i got a call from them this morning, they do say they are calling in behalf of black stone financial.  I think it is a fraud cause first of all he said he was working with the county and they called private, I asked are u at the city hall he said yes, I asked for a call back number because they were looking for someone else and he didnt want to give me the number, he said to contact black stone financial.

I received a couple calls from this company regarding a court summons blah blah blah after a few messages i called them back and found out what it was all about. They explained to me that I was "GOING TO BE'  sued if this issue was not handled. Simple point blank I don't know if they are truly collectors or if this is a litigation company at all however they do let you settle on the account " THAT I KNEW I OWED" for a much lower price than what The actual balance is.... Fraudulent...yea maybe a little however they provided me with their tax id number and was ok to tell me that "they purchased the debt"and was very open to giving me the number to "CHASE"  so i c an verify with them who they sold the debt to.. it all kind of made sense in the end My credit score in fact in 30 days did improve stating i paid off the principal balance....The approach they use needs work but they are a legitimate company. Im not on anyone's side here im just putting my 2 cents in

My cousin called me a few days ago stating that the County had called (her cell phone) and said I needed to call them regarding a summons and that if she could not get a hold me that the "authorities" would come to her house to interrogate her.... She was frantic and upset when she gave me the message to call so and so at 877-622-3286 and reference a case number. I called and asked what was going on, and they informed me I was being sued for unpaid credit card debt (that was being disputed directly w/Chase) and that if I had not yet received a summons then I would have time(before 4pm that day) to settle w/out going to court and paying legal fees.I hung up on them when they asked for my information (phone number, address etc).

They called again today; this time they called my step-father's parents house looking for me, and told my step-grandmother the same story about me getting summoned- before I decided to call back, I found this website and other claims of the same harrassment from this company.

I believe if they Court was really trying to get a hlod of me, they would have been able to find me quite easily. This collection agencies tactics are BS.

I received a voice mail that said to call back Tammy Smith at 1-877-622-3286.  They said something about processing and serving and gave a supposed case #.  After reading all of these posts, now I know that they are a fraudulent company.

Blackstone called my ex. He called my daughter who called me and told me about this person who said will send someone within 24 hours. When I called the number, some guy answered "corporate office". I asked what kind of office. He said something about financial. I pretended i got the wrong number but the guy kept insisting to "help" me. He wanted to know my name so I hang up on him.

So annoying. I got a call today from  this number 8776223286 and said it's a law suit against somebody named GUO. It was so scary that I called back and no one answer the phone. Thanks for sharing the information with me. I will have a good night sleep.

Yes this company Black stone (877-622- 3286) have called my house onwer to ask a name she doesn't to know and scared her too, said if house owner no following will be suit to court soon. that made my house onwer so alarmed.

877-622-3286, Blackstone Group, so-call Blackstone Group is a middle eastern company, the caller always use  'summons', ' suit to court' and 'attorneys from a law office' etc. caller use many different position to scared, to terrifying people normal life. As a very public knowledge of the Law, if somebody did something wrong, you can suit this bady to court at any time and any way, but if you use any way to scaring and terrifying this body, relatives, house onwers, employers that is really or already againsted the law.

This company a mid-east voice man and woman call my 88 years old uncle to ask about his son's information, and used same wayto terrfying him many times too, also the name to asked is a his son children time name, after his son went college had been changed at 40 year ago! big problem is caller ask return some money from 88ys father, said if father no respond this case will be suit to court too.

So everybody, be careful and watch this company to protect your peace life.

I wouldn't trust anyone who calls you from this company.  I got an UNKNOWN caller on my cell phone and didn't pick up so some dude left a message.  He was looking for a middle eastern guy with the name Allah "Something" and he gave one of my old addresses.  He said if I didn't call back in the next 24 hours that my information and employer would be verified or some kind of bull crap.  Then he gave me a case number reference.  I hate these identity theft scammers so naturally I called the number he left from a different phone number.  Some younger woman picked up and answered the phone "Corporate Office".  Excuse me....who the hell answers the phone Corporate Office? Right off the bat you know this is b***s***.  So I ask her what is this number for....then she tells me its for the Blackstone Group.  So I tell her someone just called me asking for a different person on my phone.  Then she asks me for a case number, so I give her the case number in my message.  She pulls up a file for Mr. Allah.  So I'm like...great well....I'm not Mr. Allah so stop calling me!  Then she's like well ok I'd be glad to remove your information but I need to know what number you were called on.  So I tell her I don't know.  She's like well....there's over 30 numbers for Mr. Allah.  I'm like....30 numbers?!?! Thats a heck of a lot of phone numbers for  1 person isn't it?  She's like...well....Mr. Allah is in a lot of trouble.  So I'm like...well...you have his file open in front of you, make a note in your file that YOU'RE CALLING THE WRONG PEOPLE! Then she tells me if someone calls the next time to just tell them to remove my number from their list.  I don't plan to answer the phone if these people call again.  This is some kind of bullcrap scam with people posing as attorneys from a law office.  I wouldn't buy into it.

I recently went through this entire process with "Black Stone". I received the same call from a "process server". I was curious and skeptical, when I called back it was about a credit card that I owed. Apparently what they do is they purchase bad debt, give the debtors the option to settle, or sue for the balance in full. I wasn't going to pay but they had the original documents from my credit card agreement and was going to sue me for the balance plus the attorney fees, it was a case that I couldn't win. Instead of going through all the stress of court, I just ended up settling for pennies on the dollar. My credit actually improved after the debt was paid. They aren't crooks but they are some damn good collectors. If you can't  pay, the best thing to do is not answer the phone. If you can then just make sure you get a damn good settlement. Mine was 30% of the balance.

"Monica" called (CID # blocked) and said she was w/ "the County Dept. of Processing and Servicing" and something about a summons and lawsuit.  Then she called my son's cell phone and left voicemail w/ 877# threatening an arrest warrant.  I called our county offices, and they don't even have a P&S Dept., the Sheriff serves the summons/subpoenas/warrants, and this is a common scam for collection agencies and identity theives.  A call to 877# was answered as "Blackstone Financial."  At best, Blackstone are liars, at worst, criminals themselves.

The last few posts on this thread seem fraudulent.  If a process server came to Sam-Ander-S0n's job, and he had to sign "something", then what is he doing on the Internet searching for a phone number that he already knows who the caller is.

As for JEANNY, if someone is suing you, then someone is suing you.  How would you have saved money by calling?

I got the same call on Wednesday, April 28, 2010.  The caller said I had 24 hours to respond.  I was concerned at first but the person that left the message was just vague enough for me to be suspicious so I saved the voice mail and forgot about it.  I just heard it again today as I was going through my voice messages and it occurred to me to search for the phone number on the Internet.  That is how I found this thread.  Today is May 15, 2010 and no one has come looking for me "2 days later".

I got the same call a few days ago, I didnt call back and about  2 days later a process server came to my job, i had to sign something.

I received a message from this company, asked for me by another name and provided some reference # to a supposed case. I called the number and they answered the phone "Corporate Offices" I did not provide any information to the person who answered. This appears fraudulent

received an email from my employer that there was a call for me from this number. i called and it is a financial place. blackstone financial or flagstone financial im not sure, hard to understand the recording. they left a message at my work and said it was a "court summons." i checked my credit report and there is no fraudulent activity that i can see right now. apparently, according to LA superiorcourt, there have been identity fraud from calls by people asking for personal information and claiming to be with a court. i just find it unusual to get a court summons by phone and not by mail for anything. my credit is clean and i dont have any tickets or anything of that sort.
