Wow, I just got back and almost had the same experience. I almost signed up because the sales person went down on the price to only about $3000! I backed out because "if it's too good to be true it probably is" kept ringing in my mind. Well, when I decided to not purchase the package, the sales associate made a rude comment and I just got up and left. Funny, he asked me if I still wanted my free trip. I said "no" and kept walking out the door!

I responded to a MAILED offer for 2 RT tickets calling the 877#. Made an appt to see the presentation at 1425 Tri State Pkwy #130, Gurnee, IL.

I was given a contact phone from "Kelly" 866-213-2799 x158 when the appt was made and I gave her my junk email address to send the confirmation to.

I received the confirmation email from yet another gal, Heather Pierce, Confirmation Mgr, h.pierce@traveldealsxpress.com:

"You have been offered a special gift in exchange for your time in attending the open house. You will rec'v 2 RT airline tickets valid anywhere in the continental US to a major international airport. This offer is in consideration of your time for previewing the wholesale travel agency.
This is NOT A TIMESHARE. It is a full-service travel agency which specializes in luxury accomodations, cruises and travel pkgs. You will not be obligated to buy, sign or join anything.
The open house will include a brief presentation on the services offered in a relaxed, casual atmosphere. This is NOT OPEN TO THE PUBLIC and is by INVITATION ONLY. Non-transferable.
Please respond to this email to confirm your appt or call me at 866-213-2799.

My husband & I went last night to their "open house". It lasted 1.75 hrs.

They took the mail piece that had the confirmation # on it, and when I asked for it back, she said no. Then we sat through a presentation w/ "Dawn", highlighting everyones "dream" vacation, estimated budgets for those trips "your way", and then she presented "our way".

Their pitch was that they were filling empty unused rooms in resorts. Bottom line, $11,900 lifelong, transferable membership. $389 per year maintenance fee (optional-depending upon usage) and 6 weeks @ $189 per week in any of their resorts plus additional fees depending upon how far in advance you book. Add $199 per week if you book w/in 60 days.

Then comes in the VP asking questions about where can you find anything like this... etc. Absolutely NO PAPERWORK was given to us with any information regarding this company. Only an 8x11 laminated sheet for us to view the package which were promptly collected at the end of the presentation. As I recall the name of their company was "TRAVEL CONNECTIONS."

Then we were asked to go w/ their sales associate where he pitched the membership options. We could lower the price of the club membership by going down to 3 weeks or 2 weeks or 1 week. They did offer down payment and monthly payment options. We did not consider purchasing. We were only there for the free airfare.

Then "THE CLOSER", Beth came in to seal the deal, and she proceeded to get OFFENDED by my resolve and lack of giving in under pressure. Funny how once they determine you are not going to sign their attitude shifts to disrespect for you, and complete disregard for the "special gift". It was almost as if the free airline voucher gift was disgusting to her... "we have NO affiliation with that prize and YOU WILL PAY all the fees. Okay. : )

So while they are "processing" our airline voucher the original sales associate comes back with a FINAL offer. No thanks. Then he hands us a printed brochure from "FLY AMERICA VACATION PASSPORT". We must send in the request along with $4.95 processing fee.

We were then ESCORTED out the back door all the way to our car. It was creepy. Obviously, they had you in a controlled environment from start to finish, and made sure you had NO communication w/ any of the other guests on your way out.

HERE ARE THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE FLY AMERICA OFFER:

http://vacationpassportfaq.com/fly_america_vacation_passport.htm

The free airfare will in the end cost: $50 per ticket Registration Activation Fee + $59 per ticket processing fee, AND ANY APPLICABLE SURCHARGES + $4.95 original processing fee.

Has anyone ever redeemed these? Just curious. I'm going to send the five bucks and see what happens. I'll report back how it goes.

