Hello, I was wondering if Phil Hoberg was still in the Telemarketing business. He got me my start in sales and now I'm a culinary chef. He was a big motivator and push to get back on my feet. I tried Linked In but may not be the same guy. There are a couple Philip Hobergs. Could someone post how to get ahold of him? Thank you.

Get calls from this number a once a day, always says TOLL FREE CALL. Would really like it to stop.

My call said they were from Verizon (apparently they just use the service co. in your area) and said they needed to update my account to lower my rate and keep it for 24 mos.  When I said what this was for he said "FIOS" w a hesitation.  I said to send me the offer in the mail and he said ok, NEVER confirming an address like they always do- not that I would have given it to him.  This is a total SCAM.  You have to be careful out there!!

File a complaint with The National Do Not Call Registry like I just did. They call our business twice a day every day. There is never anyone there. I call back and get a recorded message that they are receiving a high volume of calls, so I just pick an extension and leave messages.

I receive 2 calls a day, minimum from this number...never an answer when I say hello...we are also on the do not call list.  How can we prosecute these annoying sons of guns?

They called me today and asked for my fed Tax ID # or SS #.  I told them that I would have to call back to validate that they were actually calling from Verizon.  They weren't of course.  DO NOT GIVE OUT INFO!!!!!!

I get at least ten calls a day from this number!!

I dialed 'ho' using their dial by name directory and the man I spoke to told me they are from Verizon.  I said that we are very happy with our current phone plan and to please take my number off of their lists.  He said he doesn't have the capability to do that, but he'd write my number down and make sure it's deleted from their division.  He then preceded to tell me that there are three divisions and that I may still get calls from the other two!!! WTH??

There should be a way for us to stop this!!!

And to address Mr. In the Company.  I would venture to say that you further discredit this orginization in multiple ways.  
1. Tell us the name of the company associated with 877.437.9180
2. Provide the CHQ address and CS number.
3. Do please provide the Network Detail on the LD backbone infastructure that you claim all LD trasports on.  I would have you look up the FCC tarrifs and to also understand the region of operations as written.  Please then define to me the 14 state in region ownership as provided by Qwest Communications L.L.C. as the major backhaul and fiber network that leases infastructure to all major carries throughout that 14 state region.  And again I say that a company that calls and says that they are with MCI, AT&T, Verizon, Qwest, or any other SP, will state first name and last name and also must by law divulge the purpose of the call and state (BY LAW) the required CPNI information that requires any authorized teleco or representitive to agree to not use propriotary information for marketing such products and services that are not contained in the public disclosure records agreed upon by any individual authorized on an account. All customer have the right to request a recorded record of the call to be taken as a legal recording that may be subject to local, national and internation judiciary system review if violation of the CPNI act.  If you are with a teleco then you will have to have had training in regulatory compliance and would also understand CPNI 272, 274.  I suggest that before you start muttering about a teleco you need to know that other may run segements of such companies.

Do not trust any call coming from this number!

FYI for all of you that say this is not a scam.  These calls you say are from a legit telephone service Provider but I get calls from the same number 877.437.9180 and they tell me that they are from an office that assists people in online education.

I asked where they got the info and they said it is from a survey online.  I told the lady that I have a masters degree and would never need to do an online schooling program.  I asked where they received my info and she told me that she needed to talk to her supervisor and hung up.  20 minutes later, same number calling about my insurance.  told me that they were with allstate and if I switched to them from my current insurance they could save me money.  I have been with allstates for 17 years.......  Tell me again how this is not a scam.

Call me twice a day, no one ever at the other end, really annoying.

what can be done about this? I have read all the other comments and it's the same thing that keeps happening to me! I keep getting calls from this number and then the call gets dropped...what the hell? do these morons get paid for every call they make? I am also trying to run a business and sometimes grab the phone without looking at caller ID, I will from now on and just wont answer when I see this number!

this is legit. its a promotional comany for at&t and everything that happens with your long distance is through AT&T . All you just like to complain but we are helping alot of businesses. Sorry that all of you are negative unhappy business people. But we are doing good things.

I get calls from this number as well but i seen to get to speak to someone everytime. I actually got my bill lowered with their help. so im not sure whats wrong with the rest of you all.

THEY ARENT A SCAM. I used to get calls from this number too all the time, so I finally decided to hear them out on some AT&T long distance promotion... I went over it and it took about a minute or so. A week after I got a letter from AT&T and actually saved quite a bit on my phone bill. Not great for every business but not a scam either.

Jason calling.  Am I still with MCI and do I want to switch over to verizon?  Told him our invoices are addressed to Verizon Business.  Asked why he was calling and if we are switched over I will need new contacts to do business with.  I told him Verizon has owned MCI for 10 years and are you really with Verizon - he said MCI was only the last 8 months and wished me a good day.

Just got the call on my business line they left an 18 second blank message.
I'm trying to run a business and they waste my time? Why even leave a blank message for 18 sec. Don't they have better things to do with their time?!!

We are on the national do no call list an have been contacted by this 877-437-9180 phone number repeatedly.  When I ask to be taken off their list they hang up call back a couple more times that day without saying anything-then repeat    again about a week or so later.

We are getting calls from 877-437-9180.  When we answer the call no one is there and they drop the call.  It is very annoying.  They should be stopped from doing this.

Called my office, said he was calling on behalf of Verizon and asked for Robert, said there is no Robert here are you calling from Verizon or another company, he said I still need to speak to the person in charge, a lot of back and forth, asked him to take our number off his list said he couldn't do it til he spoke to the manager, I said I'm the manager so do it and hung up.  Have gotten numerous calls on "behalf of Verizon"

Same thing with my office - repeated calls, hang-ups....the works! Extremely annoying.

I have received numerous calls from 877-437-9180 but they only allow a couple of rings before they drop the call.  When calling back the caller ID you receive a message saying that you have reached customer support and they are experiencing a high call volume.  I'm certain that can only be outbound calling.

On the first occasion that I answered the fellow that called said he was calling regarding my telephone service and that I was using currently using one of their resellers and that he could help me experience more savings.

Upon asking what reseller I was using he said, "Your a relatively smart guy you should be able to figure that out." and he said it in a most arrogant tone.  He then explained that all of the telephone lines up here are from Verizon are rented from them and that I could save money dealing with them directly.

When I said that I did not use a line, but voice over IP he rudely said "you could have just told me that and saved us both two minutes of our lives."  When I asked what company he was with he said some other very rude statement and hung up.

I suspect it may be some organized effort to scam seniors and other unsuspecting individuals out of personal and financial data.

They keep calling even though I am on the do not call list.  They are extremely annoying and don't make any sense.

For the last 4 days, Mon - Thurs, I have received and A.M. (Pacific Time) call from this number. The hang up withing 15 seconds. I call back, and receive the same mssg. "We are receiving high volumes of calls… yadda yadda yadda… Who are these people?

THESE PEOPLE CLAIM TO BE FROM AT&T BUT THEY ARE NOT.  DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION.  WE ARE ON THE NATIONAL DO NOT CALL LIST ALSO AND THEY CONTINUE TO CALL

My office gets a call from this number everyday. Same thing they hang up when I answer, then I call it back and they are ALWAYS experiencing a high call volume. What the hell can we do about this?
