I received a text message from 877-544-8184 saying that I'm at the movie theater with my profile icon attached to this number. Not certain what's going on but it appears they have my google profile and used it to send a text message  The number is now blocked from my phone

Robo call that hung up after I answered.  Blocked number after reviewing all of the helpful notes.

Audit and Adjustment Debt Collector

Called me five times I called back said it was audet collections.  This is silly

received 2 calls within 3 hours...they left no message. I signed up for the do not call registry a couple months ago. not sure how or why i still get random calls.

Check if you're "judgment proof".  If u are they must remove the debt and cannot put on your credit report.  This means little to no income, property etc.  Ask hospital for a charity form.  

bottom line they can't get a judgment.

I called back on a landline, put in the 10 digit TracFone they were calling got the name of the past owner of the number and informed them that, that person no longer owned that number and that TracFone recycles numbers... got a thank you will remove it.

For me, this is likely legit. I do owe a medical bill but cannot currently afford to pay it.
But, I also don't trust just giving someone my financial info to pay it. :(

I received a call concerning an amount they claim I owe Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale. They had called me some weeks ago about it and I asked them to send a bill. I have not received a bill as yet and they called again today and I conveyed that information and the guy there said he could not spend any money on re-sending a copy of the bill. I told him it was not that expensive to print a copy of a bill and to put a stamp on an envelope and mail it to me. I am an honest person and I will honor bills that are legitimate but I cannot pay it unless  I know hat I am paying.

Called again didn't answer no message.

They called today looking for my old au pair, who is back in her home country. The guy was weird and cagey, and said he would take my number off his list after i explained that she was no longer in this country. I said I would pass the information along, but really I don't want to bother her.

After reading the other responses here I realize it makes sense that this would be a debt collector. Our au pair went to a medical clinic once in the year she was here. She had insurance, but we knew the insurance wouldn't cover the whole amount and were expecting to get a bill that never came. Perhaps they had the wrong address or just sent it directly to collection. Or maybe our au pair got the bill and didn't tell us. In any case, she's gone and I don't think it's my problem anymore.

I don't understand why these debt collectors have to be so cagey and weird. They always sound like scam artists, but I guess that's partly how they work- to get paid they have to scare people into giving them the money. But if they are legit they should at least be able to provide some details. One time a collection agency called us for legitimiate purpose and I was convinced it was a scam from the way the guy was acting. I only realized it was legit after calling our medical provider and learning that we hadn't paid a bill in time so they did in fact turn it over to the collectors.. just an oversight on my part.

I got a call from this number today, played "20 questions" and when I wouldn't give any information hung up, they wouldn't give any information to me...does anyone know who this group is or what they're after? I'd like to report them for harassment

This number calls me day after day and month after month.  I finally
Answered and heard a recorded voice saying "please continue to hold."
Infuriating harassment.

First they called my cell phone, then when I didn't answer they called my work phone. I answered after only one ring at work, and when I said hello, they hung up. So suspicious!

When they call, "wake up call" appears in caller id. Answered but no one there.

This company is for audit and adjustments. ( if you look it up its a bill collector dept)
When you call them back no one every answers the phone to tell them they have the wrong number or to quit calling. When you actually do answer they place you on hold and then hang up.  Going straight to the attorney general in my state to report them, as many of you all should do as well.

They called saying my first and last name I didn't say if it was me but he was persistant on geting me to confirm that I am who he asked for then I asked where are you from? He said audit and ajustment .....I laughed and said have a good day....click

One call this morning.  Told me to wait 3 seconds and then played heavy metal music at which time I hung up.  Usually dont answer unknown numbers but was expecting a call and didnt know that #.

i called the the number 877.544.8184 back is it states "You have reached a non working number. probably a scam or something.

i called that number back to verify that is was the audit and adjustment company and lake stevens is correct it is a debt collector called audit adjustments they called my work place for someone i didnt answer.

Called this number yesterday as I keep getting numerous phone calls. Asked to speak with a manager. I explained to her that I do not have outstanding bills, but if I truly owed them money I would like to see a bill. The manager then went off the deep end, yelling at me saying "We have sent you numerous bills with no response. We will not send you a bill, if you have not received the ones we sent that is something you need to take up with your post office!" I, in return, said "Obviously I don't owe you a god damn thing if you can't send me a f***ing bill." and I hung up. This is a scam and if not someone needs to learn how to run a business.

How hard it is for them to provide a bill if you truly do owe money? SMH

Have been getting calls from this number, they never leave a message. Answered it today and they are trying to collect a debt from 2 years ago for something I have no clue and have never heard of. I have no outstanding debts, so that is why this seems fishy to me. When I asked for a bill to be sent so I have hard proof before giving any money or giving out my card number the woman proceeded to tell me that a bill has already been sent. HA sure it has, so I hung up.

Sounds like a scam to me

This number calls me periodically. Last time I answered,got a lady on the phone saying I owe money for lab work I had done. I told her that if they wanted money, then I need a bill. She told me that the lab sent out 2 bills and her company has sent out 1...they were not going to send another. Then she asked how I wanted to pay the bill. I informed her that without proof, I was not giving her any payment information...send a bill or no payment. She told me that if I didn't get a bill then I need to speak with my post office and THEY need to fix the problem, she was not having anything sent to me. She wanted to give me an address so I could mail in the money, but beings I just had had surgery on my arm, I can't write. She got very upset and yelled. I'm sorry... If you are trying to collect money for a past due bill...send the information requested and NEVER yell at the person that you expect payment from... It's called Customer Service!

Keeps calling but leaves no messages....irritating.

I called them back. The Company is audit and adjustment company out of Lynnwood Washington. They are likely trying to collect legitimate debts.

THEY HAVE CALLED MY NUMEROUS TIMES AND I WAS NICE AND DEALT WITH THEIR BS AND EVERYTHING. THEN 2 MONTHS LATER SOMEONE CALLS ME AND TELLS ME THAT I OWE EVEN MORE MONEY. ARE YOU F'ING SERIOUS?! I TOLD HER THAT I WANTED PROOF AND SHE SAID THAT THEY HAVE SENT NUMEROUS LETTERS OUT... REALLY?! I HAVEN'T GOTTEN ANYTHING!!!! THEN SHE STARTED YELLING AT ME SAYING THAT I NEEDED TO COOPERATE OR ELSE.. REALLY? THEN I TOLD HER THAT I WAS GOING TO CALL MY LAWYER AND HAVE HIM HANDLE THIS, AND THEN SHE REALLY FREAKED OUT.  HATE THIS F'ING COMPANY, NOTHING BUT A F'ING SCAM!!!!!!!
