Another scam, got the call today 7-19-13 from Elizabeth Global Premium Group.

I also got the message about being a finalists in a $25,000.00 makeover! The woman's name was Elizabeth the # is(866)283-6613 ext.702. I called the # and got no-one but, an answering machine!! Beware!!!

Thank God I googled what a waste of my time! I really did enter a drawing for the hgtv network home makeover the beging of the year 2013 and for a moment thought this mite be true and something told me to google this Global thing, and im so glad i did because i got a chance to read all of this!!!!!

I also got the same call. I did not pick up, but call back 15 mins later and a message came on saying the number I called is disconnected. It was also from "Elizabeth" ,but the number is 866-283-6613 from Global Premium Group.

the number Elizabeth left on my answering machine was 866-283-6613 ext. 702.  She also left a message that i had entered a drawing for a home makeover worth over $25,000 and she had news for me!

I received the same call from the same person who identified herself as Elizabeth, stating that I have been selected to receive $25,000.00 dollars for home makeover and to call her at 866 283 6613 ext. 702. I actually called and no one answered the phone. I am glad i googled her so called company.

Elizabeth is alive and well and still calling people.  Googled the name and found this site.  Thankful for caller ID.  Called on 8662836613.

So glad I googled "Global Premium Group" before I called ELIZABETH back.  However, her number is now 866-283-6613 x702.  She tells me I"ve been selected for a $25,000.00 home makeover.  I'm on the "do not call" list and am thinking about reporting the company.

Yes, Elizabeth is still calling folks, only now from a new number: 866-283-6613. I belonged to DirectBuy a long time ago. I'm not interested in attending another one of their presentations. Beware.

They contacted me three weeks ago something about verifying our info for a 25K home makeover with Direct Buy. The number is 888-663-6415 ex 322. They told me we were in the finalists and would be having the final drawing on March 28th and picking 5 winners. They called again last week and left a message telling us we won. When I returned the call, the lady told me they were just re-verifying all my information and the drawing was actually next week. When I told her the message said I won, I was redirected to a manager who told me I was "misinformed" and that's not true and we didn't win anything. The manager told me the drawing was December 28th, 2013 not next week (remember his employee just told me next week in April). The supervisor wanted to bully me and tell me everything the people at his company had told me didn't happen, like I made it all up and didn't understand, that I didn't hear what I heard. I think this is total crap.

I just got the same call left on my answering machine today. Elizabeth from Global Premium Group, I applied for this in the last 18 months supposedly, 25,000 dollar Home makeover finalist., need to call her at this number though 866-283-6613 and extension 702. Right after her call I got my second call from someone who claims to be Tim McDuramd from official sweepstakes notification, I supposedly entered for 25,000 dollars and he has great news too, that number is 866-933-6012. Looked it up on the internet and its a big scam! I wish someone would scam the heck out of these idiots! Also a scam going around where they are calling and saying a loved one has been kidnapped or hurt and needs money immediately, has to be sent to Peurto Rico! It makes me sick the way these so called people operate! Especially when they prey on the elderly!

do your homework if you are dealing with Direct Buy. Check the compliant on Direct Buy.

Got this call as well and went to the internet to find out who Global Premium Group is and of course ran across this discussion.

I'm in marketing communications and I despise these folks who use "intrusive" means to connect with folks who then become victims of these idiot marketing folks. This has destroyed the trust of marketing and no body believes any marketing even in today's stupid television commercials.

I wanted to call "Elizabeth" and tell her to find another job rather than demeaning herself to this telemarketing job - so sad and disgusting! I stepped out of advertising and went into corporate communications. There one can't get away with stupid, idiotic commercials/communications - the audience is folks with Masters degrees and PHDs.

Got a call today. It was Elizabeth, but she was from "The Global Premium Group". I too have fillled out an entry form of some sort (when?! I don't remember...), for a $25000.00 home makeover and she has "good news for me!" Hey Rick, what do you consider a "great deal"?

I'm glad the rest of you didn't go!! I just went to the presentation and recieved my key and while it didn't open the chest I did receive a $100 gift card for restaurant.com and a voucher for 2 airline tickets.

The contest is sponsored by Direct Buy. The people we met with were courteous and respectful. While I could see the value in what they offer the time was not right for my wife and I to join. There was not a lot of pressure.

I'm not sure what your time is worth, but for an hour and a half I recieved two airline tickets and dinner out for my wife and I!!

I just got the call myself. Seemed fishy to me. She was way to vague. Glad I looked here

Got the $25K telemarketing "home make over" call today too.  Glad I checked here before calling them turkeys.

By the time I received the same message, the makeover was down to $20,000!

Vonage emailed me a copy of the transcribed msg left in my voice mail:


"Hi, this is Elizabeth calling from the global premium group in regards to an entry form you filled out to win a $25,000 home make over at one of our shopping malls, movie theaters or even online within the last 12 to 18 months, well I do have some good news for you. So give me a call as soon as possible. My telephone number is 877-614-2748. Again my name is Elizabeth and my telephone number is 877-614-2748 ext. 801"

I was not as lucky as the rest of you were.  I only got 25K, instead of $50K or more. :-)

Also got the message from "Elizabeth" about the $50,000 home makeover- I know I didn't enter this one- I don't own a house to makeover- I rent an apartment!!

A Caller said she was Elizabeth from Global Premium Group and had "good news" regarding I contest I may have entered sometime in the past 12 months.  Said something about a $50,000 home makeover.
Based on previous reports about this caller, I am unwilling to sit through a 90-minute presentation.

I received the same message. I don't recall registering for anything like this. I've deleted the call.

Just received a call from Elizabeth at 877-614-2748 saying we were a finalist in the $50,000 DirectBuy sweepstakes we never registered for. We are one of 200 or so finalist. All we had to do was bring the invitation they would email to the showroom and attend a 90 minute presentation. No pressure to join and for coming we would get 2 airline tickets any where in U.S. or a cruise. If the key we get fits the treasure chest we would win the $50,000 makeover. Elizabeth said she was with Global Premium Group. Did a google search for this and nothing comes up. Sure seems to be a scam.