We live in N IL.

yup, just got the exact same call from this number and they left a VM telling me I won a free 2 person trip to the airport and a free 7days, 8 night cruise with Carnival cruise lines. (I have been on 5 cruises with them, but I know this is fake) All I had to do was call them back. They said it was not a time share and no obligation...bla bla. This is a SCAM. I have heard of other friends of mine getting these calls, one I was standing right next to and they want LOTS of money from you. I am in Indiana btw. Don't be fooled by these telemarket BS calls.

I called the number back because I have indeed entered contests similar to this.  However, the woman on the phone said you must be married or living with your partner, over the age of 28, and have a household income of over $45,000 a year.  I am none of those things, so why would I enter their contest?  Sounds like a scam.

I just recieved this call yesturday.  This number called my business phone and I don't use it for any use other then business.  The company identified themselfs as International Incentives, Inc.  I went to the site and they create promotional Items for companies.  Which leads me to believe it is a pitch for a company or product that you have to commit to before you get the trip.  by the way I live in WI.

This is a scam. Report this company for misrepresentation. Try not to list reasons why it seemed illegitimate. Those comments can help the company revise their scam. Do not call number because then you are indirectly confirming your number is valid. Most times these are phishing attempts.

Event Reminder
We got this call as well, and it sounded tempting to sit through some promo thingy to get a free trip out to Seattle to see some friends, but after reading this, NO THANKS.

We are in Chicago, the number they got is a T-Mobile number with a 414 area code (Milwaukee) and they wanted us to go to 1425 Tri-State Parkway suite #130 in Gurnee, IL with no obligation to purchase anything.

Hooray for the internet and scam-hounders like others who have posted here.

I have since registered the 414 number on the Do Not Call Registry.

Also, we are not married, have not entered any contests, and the lady was waaaayy too excited about a gas card and a free trip to anywhere in the continental US.

I also found this PDF online:
http://www.yourvacationtour.com/GurneeILCOM.pdf

And they wanted us to come out on Wednesday, December 1st, 2010.

I got the same exact call out of Milwaukee, WI back around the beginning of October. I never called it back however...been down that same road with other travel scam jobs...same call back number of 877-591-1660 as well.

We all know it's a farce, scam, BS, etc. If it were really something THAT serious as a real legit prize, you would [probably] be receiving confirmation via a fully paid first class package with an attached return receipt voucher that has to be hand delivered by the postal worker/letter carrier and signed upon delivery by whomever happens to be home (18 and up of course). I used to work for the postal system 10 years ago. I've seen legit prize letters here and there.

To get a call on you home phone or cell phone and there is no paperwork to back it up? Yep...definite scam job!!!

This is a total scam.  My son works for Marriott and they have never put their rooms out there with another company for free.  STAY AWAY!!!  If it seems too good to be true it usually is.  We own timeshares, but we have NEVER paid what most people do when they go to a presentation.  There are better ways to travel!!

This group is being sued by the Atty General of Mass.  You can go on their web site and find out who to send information regarding this scam.   We also bought into it.  we hounded our credit card company for almost a year to get a refund and just recently were notified that they were crediting our account.

Do not respond to this call. Seriously any company, agency etc. that calls your personal cell number that they got from some list is always too good to be true. If the deal was that good, they would not need to steal cell phone numbers and call them to get the word out about their "amazing, exclusive" deal. It is BS. If you do anything report it to the BBB or some other authority. Anyone who posts on here that they tried it and it was a real deal, they are liars.

I too live in WI and received a call yesterday on my cell.  The number came up as restricted, so I let it go to voicemail.  The message stated that I had entered a sweepstakes last year and my name had been pulled. The woman on the message had said that I had won roundtrip airfare for two from the nearest airport to any major US city in the continental United States, a 2-night/3 day stay at any Marriott Hotel, a gift certificate to an Olive Garden or Bahama Breeze, and a $50 gas card.  They also promised that there was no catch to this and it was not a timeshare.  Also, you had to reply within 24 hrs to 1-877-591-1660.

I thought this was too good to be true.
