Have been calling repeatedly, leave no message.
Paul 2011-06-06 21:04:24 Unknown
I got the same call and ended up getting a recording for John McCain.
Is he going to walk my child when his phone call wakes him up?
Alicia 2011-06-06 21:04:24 Unknown
have called 3 times within an hour- stop it! All of my numbers are registered no call.
Lee 2011-06-06 21:04:24 Unknown
8774312572 called on 10/08/2008 at 1:48 pm. Left a message staing it was the republican national committee encouraging me to vote for McCain. Unfortunately political calls are not subject to the do not call list
Fortunately the election is little more than a month away.
john trimmer 2011-06-06 21:04:24 Unknown
get these every day. i hate friggin elections
annoyed 2011-06-06 21:04:24 Unknown
I received two calls on my CELL from this number, it was a recorded message from John McCain's campaign. I'm on the no call list.
carole norbeck 2011-06-06 21:04:24 Unknown
A John McCain recording....I want this blocked.

DEAD AIR - NO SOUND
I THINK MY TELE-ZAPPER SHUTS THEM DOWN
NO MESSAGE
Wendy 2011-06-06 21:04:24 Unknown
A lot of telemarketing recordings commence when the system hears the words "hello" or "hi" or some variation of that. That's why when you pick up the phone you usually don't hear anything until you say hello because the database autodialer doesn't connect -- either to one of the telemarketers behind the autodialer or to trigger the message that will be left -- if it does not detect keywords. Start your message with "You have reached ..." or "this is ..." instead of "hi," or "hello" and the rest of your greeting. This will not work with every autodialer/recorded message but there does seem to be some legitimacy to it.
This number is currently assigned to the Republican National Committee. Today's call (the third such call in a week) was ex-Gov. Tom Ridge for the McCain/Palin losing team. I cannot wait until this political garbage is over, like I would be swayed by a pathetic phone call ... I have complained by email twice to the RNC who clearly cares little that they are pissing people off as they diligently hope to secure more votes. Not likely ...
ys 2011-06-06 21:04:24 Unknown
They called twice within 2 hours of each call.
I have a non-published number and I'm registered on all the no call lists amd they still call. Tele-marketers do not care or respect the laws. They never leave a message.
Surreal 2008-10-29 15:00:45 Unknown
Somehow I missed the statement about the RNC....
I called them and this number is NOT one of their numbers. We even called the Indiana Attorney General.
Surreal 2008-10-29 14:58:17 Political Call
Actually when we got the phone call it was for Ross Perot.
Although this seems to be used by Republicans I'm beginning to think that something strange is afoot.
Hanna Fanna 2008-10-29 01:21:23 Political Call
I just got a call at 9:18 pm from McCain. I thought even if they aren't on the No call list, they aren't supposed to call past 9 pm.

Calls from this number every evening - when you answer - nobody there. Very annoying. I redialed and they ask you to leave a message but don't identify themselves.
Snow Owl 2008-10-22 21:04:07 Unknown
I just got a phone call from this number and did not answer. I have also received unknown numbers and answered because my friend has an unlisted number and thought it could be her. It was "Jeff" from the McCain office. Have been getting this guy every day. McCain if you think you are winning then how comes you get your office people to call and bug people everyday. And on the Do Not Call List.
daydr34m3r13 2008-10-16 23:02:36 Unknown
I got this call also. No one answers when I pick up the phone. Where can you find out what is being done about numbers that are reported to the DO NOT CALL LIST ?
idave2000 2008-10-16 21:48:04 Unknown
The caller sounded utterly disinterested as she spieled off some nastiness about Obama. She was chewing and even yawned as she talked. Seems unlikely that it is an an RNC or McCain sponsored call. More likely some third party group wanting McCain or the RNC to look bad...which it would in fact do if it really was paid for by them! I called RNC legal and they said that they are receiving complaints and are "investigating".
kallie 2008-10-16 21:19:01 Unknown
202 863-8500
Steve 2008-10-16 18:50:32 Unknown
The number is from the RNC criticizing Obama. Losing numbers in the polls means more frequent calls from the RNC. I am not registered Republican and told them to get my number off their list.
Steve 2008-10-16 18:48:33 Unknown
I had a message from this number and it came from the Republican National Committee. The message left stated Obama was partying with Hollywood stars during the economic crisis a few weeks back and questioned his leadership abilities. The caller left another number at the end of the message. I can't remember precisely what the number was but it came from the 202 area code. Therefore, this number is used by the RNC.
Deborah 2008-10-16 17:11:56 Unknown
Political calls, surveys, and charities are exempt from the "Do Not Call" registry rules...so reporting them aren't going to do you any good...
Jake 2008-10-16 17:07:37 Unknown
Well .. I decided to telephone the RNC,
Office of the Chairman
Mike Duncan, RNC Chairman
Phone: 202-863-8700
Fax: 202-863-8820
Email: Chairman@gop.com
AND LET THEM KNOW ...how many VOTES they cost their candidates.
I hope they lose the election, just because of this nonsense!
Kevin 2008-10-16 00:57:04 Unknown
Call and no message.
john from Indiana 2008-10-15 22:14:01 Unknown
will I agree with the other noted remarks. Who ever this is calls around dinner time and I am also on a no call list

No one ever says anything, they hang up.
ten_speed 2008-10-10 20:27:01 Political Call
Just a nuisance call from the RNC. It's picked up since McCain began dropping in the tracking polls.
Dave 2008-10-09 20:38:25 Political Call
The calls are from the Republican National Committee and as mentioned above, the "Do Not Call" legislation specifically exempted non-profit charities and political campaigns from the prohibition on phoning registered numbers. You can call the RNC at 202-863-8500 at request to be removed. It's at the very end of the message and they say it really fast but they are required to remove you if you so request. Unfortunately, it's also a long-distance call to DC.
cynthia 2008-10-08 21:30:55 Unknown
This is a repeating annoyance, never leaving a message, hanging up before the message program engages, and sometimes only 5 minutes apart in frequency.
AL 2008-10-08 20:29:56 Unknown
Just to let you know-- Do Not Call registries don't exempt your number from political or survey calls. I doubt it will do any good to report this, if it is indeed a political call. Do Not Call registries only exempt you from the commercial type of calls. Charitable organizations are allowed to call you also. For example, I get plenty of calls from both campaigns as well as from Red Cross, etc. People mistakenly think the registry exempts them from these calls, but it does not. If you want such protection, you'll have to start a new movement I guess!
