your insensitivity is not necessary or needed. It is not constructive, you just intend to sound smug and be mean.

WHEN ANARCHY BECOMES LAY>>>REBELLION BECOMES DUTY!!!!!! -Ghandi

My Father and I have been harassed by Wells Fargo for years. I have been late a few times but usually only three-5 days and never more than 45 days. ( I also called and scheduled out that payment because it would be so late and I knew it already. They turned us onto the credit reporting early for that. They call my Father tell him I'm late, he gets upset, calls me and when I call in they say I'm current. so ridiculous.

I am so happy I found this thread because I was beginning to think I was crazy or just super unlucky.

Online there is always a different amount due. I pay then the next day another amount due. Pay again then again every day!  I call, guess what? ALL CURRENT. When I tell them what has happened on line of=ver the past few days they say is it "so strange but I see here you are all current, actually overpaid!"

Oh REALLY?? DID YOU LISTED TO WHAT I JUST TOLD YOU HAPPENED???? OF course i'm over paid because you KEPT SHOWING A PAYMENT DUE ONLINE EVERY DAY!

I sent several letters begging them to take the unjustified bad reporting off my fathers record and mine too. Every time I get the same standard latter telling me "they looked into the matter in question and the information reported appears to be correct." Witch is true if your just looking to see if a payment was late (not the issue in question), NOT if your being accused of turning it into the credit agency early. They do not eve read their complaint letter fully so they can execute the request correctly. THEY DO NOT CARE.

SWINDLERS! SCHISTERS! ROT IN JAIL! ITS TIME FOR CLASS ACTION PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WHEN ANARCHY BECOMES LAY>>>REBELLION BECOMES DUTY!!!!!! -Ghandi

We must be the change we want to see.  Clearly there is something wrong here. They will not change if we do not make them!

They are heartless and when you make payments they still call. They would call me beginning the day after the due date of payment harassing me about payment. Payments aren't considered late til according to them 10 days after the due date. Now if they don't receive my payment on the due date they call telling me my payment is past due and the supposed past due amount includes the upcoming payment. And if you're unemployed they do not care!! They want you to come up with the money

Yeah, I've never had any loans in my life from this bank, but now they've started calling my cell every day. I've never answered because I did not recognize the number.  This behavior should be criminal.

$599.00 was withdrawn from my Wells Fargo checking account for a student loan purchased from
ConSern dated April, 1999.  Experian shows account in good standing closed and transferred. I was
informed by WF that they could take funds from my account to collect this debt according to primissary note on file.

This call is from Wells Fargo student loans.  They call from 8:00 a.m. until you die.  They are heartless.  No one should do business with them because they will call all day long.  Even if you pay them, they still call.  Do not ever take out a student loan with them.

I get calls from this # (Well Fargo) several times a day. I will pick up then hang up and they will just call again. Once I informed them they couldn't call repeatedly like that, and never told them who I was. I was then told they can call as many times as they want because it is about a debt. Which they are not allowed to do. This company is heartless. They know I lost my job a month ago, and there reply is that they don't care, and that I need to pay this bill. Sorry but I don't need to pay a student loan bill to live. I do need to pay my rent, car, and electric before I even worry about them.

Carrie, you're right. They are VERY heartless. To the person who commented about that we shouldn't take out the loans knowing the interest rates are high...no one is complaining about having to pay the interest. We're complaining about having to make payments when we don't have it. You need money to go to school, hence the loans. You ASSUME that when you get your degree, you will get a job that will afford you to pay loans back. Doesn't always happen that way. While you may get a job, it's not necessarily paying you enough to afford the payments, or you struggle to find a solid one. But, a company should work with you, as long as you're trying to put forth the effort to pay them back (until you are on your feet). WellsFargo is NOT this way. I messed up because I thought they were a good company because they were willing to so freely give me money. And now I know just why...

Well guess what, anybody can go to college, poor, rich doesnt matter. If you have to take out a loan to go, well then that's what you have to do. The problem comes when companies outsource their collections to other third party companies. These other companies are acting on behalf of the lender. They are mostly made up of un-educated small time hourly customer service reps, that know nothing about student loans or college for that matter. They go by what's on the screen in front of them. Even when you are caught up on payments these third party companies may not know it, and have a back log of calls to make. The communication between your lender,3rd party companies and the big 3 credit agencies is terrible. Just fill out the hardship forms or if you are still enrolled in classes the deferment forms or foreberance forms, any form you can find just fill it out and fax them in and make copies for yourself. These agencies that call you are usually not the brightest in the workforce so keep that in mind and don't feel scared by them, it's just their job. It might be wise to record if you can any telephone calls, because they are supposed to follow a certain protocal, if not you can probably take them to court if they threaten you. Probably sue them for the amount you owe, that takes care of that. I have never heard of these companies doing anything but calling and harrassing, i never heard of them taking away assets from people who owe them money, Have you? Either deal with it from a legal standpoint if you can, or change your phone number. Remember don't let them get the best of you, dont get mad at someone that's just doing their measly 8 dollar an hour job, chances are the teleterrorist on the other end of the call is in a way way worse position in life than you are.

