few weeks.  It will leave a message saying "this call if for Scott Perkins" If you are not Scott Perkins, please disconnect."

Caller said she was "confirming location information" but did not say for whom.  If they think I'm calling back based on this kind of message, they are nuts.

They keep calling me on my cell phone EVERYDAY!!! Asking me if I am Jennifer Metzler. I keep telling them its not me.

Got a text message at 3:46 in the morning!  I don't even have a Citibank account.

caller said that if I was not Al (lastname)to hang up.  Said that the message was private and that they would allow me three seconds to get to a location that would ensure privacy.  Said it was a call concerning an unpaid debt.  I happened to know the person, called and gave him the number they left.  He said he had no debts outstanding, but called the 1-877-383-4576 number they left.  That number got to a recorded message asking him to leave a reference number.
Since he had no reference number, he hung up since there was no one to talk to.

Never leaves messages, if they are a debt collector they are not too good at it as they never leave a message.

They call for a relative of ours. They call 6-7 times daily and even call on Sundays. I always follow the instructions that they leave for you if you are not the person they are trying to contact. I do this and they still keep calling! I understand they are trying to collect a debt, but we are not the people they are trying to contact!

Nationwide Credit, collecting for American Express

These people have been calling for almost a year asking for information on my late husband's whereabouts.  He has been deceased for 7 years and I know for a fact he had no outstanding debts (he was also never affiliated with this phone number before he died).  When I spoke to them 4 months ago, I told them to remove this number or I would report them to the FCC.  They said they would.  Today I got the same message as a caller above (about disconnecting if not so-and-so and giving 3 seconds to get to a private location.)  Since an earlier poster said that reporting to the FCC has been effective, I will try that next.  It is one thing to experience the death of a spouse at an early age.  It does not need to be compounded by harassment by a bogus debt collector 7 years later!

I have been receiving calls claiming a debt owed to a name not at this number with the response to be made to Nationwide Credit 877-383-4576 for months now.  The calls are prerecorded and happen erratically, a few times twice in one day then days pass with no call at all.  It is annoying but I hesitate to call back and give ANY info at all.  It is bad enough that my answering machine has taken these calls a bunch of times when I've been out!  Has anyone had success in stopping these people?

Is Nationwide credit an actual company? Or is this some form of sadistic prank.

lady from India called asking if i was so and so and lived at so and so.  i asked who was asking and i couldn't understand her thick India slang.  how do such companies get cell phone numbers?!

Comes up as 800 Service..in reality it's a rather disreputable collections "agency" called Nationwide Credit. It's my understanding they are constantly they are being sued for abusive collection practices. As with any collection agency, NEVER discus ANYTHING with them over the phone. Get EVERYTHING in writing ONLY.

Nationwide Credit - they sure go through a lot of trouble to disguise their telephone numbers.  Not going to work with me.
