I got a call saying I owed a payday loan.I had used payday loans.But I paid them in full.I got emails for a year or so.I responded 1st that I didn't know Company.they kept emailing.I responded that they should send me a letter regarding this matter.No letter.More emails.I responded "tell me specifically which  Loan company.They finally did.I again checked and had paid this loan off.Requested no more emails,I get a call,that says Processor.Stupidlly,I answer.They have all my info,tell me if don't pay I'll go to court.Say coz it's payday loan fraud can be attached.For various reasons scared the hell out of me.I send copy of old statements.They say,its probably this one.I am running out of phone minutes I can afford.So stupidly,I agree to pay.Pay once.Then I take days and days to rechck loans.No unpaid loans.Mind you,this was from 4 years ago.I have requested again,Send me Initial loan,date,amount of bad chk,(date I supposedly didnt pay).Nothing by mail.They sent emails as verification.But never in mail.

I just got this call today. Ms Miller left a message on my voicemail stating that this was a legal matter with my last 4-digits of my SS#. I never call any number back that I'm not familiar with. And if it's that important for me to call you back, give me the company you work for and tell me what this debt is for. As far as I know, I DON'T HAVE ANY DEBTS!!!

They called me from a 713 area code and left the 877 number for me to call them back. Neither number you can call and get an actual person. It's an automated answering machine that says to leave personal information. They even leave very obvious fake names like in my case Mike Davis and make it sound like you're in legal trouble. They said if I don't call back that they will be stopping by my home and place of work, like to see them try that. I doubt they know where I work or live. TOTAL SCAM!! DON'T FALL FOR IT!!

Call your bank and stop the payments, and I would request a new card while you have them on the phone.

Got a call from this number: 877.528.5105 telling me I was going to be prosecuted for check fraud, theft, attempt to defraud..... all these crimes they said were felonies in my state.  Couldn't tell me where the debt originally came from.  Stupid me believed them and set up payment arrangements.  Now they have my card info.  Taking 510 and then 560 out.  Even sent me an email but it still didn't include where the debt came from.  Now I'm seeing all these scams wish I'd seenthis sooner.

Did they say what it was in reference to?
