these guys keep calling our general message line at my work non-profit agency. always leave a message along the same lines, about cars, warranties and road side assistance. at first i thought they were trying to call for whoever had the number before us b/c we recently got this number. now i think they are just a scam. they obviously don't listen to the answering machine message. their message is probably prerecorded anyway, because they leave only half a message.

i just called the phone company they said the only way to find out about the company (they know its a scam) but the only way to find out who they are and report them to the federal trade commission is to *57 them when they are the last number to call your house. This will cost roughly $5.00 to do and you must do this 3 times before the federal trade commission will look into it. Generally the scam is being run from another country so the chances are slim to none but they may be from someone in this country and then they will look into it. So its up to you if you want to pay. What really sucks is that the phone company knows its a scam but they dont do anything because then they'd lose money on not only the 877 number but all the lovely peeps like us who want to track them down.

yeah my car warrenty probably expired many years before they came into business.they started calling once a week and when i finally picked the option to be taken off of the call list...i now receive calls 3 times a week.b*****ds.i'm calling my phone company and reporting them.

I have had the same problem with these guys.  They won't identify the name of the company, they just say "we are privately owned".  I did not receive a card in the mail from them.  When I asked if the dealer had given them my number, they would not answer.  They continually hang up when you return the call and try to get some information from them.  I have received a number of calls from them.  I suspect they are some sort of warranty scam.

EXPIRED,FOR ME TO TAKE OUT ANOTHER WARRANTY AROUND 600.00 WILL BE BILLED TO MY CREDIT CARD.FIRST OF ALL, I DON'T HAVE A WARRANTY ON MY CAR,MY CAR IS COMPLETELY PAIDED OFF. CALLER SAYS I HAVE IGNORED STATEMENTS IN THE MAIL ASKING FOR PAYMENTS. I NEVER,NEVER RECIEVED ANYTHING IN THE MAIL.MOST USUALLY
THEY HANG UP WHEN YOU ANSWER THE PHONE RATHER LEAVE YOU A MESSAGE.
