I talked to Michael Thomas owner of Mama Ronis Pizza in Ft Collins. He said, "If you had a legitimate product you wouldn't have to telemarket it." I tried to explain how immature his attitude was but he just hang up on me - another sign of immaturity. If anybody is looking for a pizza, I would not suggest you go to Mama Ronis - any thing cooked by such an immature person can't taste that good - he might spit in your food for spite -especially if he didn't like the way you made your honest living - I'd bet he has friends who deal dope to teenagers and he thinks that's a decent way to make a living -anyhow, this is the kind of person who takes the time to mis-use a website like this. Is all he would have had to do is say he wasn't interested and let it go at that - I would have marked him NI and gone on to the next call. But he felt the need to vent his problems and he figured since I was a telemarketer (in his eyes) he could say what ever he wanted to to me - well, baby's cry when there' nothing wrong - grow up!

I have been in business 9 years. I average 720 calls/wk meaning I have made over 324,000 calls!
323,989 of those calls have been business-like, sometimes humorous, all with positive results.
This proves 11 out of 324,400  OR  0.000034%  people take the time to contact this website to try to slander me and my clients.
If you read the complaints about me please notice I was not abusive, vulgar, or threatening.
Being a professional - I do not to leave important  information intended for owners with  employees as instructed by my clients.
True, I do call until I either contact the owner or am told the owner is not interested in my client's service - that is what I am paid to do. I have learned not to say ?No? for the client. Each successful call may be worth hundreds of thousands of dollars to both the owner and my client! Still, I have also learned how to take ?No? without rancor.
I always end a call, regardless of the outcome with, "Thanks, I appreciate your time and your friendliness." and I mean those words.
I have great respect for receptionists and in 323,989 calls I have been given the time and opportunity to let them know that.

Thanks for replying to my reply. This is a reply to someone else but I think most of it it applies to you as well.
    It is easy, very easy, for someone to criticize another person's efforts.
    What is a person who criticizes a specific person for the deeds of a group of people?
    Here are my facts.
    Read them and hopefully you will come to understand I am a very good person who has raised three very decent children, two are nurses and my son is a straight ?A? engineering student, and am doing something honest and worthwhile to feed my family, who just happened to call someone who has a problem with telemarketers.
    I started my business, calling ?Business To Business? for my wife so if I die prematurely she won't have to go on welfare (become an Obama-nite). I do not call people in their home. A business is in business to do business and, as such, has a telephone in order to conduct business.
    I wrote the software that runs my company (that's right ? I own a software company too!) and I have a routine that keeps accurate track of every phone call designation including one for those who ask me to take them off my list, ?XX?. Of the  324,000 plus calls I have made only 16 business owners, who were probably having a bad day or week, found it necessary to call me back (on my toll free number) to have me take their number off my list.
    I am constantly on the phone that shows up on caller ID (which I do not take off on purpose ? I want those I call to know who I am) which is why I have a toll free number for business owners to call me back on. I do not want them to waste their time or money trying to get a hold of me. It just makes good business sense to do it that way.
    As noted, I call B-2-B for my clients. I am in Arizona. I have clients in every state of the union. How else can I provide my expertise without using the telephone? If you can show me a better way, I'd be happy to take it.
    There are hucksters in every type of business but I screen my clients carefully. Each one of them has been in business over 15 years which, to a normal, well adjusted, mature person, is an indication they have a reputable and legitimate product or service. Each has an impeccable reputation and do not deserve to be slandered (by association) in the website. They are a pleasure for me, and those who I call that take advantage of their services, to do business with. I have come to consider them my friends as they do me.     Sometimes I finish a call, then either go get a drink of water, a bite to eat , or go to the restroom and, since I am 65 years old, and have such a bad short term memory I can hide my own Easter eggs, I forget if I designated the call or not. If I didn't the same number is on the screen. If I did, the next phone number is up. It sounds like I just didn't designate your call and called it again after I took a break. In 99.99 percent of these cases the receptionist is more than patient with me, and I always, ALWAYS, thank them for their patience when that happens. I value their time, and have great respect for the job they do.

I will NEVER call a telemarketer back!  EVER!

If I cant return a call on the number they called from, they're hiding something.

If they use caller id spoofing or other software intended to disguise the origin of the phone number, they're hiding something.

If said business had a reputable and legit product, they wouldn't have to resort to telemarketing.

If said telemarketer feels the need to go on a message board to "defend himself"..........

I was having a horrible day.
I'm afraid I was short with him.
He simply said, "Sounds like your having a rough day," then said, "Me too, it's Monday," is (the owner's name) in?"
I rudely pointed out the fact it was Wednesday.
He said, "Is that so, then I'm having a great day!"
That made me laugh.
Mr Vellatti's call made my day!
He was funny, hilarious even, and when I stopped laughing, very business like.
And as his replies said,
He did say he appreciated my sense of humor, my time and my friendliness.
Perhaps I can ease the concerns of those who take Mr Vellatti's calls.

Same as above- The guy John Valardi was rude and vague about what he wanted. When I asked if the owner was expecting his call he replied "only if he's a clairvoyant". I was polite and said that I would let the owner know he called and he said "oh yeah you go ahead and do that"

I just got a call from John Valarti.  Asked for the owner of our company by name.  Said he was calling on behalf of his client Jim Blaine with Blaine Business Sales.  Wouldn't give any other details.  very creepy vibe from him.

Call from John Valartti on behalf of his client Pat Bentley who is in charge of mergers and acquistitions.  Called and asked for our company's owner by name.  Phone number showed up on caller ID as 520-265-4731 but asked to reply to phone number 1-877-599-4539. Really awkward conversation, left no details and would not say what company he was with or what the phone call was regarding except that he was calling on behalf of his client.

I have no clue who this guy is but he always calls here asking for our owner.  He says he is calling on behalf of his client Barry Marter.  He has been calling for over a year, so if he is trying to get his client a job, he really sucks at it.  this is the number he always asks us to call back.  No one ever will so i wish he would quit.
