Called my cellular - no message - I don't return calls that don't leave messages -

Demand a legitimate, physical address in which to send a cease communication letter (VIA certified mail with return receipt requested). If they refuse, let them know you will be seeking legal counsel who will get it for you.

These people keep calling my number looking for someone that I don't know. I've told them this on several occasions and they were supposed to delete my number from their phone records.

I keep getting calls all hours of the day and half of the night. This is very disturbing and annoying. I want them to stop calling my phone number.

877-531-4007 called, asked for Kelly, and then hung up.  No contact info, nothing.

They have called 3 times looking for someone named Cris Coldwell, or that what it sounds like.
I don't know who they are looking for or why they call me.
I got a Panasonic telephone that allows me to block up to "Call Block" up to 30 numbers.
It works GREAT!!!  Now when they call, it rings once and then they go away and have to listen to a recorded message.  Panasonic model kx-tga642 or Panasonic KX TG4031
So much easier and faster than complaining to the state or Feds.
NO, I don't work with, supply, sell any Panasonic or related products or own Panasonic stock.

Debt Collector!  

At first, they had no information on me other then my name and a wrong social security number.  When they asked to verify I was stupid enough to give them my correct one trying to show they had the right name, wrong person, wrong SS number so they corrected their records and want to collect on a medical bill for a county I've never been to and yes, they do nag alot!

Now they just say, we have the correct information on you so it has to be you!  Daaa "I was the a** who gave you the info".

Lesson learned.

P.S.  Yes, everyone is correct that it is illeagle and considered herrassment for them to keep calling after you tell them not to but they still do.  I've told them they had the wrong person and to take it to court if they wanted to collect.  Never a court summuns, just annoying calls trying to get me to pay someone elses debt.  Not to mention you can't collect on a debt for someone after a 3 year statute since last contacted which by their records it's a 7 year old debt for someone other than me.  Ummm, even if it was me it's no longer collectable.

Get the name of person you are speaking with and their extension first then just tell them to remove your number, its the LAW, they have too! if they don't then contact https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/  good luck

come on now, they dont call 15 times a day. once a day, perhaps everyday, but not 15x a day. why not pick up the phone and find out what they want. then either resolve or tell them to remove your #. Easy as that.

you have been put down as a contact number for the person they are looking for.  Just tell them to remove your #. By LAW they MUST remove # - takes 24-48hrs to remove from computers.

Would cost me more time and money than what the court would award.

That's funny that they say jail, considering that any debt is a civil issue; not a criminal issue.
What century are these people living in?
Our country does not have debtors prison for @ 200 years.

Contact the Attorney Generals office, you'll have a better chance of getting something done.

Refusal to mail proof that you owe a debt and proof that they have the legal right to collect said debt means that you owe the callers NOTHING, per the FDCPA.  Do report them to the FTC, FBI, Dept of Justice and your state's Attorney General.  

If they keep calling, you may want to advise them you're recording all calls, and also keep a log of dates/times they call.  Send them a cease and desist communication letter (lots of templates online) disputing the debt as valid, stating you've asked them numerous times for the legally required proof with no result, and letting them know that your attorney (even if you don't have one yet) will be suing THEM for multiple violations of the FDCPA.

These people are something else they blow my phone up even after I said if there is a debt send me some info on it. Instead they are full of threats and want credit card numbers.......are these people high or something......all's I ask for is proof send it to me yet they won't.........I know I know I have no bad depts for a fact because I signed up for a credit report and with a credit score of almost 800 I don't think so these people are con artists..............

I've filed numerous BBB complaints against World Recovery Services 701 International Pkwy Suite 100 Lake Mary,FL 32746 for the same thing making Old Debt Collection calls for someone else we do not know. They responded by stating they would stop these calls, which stopped for 2 weeks then started right back up again going on a year now.Filing a Clearwater BBB complaint will do NOTHING and neither will filing a FTC complaint against these SHADY Debt Collectors. The FTC now forwards you to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau which does absolutely NOTHING too, it takes them 3-4 months to respond back stating they cannot act on your complaint on any Debt Collector even though you have all kinds of information. In a nut shell they're all passing the buck on Old Debt Collection FDCPA Violators letting them do whatever they want to do. Just want to pass along this information before you go through the same waste of time I have been going through.

This collection agency calls my house every single day asking for a person and are trying to collect debt. This guy named Michael is REALLY rude and is always threatening my mom telling her she will be going to jail for covering up for this person. They call every single day. I am reporting them to the BBB.

Called and left a message. Message consisted of music playing and thats it.

Same thing happened to me, when I answered all that I heard was music and than a hangup.
