each day I have been getting a random SMS. I think it all started with the burger king win a kinect every 15 minutes promo. they were sued for for spamming people earlier this year. nothing stinks more than doing a free promo and getting bent over for doing it.

I googled the number right away and got to this site. Needless to say the message was ignored and deleted.

This is a scam. To get the freebie, you'll have to give them your credit/debit card number for a small shipping charge but what they won't tell you is buried in the fine print is authorization to negative-option bill your card for nonsense subscriptions. Negative-option means they keep charging every month until you cancel the subscriptions but the scammers sometimes make it very difficult to cancel. The scammers can obviously also bang a big charge on your card. Your card issuer may or may not agree to stop the subscriptions and give you the money back because you'd agreed to them in the fine print even though you were completely unaware of them. This is a scam.
