ESPCA 1-877-528-3499 contacted my mom and told her I had debt I owed.  I have a VERY common name and I'm ticked they are trying to pull this scam on me.  I pay ALL of my bills in a timely manner and it's horrible that people are doing this to honest citizens!

I received a call from 877  517 4381. The caller said it is collecting a debt. I do not own any debt

They called me too-on 12/31 and this afternoon (01/02). I had an eBay account back in 2006 but it was paid up a long time ago. Didn't know who the caller was, so googled the number and ended up here. Blocked with the Mr. Number app for Android.
Wonder how they got our information-did they hack into the eBay database?

The calls comin to me from that number never answers when I pick up called them back for the first time in the 2months they have been calling and it was the "espca"  wtf

Received call this morning with a voice message "this is carrie smith, we are trying to locate Melanie Parish, if you have any information about this person, please call 1-877-517-4381.  Don't know any Melanie Parish.  Still, tried to call back and the voice said the call could not be completed due to network problems.
Recently, got on the national do not call list, can hardly wait until it takes effect.

I also got a message from this number asking if I knew someone, they named the person, with the same last name as me.  I will continue to let them talk to my answering machine as long as they like.  They sound a lot like a dept collection company.

Received a voice message looking for someone I don't even know.  I'm not calling them back. After reading the complaints against them, if they call me again, I am calling the Attorney General, Credit Bureau and anyone else that I can think of.  I am sick and tired of all of these 800 numbers.  Something should be done to change the law to stop all of this harrassment if innocent people.

keep getting a call from this number , i am on both the federal and state no call list , computer voice says they are looking for some body by a name that is garbled and they are gathering information for a collection agency , nobody ever says anything just the automated voice then click

Every time I answer the phone, it's a prerecorded message telling me to call an this number. Every time I call it, I get a recording. I know it's about an old eBay account that was paid years ago (it actually did go late, but is paid now).

A couple of interesting notes for people getting calls about old eBay accounts. This is the third company that has called me about the same debt. The first two I simply went online and printed out my ebay statement showing that I didn't owe anything and they just stopped calling and sending letters.

This particular company has never sent a letter. According to collection laws, are required to send you a collection letter within a certain amount of time of their first phone call to you. If they don't, they are in violation of federal law, and can be sued for up to $1000 per call. If they call you and leave more than one message per day, you can sue them for $1000 per each additional message.

Also, they are allowed to call your family or employers to try to find you, but once they know where you are, or if you have talked to them, then there is no reason for them to call anyone but you, and you can sue them for another $1000 per unwarranted call.

Got a message on my answering machine - I screen all my calls and the important ones have my cell number as that is the number I use as a home phone.  Of course my name is pretty common so they are probably fishing for information.   If it was important they would find another means to get ahold of me I too believe this all leads to some major scams.

Jason...they are NOT scammers, it is a collection agency out of California who needs a good a** kicking...

Got a message on my answering machine looking for someone else that i happen to know from 877-517-4381 i passed on the message now stop calling me.

I also keep receiving calls from them stating that I owe E-Bay $35. I called E-BAY twice and both times EBAY customer service looked back into my records till 2006 and stated that I owe them nothing. If I owed someone $35 I would gladly pay for it - When I did call they tried to strong arm me into giving them my credit card information over the phone - when I explained that Ebay has twice stated that I do not owe them anything they send on the Manager - who goes ballistic if she does not recieve my bank account information that minute - or she will ruin my credit. They don't even have an online secure payment option or a simple Paypal account to protect my personel information - scary stuff.

I am reporting them today to the Better Business Bureau, the FTC, and the Ohio Attorney General's Office - in this great country of America the fact that scammers like this actually exist is unbelievable

They have been calling me also, for two months. Don't owe anything either.

They keep calling me. I finally got a hold of someone and said I owed money to ebay and that I needed to pay it today or go into collections. I have no idea what that was about. Said it was back from 2005. Wanted my personal information SS# and banking info over the phone told them to send me something in the mail and they refused said we sent enough to you and this is going into collection next day . My reply was good at least I will know what it is. I contected the FTC which everyone should do they same. Also contact Ohio Attorney Office.  I have an active ebay account but don't owe anything. I tod if you think you are getting personal information from me over the phone your wasting my time. He said I was rude and wasting his time and hung up. They have called everyone under the sun. Grandparents, Parents, my brother 5 times a day ....

I got a call to with no details on what the call was about. They told my mother that theywas looking for me and they had called my elderly grandma using my last married name with my ex husband. When I called the number back it takes me right back to the leave a voicemail with my name and number

I received a call from the same number saying it was about collecting debt. I have no debt. I also received the same exact computer voiced message from the number: 877-208-4176. I called both numbers and both lead me to same Voicemail, with nothing but leave a message for quest point treasury???? I think that's what it said. this is screaming SCAM!

The only thing they understand is a gooooood cursing out! They continually called me about another guy in my city that I don't even know. I told them to take my number out of their system and they still called. When they called the last time I asked for the supervisor and let him have both barrels. They hadn't called iin awhile but today when I came home I saw where thay had called. What a bunch of idiots. And to make matters worse, the jerks are in India making life miserable for people in America. I wish Pakistan would wipe them off the map.

Received two calls within two weeks with virtually (if not) the same message claiming that the call was not a sales call, and that it was time sensitive.  No other details were given.
