on 9/28/09 at 6:31pm...I got a text message from "1234" saying my CARD has been DEACTIVATED from Credit Union West...and to reactivate my card call (877) 407-6195.  I called the number from my cell phone and a recording said it was not a valid number.  So I text the text I got back asking to take my number off the list and the text came back saying...the recipient you are sending to has chosen not to receive messages. Msg 2111

i also got a message on several occasions, i finally deleted and i got three more from them today 6/7/2010, via text message it was from 502, said your card starting with 4852 has been deactivated please contact us at 800-9360797.

Just got one that said "West Alert: Your card starting with 4852 has been deactivated.  Please contact us at 602-324-9555 to reactivate your card."  I thought something was fishy since I didn't recognize who or what "West" was.  Thank you to those who have posted here verifying that it is in fact a scam.

I have received several unsolicited calls on my business cellphone from 877-649-1737.  How morons like this one (or these) make it beyond the womb is beyond anyones comprehension.  I have more respect for the people I see standing at the end of freeway exit ramps with signs looking for hand-outs.  Anyway, I continue to delete these messages without response.  Eventual they drop off the edge of the universe.

Got a text msg from Credit Union West Alert.  Your CARD has been DEACTIVATED.  Please contact us at 877-407-6195 to REACTIVATE your CARD. That was from MsgID5_RHSDSQZF@v.w.  I didn't call because I knew I did not have a card with them.  About 5 min later I got another identical text msg but this time from MsgID5_9VPDSQZF@v.w.  I was sure this was a phishing scheme so didn't call but decided to look up phone # thru Google and sure enough this is what I found - all these other people who received same text msgs.  SPREAD THE WORD!!

getting text messages supposedly from Credit Union West asking me to call this number regarding unauthorized activity on my account. ( I don't have an account w/ them.) They want your credit card # and Pin. Idiotic Phishing scheme.
