Every day for the past week and now twice a day.  I answered once but quickly hung up, never answered the other calls when I see the ID number.  Presently calling Rogers to make a complaint but been already waiting 15 minutes on hold for customer service listening to boring music.

I'm back to report I received my phone today as promised. I called Rogers to confirm there weren't any changes to my current pricing or hardware upgrade eligibility. No effect whatsoever. I basically just got a free phone.

Odd thing is I never called in to complain about dropped calls and didn't receive a text telling me about it. I received the call from Teleperformance Canada on behalf of Rogers completely out of the blue.

I finally answered this call about 20 minutes ago after screening it day after day. The lady said she was calling from Teleperformance on behalf of Rogers Wireless. The point of the call was to offer me a free BlackBerry Bold 9790 or Curve 9300. It's just a free phone with no strings attached. She said Rogers has been experiencing loads of dropped calls on its network of late and this was their way of making it up to either long term customers or those most affected.

I asked her how this would effect my current month to month plan (my contract ended in September 2011), and she said it wouldn't. I also don't have a data add on, but she said that didn't matter either. She also stated it wouldn't effect any potential hardware upgrade as I've been able to get one since September. I even asked what would happen if I decided to leave Rogers tomorrow and she said I'd be able to keep the phone because it really is just a free phone Rogers is sending as a sort of "sorry for the dropped call inconvenience".

I wasn't offered the $5 off per month like Gg, but no big deal. I didn't have to give any credit card, email, or any other personal information. She knew specific details about my Rogers account (such as my current phone, dates of my previous contract etc), so I didn't feel it was some company trying to scam me.

I'm always totally skeptical of this type of thing, so I guess we'll wait and see if the phone actually comes in 10 days.

Hey everyone.. if you get a call from this number.... ANSWER IT!!!!!
They called me offering me a free blackberry 9300 curve OR a blackberry 9790 bold OR a 5$ credit off my phone bill for the next 12 months.

I rejected the call and said to call back on a later date, I phone rogers immediately and they confirmed the offer is legit.. After long holding periods and a phew phone calls, I got redirected to this number (You can't call back this number they have to call YOU) I was sent a FREE Blackberry 9790 because Rogers noticed i've been having alot of dropped calls lately...

Honestly I know it sounds TOO good to be true, but they added no additional charges, I recorded the phone call for proof if anything.. but my new phone is on it's way

Legit!!

I've been woken up twice by this ridiculous firm.
I've answered over a dozen times, sometimes unknown but same reps from same firm.
I have blatantly told them to stop calling me and remove me from their damn list.
One time a rude man told me 'I dont want my free phone?' I said 'No' and he said 'Well then you're an idiot' and hung up. ridiculous

if rogers subcontracts this company is beyond me, I called in and got this number blocked. I threatened to leave Rogers and in compensation for waking me up twice I asked for a free month credit, which was given.

I've gotten this several times since leaving Rogers and ported my number to a discount cell carrier. Rogers can stick their "system access fee" and all their three year contracts up their a$$! Cheaper deals with no contracts are out there if you look around.

Got this call AFTER I already switched to Fido. So happy I dumped Rogers. Yesterday I blocked out all those who call on Rogers' behalf. What a relief!!! It's a pleasure knowing they call but cannot get through! All the made-up charges (like 'system access' and penalty interest for being 2 days late on a PREPAYMENT for services they have not yet provided!) and all the made-up 'savings' and the harassing unwanted phone calls, all these show how disrespectful Rogers is of its customers. No wonder it is losing customers left, right and center. Hey Rogers, game over!

That number just attempted to reach me on both my home phone and my cell.  We have both services through Rogers. We'll be calling to report it for sure!  Glad you gave Rogers the heads up, Cher!

I've reported them to Rogers.  They guy I talked to at Rogers could not see why this company was calling me and what for.  He said that they will phone home phone numbers or text your cell phone for any changes.  I think it's a scam and he was going to get the investigation team at Rogers to check it out.  If you are receiving these calls, contact Rogers and make a complaint.

I think I should answer it next time and just get over it answer whatever they want to say or ask...lol but i'm always at work when they calling me and i dont have time to answer it thou?/

they have called me 6 times in December as my contract with Rogers has just expired. If this is how Rogers deals with possibly renewing cell contracts I think i'm done with them too. I answered it once and told them I wasn't interested. that hasn't stopped them...obviously. ha.

This number has called me every afternoon at 3:00 pm for the last week or so. I never answer, and if this is a Rogers-affiliated credit card fraud operation, it could be a very big can of worms that's about to have the lid lifted off of it. If it happens again tomorrow, I'm calling Rogers to complain and I would urge everyone else receiving these calls to do the same.

Same! I receive calls from 877-649-4727 and they never leave a message. I'm a WIND customer and Rogers doesn't have a chance of stealing my business with unwanted sales calls.

I can confirm Evan's message above.  This number (877-649-4727) called my cell phone yet again last night and I answered for the first time.  They told me they were 'teleperformance' and that the call was free to me.  They were calling about some kind of survey of my 'customer experience' with Rogers service.  When I told them that I had already cancelled by service with Rogers, they didn't persue the survey any longer.
