Here's a text message that I received on 7/18:

From: 877-502-6923@banking-notifications.com

Welcome to Banking Help-center. Call now free: 1-877-502-6923 and follow instructions... I called it and it asked me to enter my account number. I wasn't about to enter ANY of my known account numbers, so I just entered 1-15 to see what it would do. It responded back that the # was unknown.

My wife and I got a text message at around 9:40pm mountain time. From a 502 number saying that ( Federal Credit Union Alert: Your Card has been DEACTIVATED. Please contact us at 877-420-6708 to REACTIVATE.) None of us have a Federal Credit Union account, so I believe it is a Scam!

Same scammers are also using 877-502-6923 and 877-362-4038.
These text messages come as E-notes thru T-mobile and T-mobile seems not to care in stopping these unwanted scam callers.

Got the same message on 7/18/10.  I also got a phone call from a local number and although I have an outgoing message that clearly says my name she left a message calling me Laura and said she was returning my call from my bank regarding trouble getting into my on line banking.  That number was 972-369-1187 a reverse search on Google indicated an empty parking lot as the know address.  I hope this was helpful.

Received the same Text on Sunday July 18,2010 @ 6:12 PM.  Bankers and most real people do not work on weekends and certainly not on Sunday. These scammers are using these numbers also:
888-855-6234, 682-200-3005, 888-870-3289, 817-752-0506, 813-862-0448 and 877-359-4815.
Report and block the numbers from getting to your phones. They are scammers looking for your information.

Received text message from this number on 7/19/10.  Called from landline to see what company it originated from.  No company, but an automated message requested a card number.  I did not put any number in and waited for a 24 hour customer service representative which never came on.  I hung up and sent a "STOP" reply to text as previously advised by my cell phone company to do any time an unwanted message is received.  Stay on your toes...

Received this message, 877-502-6923@banking-notifications.com/ Welcome to Banking Help-center.  Call now free and follow instructions.  When called, recording said that my credit card we de-activated and to re-activate enter in my card number.  I honestly dont see how anyone could fall for this.  It doesnt even give you a company name that their affiliated with.  BEWARE, BEWARE, typical text spam.

I dialed in and gave a nearly correct card number, omly changing the last few digits and it said invalid card number.  How would they know that? I know it is a scam, I just like to give phony info so they will waste time trying to use the card.

I received the same text message on my cell.  I ignored it.  Seems to me some law enforcement agency would be checking these jerks out since it is evident that it is fraud and a attempt to use someone's credit card.  I am surprised this many people have gotten this phone number and nothing has been done.

Received message from 877-502-6923 to call, did so and put nothing in when asked for my credit card number. Tried to get a customer service agent with no success to ask questions. This an obvious scam and I gave no information. My guardian angels always let me know through "intuition" what to avoid, and this is another.

I received a text message saying, "welcome to banking help-center. Call now free:1-877-502-6923 and follow instructions." I called and it was a machine saying to dial in my card number to activate my card. I did as well as my expiration date and PIN. I realized I dialed in the wrong PIN and the machine said, "congratulations... you've reactivated your card. thank you." I immediately called CHASE because I found it suspicious and sure enough.. they had to cancel my card.
