I was gullible enough to click on a Dairy Queen Facebook ad advertising a free birthday blizzard. It took me to an official-looking Dairy Queen page and had me fill out a questionnaire and even said there was 4 of these coupons left in my city (which was actually named, thanks to location services) and led me to another page asking for a PIN. It texted me the PIN and only had 160(?) seconds to enter it and it counted down. I thought this was weird, but thought it was to make sure there wasn't an inactive user on the page. I entered the PIN from the first line of my text and it asked for another one with another 160 seconds. I stopped there because why would you need two? I looked at the texts and it said I was signed up for $9.99 for a SoLow Elite game.

I called T-mobile and they help stop the content and I called the number and canceled with the automated service. I called back and confirmed with a representative, who also put me on a block list.

I also sent a message to Dairy Queen Corporate Offices about their business brand being used to trick people.

Well guys - I'm with Bell and the same thing happened to me.  Yes it sucks and it's been going on for awhile for me and I didn't know how to stop it.  It's not a service provider problem though.  It's bigger than that.  I'll be filing a complait with the CRTC as well.

I find Rogs/Fido --the same  owner company ,  have big problem!  I doubt they help the scam company robbing our money! I even doubt they are  share that  money! I wish we work together sue them !

I used Rogers cell phone near three years, last month some body send some information which I even do not understand ,So I am not to  pay attention to  that.,  After I get Rogers pay bill, I find it charge my $45, I call Rogers , Rogers ask me Call those two  company. I call them, in one company, the person say need talk with his superviser, another company just telephone recording! I have not sign any contract with them , why they charge me  and why Rogers pay my money to them? So I do not pay Rogers Bill untill now, Today Rogers stop my phone service, how I can do ? Just opened this months Rogers bill. Charged $25 for "send me" content. WTF? I've never signed up for any such thing. I've been a Rogers customer since 1994. In that time I've spent over $40k in cell service. Will call in the morning. They'd better credit my account and block all further 3rd party charges or they can kiss my a** and the next 16 yrs / $40 k of payments.

I got charged 27 dollars without knowing anything I have got. My cell phone service carrier just told me that this number is who charged me.

I got robbed by SOLOW too, with Rogers' connivance. Rogers charges SOLOW money to allow them to have access to Rogers clients. It is in Rogers financial interest to allow the scam to continue.

This predatory practice must be illegal. I will call Rogers on Monday (this is Easter weekend) to rip a strip off them and tell them I blame them for allowing predators to get my cell phone number. I will take it up the Rogers ladder as far as I need to until I get satisfaction.

The gf had the same problem last month and now my little sister just called me and said she got charged the same $25 onto her bill. Both with Rogers. This is BS. I am not mad at the stupid scamming sendme company...I am pissed at our cell phone service providers for allowing this!

they have cancelled that number and given a new number but it doesn't matter because there is no one there to talk to to get your money back.  It is a fly-by-night operation that only exists to rip you off.  The new number that they have is 1-877-402-3687.  You will have to leave a message ... I do not want to repeat the message (third message) that I left on my 3rd call.

Much the same here.  I started receiving texts in March and just deleted them.  Next thing I know I have a $25 charge on my cell.  Lady at Rogers was nice but she too told me I had to deal directly with the company.  She would however put a block on that number so I shouldn't receive any more.  I was able to talk to someone at 877-402-3687 who canceled the service and said they would send me a cheque for $25.  Three weeks later and no cheque.  I called today and got ahold of another rep... surprise surprise the cheque was mailed to me yesterday.

My guess is no cheque will ever arrive.  Lesson learned I guess.  I did fire off a complaint to the CRTC and will follow up with a complaint to the police or BBB if/when the refund doesn't arrive.

Hi, just wondering if FIDO took any action, how did you proceed ?

I just got my fido bill and was charged $ 10 for a service I did not sign up for. I called Fido and they asked my to call 877 402 3687. I left them a voice mail. FIDO sucks they are not willing to help or to waive the charge, they advised me to call those guy.  Any other recommendation, I think I received 2 more messages from them which will be another $ 10 ?!

I didn't paid at all, called rogers and they waived fee, ask Rogers should not only waived that charge, should stop them to protect customers. that's the no-brain fraud/scam. next time if it happen again, you should call the police to ask them to start a investigation.

We also got a charge of $25 on FIDO bill from SendMe  *23687 Solow, FIDO was not very helpful. FIDO CSRs were  very rude.

Same ting happend to me, with FIdo!! it carged me $30 + tax!!

i got charged 35 dollars on my phone bill i have no idea who they are or how they can do this i got a hold of someone and they said i gave them permission that is not true at all i refuse to pay this what i dont understand is how your cell company allows this this is crap i like to know how you can stop t5his company

I just cancelled mine right now. I didn't even remember confirming any service or whatsoever from them and now I got a $45 charge in my phone bill. I tried calling those numbers too but got no luck.

I have also received charges on my bill and complained to Rogers.  They told me that I have to deal directly with the third parties (there are several).  They did advise me that this particular third party has changed their number to 1-877-402-3687.  I havn't called them yet to have charges reversed but have been in contact with other third parties and get nothing but the run around,  I will be filing a formal complaint with the CRTC today, I hope others to also.

Answer: 3rd party was authorized to charge but actually not. Rogs advise to call directly to 2387. Recording answer: to call 10145787 but will charge $3.99.  NEVER authorized any 3rd party.  Rogs should not charge me without my authorization.  3rd party just said having my authorization. If I say I have obtained authorization to charge somebody, then Rogs will charge somebody. This is rediculous. Rogs or Govt should correct this.

This number will send you a text message back confirming you have canceled your number from them.

The 1 877 number does not work and don't bother calling them.  I hope this helps.

this provider is SENDME/SOLOW which charge me $5 per text, when you try to contact them by this 877 number, then you will be asked to a 10145787 number which charge you $3.99 per min. GOD, what the hell, and i do the research about that 10145787 number and I found http://www.zadfrack.com/10145787-directory-assistance-scam mentioned "When you dial that number, you get a recording saying the number can?t be found. Sounds simple enough, right? Very simple. Until you get your phone bill. There it is: Fastrack Global Directory Assistance ? $4.51"

so please be very aware of this kind of scam number with robbering your money from your phone bill.
