This is a scam. The have removed 39.95 and 29.95 from February Capital One.  There was a charge in January for 1.95 for GPI and Paysse associates.  They setup recurring payments on my Capital one. I reported the activity as fraud and cancelled my card

this number belongs to a place that offered a free credit card for a store (WalMart) in return of a magazine subscription..which was a keep or cancel..and still keep the WalMart card. If you call them they will straighten it out, and still send the card

call 877-888-0608 tell them you did not order the magazine. I did and they said they would credit it back and gave me a cancellation number. Hope this helps

I also got 2 charges for $1,95 which I cant trace..
Then another charge for $24.95 which I was able to get reversed as it was for a magazine subscription. .  +

I called my Health Savings Account to get the balance info and was routed to the $1.95 for a $100.00 gift card offer-thinking it was attached to my HSA, I went for it.  I'm not sure how that happened, but I will be talking to them and my bank when they open after Labor Day.  I see these posts started 3 YEARS ago.  I believe I will make a Better Business Bureau claim as well.

Scumbags are still at it, started charging my mother who is on ssi $39.99 a month last month, since she doesn't have much money we caught it pretty quickly, no idea how they got her card. her statement referenced GPI 888-604-7695 Tucson, googled the number and that's how I got here

I had a charge from Frontgate but with a different phone number - 877-420-7574. It asked for a pin# and then hangs up. I called the number from the previous posts on here at 8774201596, and talked to a customer service representative from preferred reader services. she looked up my information and said I did not have any charges from them but that I should call united discount travel services at 866-237-9342, which turned out to be a fax #. she denied knowing who frontgate is. I think we should report to FTC but not sure under which category. i will spend another day on the phone it looks like. hate these jerks. I did get "colonial book services" to reverse that charge, but still hunting down frontgate. grrrr.

i too have been ripped off by this change! Sure didn't ask for this on my sears bill.

This frontgate phone number listed above is a scam and ripping off people.  I don't know how they continue on getting away with this.  My card was charged 29.99 and for what, I don't even know? I hate telemarketers they are a bunch of liars! I don't even know how they got my credit card number! It must be the stupid Shuan T CD's, thats the only one I ordered online!

I didn't receive call,but called 1(800)363-6061 by mistake.They are a promotional co. that has about 20 promotions they offer. Every time you call you get a different promo..They give your info. to FRONTGATE VA.,they could not give me their contact info. or a reason how they could do this legally. The ph.# that appears on bank statement asks for pin#(which I didn't have) and disconnects when you don't enter.If anyone knows how or who to contact to prosecute these companies,it needs to be done.The co. I called and was charged $1.95 for $100 rebate gift card was Shopclub Va. 877-371-7578 and charged $39.95 mo. later GPI Tucson Az. 888-604-7625.They refunded only when I said I'd report to bank.

I keep getting calls from 8774201596 ..i have called blocked the number. But still got charged for $24.95. 12/04/12

Checked my checking account and there was an unknown withdrawal of $24.95, Dated 12/04/12 never approved this withdrawal......

The transaction "IDP 877-420-1596 with a charge of $24.95 showed up on my MC bill. Calling the cc co. now to report dispute in paying this charge.

They charged my card $24.95 3 times before I caught it. I had to have my account cancelled and another card reissued. Beware!!!!

This is obviously a scam - they've been billing us for months and we never ordered anything.

They are apparently a service protection plan that sell magazines as well?  Im not sure but ask for a refund , they will say no at first, as soon as they say no let them know you've delt with them before and you have gotten a refund but they just credit me back so im sure yall can get that credit back too.

im a month ahead, first was magazines, no credit protection, and what do you know credit protection is also out of Virgina. Mindy is the mgr. at credit protection 877-240-3421, im getting another credit for 29.99, and im calling credit card fraud before i get the charge from pep next month.  Only way to stop it is cancel credit card and have new ones issued. Thats what we are doing.

I was charged also.  I called Frontgate on 877-420-1596.  The rep said they have received several calls from people stating they were charged $24.95.  It is not a charge from Frontgate.  The supervisor advised me to call 877-240-3421.  The company is (ironically) ID Protection.  They also charged me the following month under another name, PEP.  I reported them to my card company and the credit tracking companies.
