Same here. I think it was an automated message, just a reminder of the appointment for installation. I returned the call just to be sure. This is AT& T, not a scammer. If you didn't order from them, it's probably just a mistake.

Multiple calls, not messages left.  No calls returned.  If this is LEGIT, why would they not leave a message.  As for having something installed, not a chance, as I reside with my daughter and her husband.  Find this very annoying, especially calling at 7 pm EST on a Saturday... PLEASE STOP CALLING.

Called aunt's cell phone like 10 times all day from early morning till 8pm. She kept saying she didn't order anything. Who are these pestulant vermin? They're like roaches. You just can't seem to fumigate them fast enough.

I work for a dispatch center for another company and this is somewhat common. First, if they're not calling to solicit and are calling to confirm an appointment it doesn't fall under the "do not call" rules. Although you may not have ordered service to confirm, there was probably a typo for the phone number of someone who is getting that service and that correct number should have gotten the call to confirm.

Found this number on my caller i.d. and now that I see everyone is saying it is AT&T calling to confirm some type of installation, this brings up many new questions for me.
I have never, nor anyone else in my household ever had AT&T. They called our home phone, not our cell phones. They left no messages and only called one time the other day.

Not a spam call. Confirmation call regarding repair work done to our AT&T U-Verse internet connection, with a callback number provided in case the repair was unsatisfactory.

I didn't answer, but the message was from AT&T U-verse about my repair appointment this afternoon, so it's not a scam (not for us anyway).

These messages originate from an AT&T subsidiary in the Philippines called Due Date Assurance Center.  The order entry software requires new U-verse accounts to have two phone numbers.  The computer operator is forced to "make up" the second number when the new customer doesn't have one.

You can call the subsidiary at 888-910-9929 and have your number removed from the other account(s).  New accounts are set-up all the time so don't be surprised if the problem persists.   The real solution will require changing the new account software or perhaps better educating the new accounts staff.

If the messages persist, I recommend you email attcustomercare@att.com with the details. Perhaps if they realize this effects multiple people they will be more likely to correct it.

If they are unable to stop the problem... investigate if FCC laws concerning unwanted texts and phone calls apply.

These messages originate from an AT&T wholly owned subsidiary in the Philippines called Due Date Assurance Center.New U-verse accounts are required to have two phone numbers and the computer operator is forced to enter a "made up" number when the new customer doesn't have a second phone.

You can reach the subsidiary at 888-910-9929 and have your number removed from the other account(s).  Though that is just a band-aid.  New accounts are set-up all the time and the real solution will require changing the software or perhaps better educating the new accounts entry staff.

I also recommend emailing attcustomercare@att.com. Perhaps if they realize this effects multiple people they will be more likely to correct it.

And if all else fails... You can investigate if FCC laws concerning unwanted texts and phone calls apply.

It's AT&T calling to confirm that the customer still wants the truck roll for a service issue/install/technician visit.

It's not spam. It's not a telemarketer.

Got a phone call from this number. It showed as AT&T unverse on caller id. It stated that a unverse tech would be by between 9-11. I did not order nor would I ever have anything from AT&T ever again. Please stop calling me you could not give me any AT&T service at all for free after major problems with them in the past.

I received a call on my cell phone for an installation appointment, but I don't use AT&T for anything. I tried to follow the prompts and it led me to a call center queue. Thinking it might be a scam, I hung up. It's disturbing they would call to a number I don't give out to everyone. Perhaps it isn't a scam, but it is a terrible way to do business. I won't be looking at AT&T for future services.

AT&T calls to upgrade our service and will arrive between 1-3pm.  We call back to tell them we don't have AT&T, they said they would correct their records THEN we get another robo call confirmed the service has been completed.  I would never consider switching to AT&T and only for this reason.  What a total mess!

Robo-call confirming an AT&T(Uverse) installation appointment.  Yes, we moved and had an appointment, but this thing has called my cell phone about 8 times and our old home phone at least 4 times.  "Confirming" by pressing the number given doesn't seem to do anything to stop the calls.
