It is Verizon Business Services...the robo call is to get you to call in, either to make a payment...if you are behind. OR, in our case they were calling to notify of additional payment options due to recent merger of TTI with Verizon.

This is actually the collection department branch for Verizon, it is not an advertising agency. If you have a T-1 frame connection or some kind of land line, then you are behind on your payments. You need to call them.

Verizon saying I'm past due.

It is Verizon, but a collection branch of theirs. Our company has several accounts with Verizon but they're all paid, a couple are in dispute. After waiting on hold for 5 minutes they asked me for my account number, I asked which one, they said the one that's past due... I said you have to give me more than that! I said I would take it up with my Verizon Account Rep and ended the call.
It's a legitimate Verizon Collections number.

A slammer utilizing robocalls. They will attempt to get you provide your phone number as well as confirm your first and last name under the guise they can not discuss an account with you. The problem is they do not have the account and is strictly an effort to manipulate the verification process. They will refuse to add numbers to a do not call list.

Yes I have received a recorded call from Verizon saying they need me to call back to verify information regarding the phone line and it's extremely important. I have not called back. I've received two of these in the last three days.

Same thing, Verizon called saying they needed to talk w/ me about this number...that this was 'a very important call.'
I didn't call ... I googled the phone number ... found this site.
Not bothering to call those used car salesmen.

You were not called by the real Verizon, you were spammed.
| Craig Smith 2013-01-16 20:35:54 Telemarketer |
It's not Verizon. It is a secondary ripoff telemarketing group that is allowed to sell services pretending to be Verizon. They say they are Verizon but they are not. Right now you can't get through to talk to a human without sitting on hold forever. I guess their marketing strategy is paying off, or they're getting calls from a bunch of ticked off people

Same thing, Verizon called saying they needed to talk w/ me about this number...that this was 'a very important call.' Probably only important to Verizon. Only reason I returned the call is because we just moved into a new house but brought our Vonage phone number with us. But wanted to be sure Verizon wasn't screwing with our service somehow.
So, after holding for 8 plus minutes, the person atVerizon had no record of us or our phone number! A***s! Verizon should be sued for leaving messages that states Verizon is calling to verify info regarding this telephone line. It is extremely important that you return our call.'
It's a flat out lie. I've reported them to the SEC and TX Atty General Abbott. This is crap.

The guy left a message said he was from Verizon and needed to talk to me concerning my phone line
