This # is for the Chase Mortgage office in Phoenix. My Chase banker gave me this # to assist me on my house payment to remodify the loan. I have been in contact with them on many occasions.  Even though I am no longer behind on my house payment (was able to catch them up) and have since sold my home, they still call and send me paperwork in the mail.  I always talk to a live person.  Some are nice and some just down right rude! Can't get them to understand I no longer need their services and wish they would get their records straight.

Yes......... we've been jerked around by Chase now for 7 months trying to modify our mortgage.  I've decided that I no longer want my house because of the undue added stress Chase is putting on us.  There is absolutely no reason why it should take 7 months and still have no answer. They tell you they want to keep you in your house but they really don't.  I think they make a commission on how many months they're "working" on your modification.  Every other bank takes 2-3 months tops.  I would just like to know who to file a complaint with but then again, I'll leave it up to Chase to sell my house.  In the meantime I'll rent a storage facility to keep my stuff in and I'll just keep the bare minimum so when the sheriff comes to padlock the house, I won't care!

Called asking to speak to someone then almost immediately changed the name. When I asked for the last name she said "Perez" then ""Ruiz." I asked her to hold and she waited on the line for maybe 30 seconds before hanging up.

If this was a legit call, they would have been more clear in who they wanted to speak with and have had more intentions to speak with them rather than hanging up. The calls that come into this office like this are all cold calls.

The person that was asked for is not in today so I asked who was calling the the lady hung up on me.  This is a bussiness., if  CHASE thinks it is okay to call here then the place of employment for the peSron they were calling for, then I think it is okay to asked who she is with. DO NOT CALL OUR BUSINESS AGAINAND HANG UP IN OUR EAR!

I can tell you it is Chase.  We applied for a modification in October 2013 and as of today April 21, 2014 we still have no answer. I told them point blank that they're not working to help us in any way.  Not my fault my husband lost his job and wasn't working for 9 months. How do you expect to stay afloat? I've given up. After 6 months and still no answer and too many sleepless nights worrying, they can have the damn house.

It is Chase. They we're calling me regarding my request for information about a loan mod. The rep either wants you to re-fi, short sale or forclose. I guess she gets some commission. I decided to take no action, but she calls me all the time. This despot the fact I faxed and called her that I wasn't going to do anything. They probably want to make sure I can pay. I'm a little nervous now as I think they would forclose if they could. My advice don't get involved unless you really need to do something.

I am sick and tired of people claiming this number is a "scam".  It is not. This is Chase Mortgage.  I have a mortgage with them.  They called me because they didn't have my payment processed in the system though I paid it 2 weeks prior to the due date.  I called them, gave them my payment confirmation number, and they found the payment in the system and made a note that it was paid prior to calling me.  End of problem.

Just got a call from this number left as a message and I called immediately thinking it was credit card fraud or something and it was actually for mortgage and HE.   We were denied a few months back for modification but they called as if there was a reason to call, change etc.  I unfortunately gave SS# out, she placed me on terminal hold and then did come back to the line saying it was a mistake that they called...  I can only hope it is Chase bank and not something else.    I am so much more careful ususally but they will ask and I am amazed at my own stupidity...  Check all numbers out before calling back..  UGH!!!!  SO Unfuriating!!!

Have you applied for a modification, short sale or DIL? They only call what numbers your provided on this application or when you originally got your mortgage because that is number that you must have listed.

All he has to do is answer the phone and tell them not to call at work and they should remove his number.

Hello all...this number is JP Morgan Chase. They just called my phone and my wife's. In our case, its for a loan modification that they finally approved after 10 months. They call and they have to ask for your Name, address and last 4 of SSN to verify you. Per FDCPA regulations they have to do this to talk to you.

What you can do (wife says this is what she tells customers) is ask the phone rep for the customer service number for the department that is handling your account.

They will not be able to tell you the reason for the call unless you can be verified. Trust me... I have worked in Loss Mitigation for over 10 years.

CHASE BANK

They verify if you give them a bogus number by testing it from their system.

I forward calls from land line to CF, if I am on phone.
I was on phone with them yesterday, they verify call even when you are on phone.
I bag them by saying they just called my phone from #.....they get embarrassed to have been caught doing it.

Never ever forget they are a CREDITOR, and ANYTHING you say is used.
They track times you call them, and start calling daily around that time.

I started getting these calls about a week ago.  The voice mail message stated that it was Chase calling and for me to return their call.  A name, phone number, and extension were left in the voice mail.  I immediately logged in to my web account to make sure that I did not have any payments that were missing or for the wrong amounts.  Everything was up to date.  I have read a few posts on this number  trying to get you to refinance your house.  I really don't want to be bothered by anyone trying to sell something, even if I already do business with them.  Anyway, I sent a message to Chase through my web mail on my web login and asked for more information on the voice mail that I have received.  It was confirmed by Chase that this is their number and the person's name and extension were correct in the voice mail.  With apologies they confirmed that they called me in error.  Anyway, I think that this phone number may handle refinance or loan payment assistance.  I received another call from them today but no voice mail.  ugh.  LEAVE ME ALONE!!!

I just recieved a message from this number. I have never had a chase account and my phone number is not listed. The message said nothing about who they were trying to contact but to call back with an extension. When I called back the person on the line said emmediately that that person at that extension was not there and he would help me. They wanted my SSN  and name right off the bat. Since I never had an account with them there is NO way they should be able to get my cell number without knowing my name. This is a Scam in my opinion.

That's what the checking and savings said side to me too. But when I called the Home loan side with the number off of my mortgage statement, I found it was legit. They even read me the notes where the idiot who called me said I refused to cooperate. Would you cooperate with someone who called you didn't ask for you by name and want your home address? Mind you, she didn't offer her name either. Not that it would have mattered.

In this day an age, you can never be to careful. It's expected for you to give sensitive information when you call them. And when they call you what is wrong with them saying why they're calling? At least the area of why; Re: Your mortgage, checking account, etc. The way their going about this is a black eye and on Chase. They should recognize people are cautious too.

I agree, It is Chase. I just found out their dumb a***s are legit. I have no problem verifying information with them when I call them. And they should be able to tell me what they're calling for when they call me. Not insist that I verify my personal information with them. Information they should already have. They didn't even ask for me by name. When I answered just started talking, said: "I'm calling from Chase, can you verify for your address for me?" They could have been talking to anyone. I've filed a complaint with Chase and the Attorney General before I realized it was Chase. Whose more likely to be doing the scamming or fraud? The person making the call or the one being called?

I know this number by heart and it is Chase Mortgage as I went through a modification. I cannot say if some scammer is not using technology to list that number on my caller ID. That is done. Just call the number back and then you will know it will connect with Chase. I have received 2 calls but no message to date. When I was working with them a message was always left with the rep. I was assigned to.
