The caller asks that the person responsible for a student loan call back the number 877-402-5817. I called the number back and was told that I did not need to use the area code 877. I am a senior citizen. I have no student loans.

Collection Agency for student loans - My ex-step-daughter and ex-husband get calls at my home from them all the time. Even if you tell them you have no contact with them, they continue to call. Good luck getting off the list if you aren't the one in default.