Wells Fargo is by far the worst bank ever. They have the worst customer service around. That's why I am glad I don't bank with them anymore. However, I'm still stuck getting phone calls from them because of a credit card and my student loans. I understand I have to pay these debts, but calling my house 5 times A DAY won't solve anything. Not only that, they harrassed my mother by telling her that if they found out I was home they would take legal action against her! I just found this out! Not only that, my brother told me that he told them I wasn't home, and they called like 10 minutes later! I wasn't even home that time- I was at work! What do they expect? Hell, the last time I talked to a representative, they asked me for my work phone number, and I said I won't give that number out! If they call me non-stop at my house, what chances are there that they will call my work non-stop? Highly likely. I can't wait to be able to afford to pay off my debts month by month and then have them all paid in full! After I pay my last payment, I will tell them that they will leave me alone or else I will sue them. It's not fair how they call, but if we all start filing complaints to the FTC, we can get this bank to change the way they handle their bill collecting practices!

I do not even have an account with these people and they are calling my home!  When I returned the call and asked them to remove my number from their system, the operator said I had to wait for a representative to call me so they could do that!  I warned them the next time they call it will be recorded and turned over to the proper authorities.

I was late one month with my payment and since then they are calling me 3 times a week (everything is paid on time since then) and on top of that, they are calling my parents in different state several times a day.  I called them and confront them about harassment they say that they are sorry ?but sometimes take time to take me off there calling list for collection?; that was 6 weeks ago.  I even gave them my cell in case they have problem reaching me.  So now they call me 3 times in a week and every time they say ?ohh, I see on the record that you did not pay? and every time I have to pull out my check book and confirmation number from Wells Fargo Bank that it is paid.  I am so sick of them, that I am seriously considering lawsuit.  Very unhappy paying customer.

I wonder how they deal with account that are actually delinquent! This evening, I answered the phone @ my parents' home and got a recording asking to call back this # regarding a business matter. When my mother called back, without ever identifying herself or where she was calling from, this agent demanded my mother's address and social security #, which my mother (of course) refused to give. The woman then told my mother she must not care if her payments are past due--then, seconds later, said she made a mistake and the account was current. Not only is this loan current, more than the minimum monthly payment is paid each month!!! We only found out who was calling by Googling the # from caller id.

I get phone calls from them constantly. I have even filled out the proper forebearance forms and yet they still do not stop calling stating that I need to pay them. It's horse crap. The first time I got screwed because I was unaware that I needed to fill out these forms, the lady on the phone said that she has taken care of everything for me. Then I get a call from a guy who stated that I needed to fill the form out, that was a month later and ended up having to pay like $150 for the two months...luckily i only borrowed 5000

You will have to verify this information with someone who knows absolutely for a fact that this is true, but I used to work with a woman who had previously done collections and she told me that if you were to offer them a partial payment and they refuse it they are thereby refusing the debt and you are free and clear.  You would have to get the person to get refusal of partial payment to you in writing.  The person who told me this also told me about this loan, which helped me pay some late stuff in college, but in the past 2 or 3 years they have become increasingly difficult to deal with.  Hope things pick up for you.

Refinance your loan with another bank.  We are going with our credit union and they are far easier to deal with.  I've noticed that the people who call not only want the amount for this month but they want you to pay for next month while you are at it.  They have also become extremely rude.

I wish someone had really told me about this kind of student loan from Wells Fargo. THESE PEOPLE ARE HORRIBLE. They refuse to defer my payments even after I told them I had lost my job and was looking for employment. I'm currently a month behind and they call every two hours. It's very frustrating. If only I had the money to pay them off....

I am sorry that I took this loan out for my education. I have been paying for 6 and a half years $240.00 per month on a $15000 educational loan and still have not paid down the principal. I still owe $17000.00. Is the government watching these types of loans. I am not a finance person so I am lost. However I am now retired and only receive Social Security and a small pension. I have asked them to reduce the payment and they will not. The way it looks I will die before the loan is paid off. I no longer answer phones at home. I have no job and they can't touch my Social Security. Take a look @ 78 months @ $240.00 that equals $18720. roughly. When I get to Heaven even God will forgive me. There is something wrong with these types of Loans.

These people refuse to defer my loan even though I am in school right now and they won't make any payment arrangements with me.  They refuse to negotiate or give me a hardship deferment even after I told them I was NOT working and had no income for over a year!  I have no money left and they don't seem to understand that I am living on the kindness of others right now. I've spoken to them and written to them and they send me letters saying that I have not contacted them. Finally found a job that pays only a fraction of what I  used to make and told them what I could pay and that it would take a while to catch up with the bills and they don't care--they want full payment and now I am 2 months behind.  They seem to think that bugging me will produce money somehow...
Students-- DON'T borrow money from these people!!

I am the person who signed the loan, and the loan is in my name, but the agent who is harrassing my mother (who co-signed) and calling her numerous times in the day...gave her a huge attitude, claimed i was never on the loan and that she is the only one responsible for it.  I pay it every month with my loan stub and with my check, but yet the agent was a mega B.... to my mother and didnt want any thing to do with me or my information only to deal with my mom.  If anyone has any helpful advice as to how to get them to stop calling my mother who has a six hour time difference from me, please please let me know. Its not fair to her that they harass her.
